You have to analyze the market first before buying coins, this is important. You must be able to read BTCD, Bitcoin, and Alt coins charts. If you have analyzed, you must have a "Target Profit" plan, this is useful for avoiding losses.

This is the pattern I use for trading:

BTCD: Increases, BTC: Increases, ALTS: Decreases
BTCD: Increases, BTC Decreases, ALTS: Decreases Rapidly
BTCD: Increases, BTC: Stable, ALTS: Stable
BTCD: Decreases, BTC: Increases, ALTS: Increases Rapidly
BTCD: Decreases, BTC: Decreases, ALTS: Stable/Decreases
BTCD: Decreases, BTC: Stable, ALTS: Increases

How come that with every trade i do, the outcome is always the opposite?
When i buy, market goes down...when i sell, market goes up...strange

Thats what usually happens when you are newbie and try to FOMO into coins based on influencer activity alone. Do your resrach and pick coins based on FA for long term to invest and then get into trading with a small amount.

Well, which are those you think are strange? Perhaps you are lucky because those are coincidences and you gain profit.
That is perfect timing in trading, [buy, when the market price goes down and sell, when the market price goes up], it is really great and you will surely have a profit on that way. It is really hard to have a profit in trading if luck and knowledge are away from you, it needs perfect timing upon executing orders, long term trading is way safe than daily trading.

It means you're new to the game, and you're driven by emotion.
Find few people who do TA, and ask them, more ofthen than not, they will give you an idea how market will move.
Or you could just be cursed. If that's true, just tell us what you plan to buy/sell and when, so we can do the opposite Cheesy

My question is:
Why did you sell your coins when the price is down?
Do you panic because the price is going down at the time and you did panic selling?
actually this very usual and common to happen in most traders, especially beginners or someone who only follow the hype and FOMO.
That is why it is better to learn first about trading before entering.
Many people only follow the hype to buy certain coins because of FOMO. However, basically, they don't know how the market works or how altcoins. Many altcoins are very volatile the market is not stable. That is why it is very normal to go and up in the significant time for certain altcoins.

I suggest you learn more about trading and also seek the information about the coins that you already bought. Never panic selling when the price is going down, keep calm and look for the news that happens. I suggest you also choose top coins at first.

Swap your habits. When you really want to sell something, then buy. Conversely, when you want to buy something, sell it. And always keep your position.
In fact, very few traders make a profit, but hodlers have a stable profit.

My advice for you is to get your trading strategy clear in your mind. Always know why you are buying/selling an asset at a price level. Especially on the short-term markets are extremely unpredictable, some even call it chaotic, but in this chaos you can find opportunity if you have a sound strategy and good risk management system set in place.

Try to buy at support and sell at resistances. See if the market still goes the opposite way. Wink

It is possible that you lack information regarding the market movement and market sentiment of the one you are trading.  We should be at least knowledgeable on the current market sentiment in order for us to at least know the right trend of the market before doing any action.

It's not strange at all and I guess there are lots of people already experienced the same thing as you (include me as well), it commonly happens when you trade because FOMOed or doing random trades which means there is no base knowledge in your trading activity either fundamental or technical analysis.

Because you ride the wrong wave, i mean you buy when the downtrend still strong and you sell when the uptrend still strong.
You can predict about it by Technical Analisis while sometimes its just a hype that cant predicted well.

It's not strange, but you enter wrong way when buying and when selling it, you could say you are still not good at analyzing charts in the market, I initially also experienced events like you but with a lot of experience I know when to enter and exit, so I advise you not to give up on studying Wink

You have the answer already; and it is easy. You need to up your game as a trader because you seem to be interpreting trade charts wrongly and this is exactly why the opposite of what you choose happens. I will advise you stop buying and figure out where you get it wrong; correct it, aply a more different approach; until you get desired results.

That means if you lack experience and it's better if you can try to trade with a small amount of money and you should understand how market will work dude. These days so many new traders were doing the trade without try to understand about the market cycle. The result will be the same as what happened with you. You are still doing something wrong with your money maybe.
Try to understand how the market works first before you wanna join to trade and it will make you a bit better than this time.

I used to experience similar thing... and i would assume it was deliberate or random. I think I found a way around it by being patient and buying up dips and selling gradually rather than everything, in anticipation of a continue rise in price in order to sell alittle more.
Try and plan your trade in a way that you benefit from any direction the market goes.
I would buy more and sell less for a more healthy market.

Not strange  Cheesy this happened to many people including myself too, the fact is those who can't handle such failure end up leaving trading and find something else, I'm not good at trading either but all I can say is always buy low and sell high, the best time to buy is when price is really down or when corrections is ongoing, also don't trade with new altcoins, go for stronger altcoins like NEO or BTC

That's not strange.

It happens to most traders but it is very unusual if you happen to experience that most of the time. Learn with those experiences that you've gained. It's not all the time that you'll be having the losses and opposite result when you trade.

If trading isn't good for you, then just become an investor that holds and sells if necessary.

It's not only happening with you but that's happened with me when i was starting my trade in the past. You should remember what already said by warren " buy low and sell high" if you are playing short in the market and then your risk is very high due to the volatility that can change the price anytime. it looks like you are always getting trapped at peak price.

You should always try to use the dump as the point to enter the market and the recovery to be the best time to sell your coin.
