This is allowed as long as it is not a bitcointalk account. You can even provide services if you're good at programming or graphic editing. Just always use a trusted escrow here in the forum to prevent fraud from both sides.

Check this section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=51.0 (Goods) you can do business here it's not just digital goods but also physical goods such as selling hardwares however there's a lot of scammers wandering around here so it's much better to use an escrow to every transaction no matter how small or big the transactions are.

It is not unbelieving that there are facilities available for transactions in the forum through escrow, but this also has weaknesses because it requires a long time needed. so it's not advisable to make transactions in the forum because a lot can happen that might not be held accountable. use it according to what already exists.

users selling anything for bitcoin there. from digital goods to physical goods that need shipping and this is a global forum so you can find people from nearly all around the world here. and as others mentioned be careful and use escrow. it is also a good idea to read the sticky topics in each board, they always contain useful information.

You only need three things: common sense, a person whom you want to deal with and a highly-trusted escrow.

Knowing that you're in a forum of basically anonymous Joes, it's hard to actually find a deal that will not get screwed, or you ending up scammed. Escrows are somewhat the means to combat that, though be careful that there are also trusted people that can turn against you and start doing their scamming ways even though they have built quite a rep.

Trading in this forum is still pretty much active even though times have changed. You may find some good deals from time to time however, if the deal is too good to be true, ask questions and do some research first before getting into it. The cons, however, is that trades are usually slow, although with a trusted escrow, trades/deals will be smooth and most of the time, funds would be safe.
