It's another messaging app for groups, like slack.  I don't like it personally, they want too much information and the program isn't very intuitive imo.

Telegram us an application that has got different functionalities such as group discussion, chats and several other social activities. As a part of promotion these days campaigns for such telegram too have been started. This helps the participants know much about the project which one the respective user promotes.

Telegram is an app which works similarly like skype but has some unique feature also.
I do not whether it has call facility or not but you can check more manually.
You can connect to your friends globally, send attachments and many more.
There are some groups which offer you money for posting in it.

I'm a newbie and as all newbies I have some questions to ask. If someone here can help me and explain I would be grateful forever.
I found a thread here on bitcointalk two days ago saying that there are plenty of jobs on Telegram at https://t.me/bitjobs
When I try to accesss this address on my browser I get an "The address wasn’t understood", altough the good page is dissplayed forr half second.
Is there any application that I need installed to access the Telegram? What is Telegram after all, a link shortner or something else (my guess is that it is something else related to the world of crypto-coins).
