Yes, I'm an asshole
How long is the confirmation time for waves? I usually use DOGE as its rate is mostly stable (read: stuck) and helps assure me that it won't significantly changed in case of long time confirmations etc. But if waves offer better services, I am more than willing to reconsider.

Dogecoin and litecoin are both fast and cheap to send.
i think with this rate, ( only my opinion ) dogecoin will have more fees than bitcoin if we want instantly because only different 1 satoshi can make more fee than if use BTC

what is the best altcoin for fast (and cheap) transfer between platforms?
The feeds with bitcoins is now +-0.002 and is slow

Many altcoins are cheap in market. But Ripple is one of the highly raise cryptocurrency. This is continuously improved in current market. most of the competitors are also like to invest in this coin. My opinion is currently Bitcoin is drastic improvement in current. This is also one high profitable investment. But Bitcoin is high value in market. So you spend more money and gain also more in future.

I use Doge or Digibyte when available. Steem is great because there's no transfer fee and the major exchanges all have it.

Hope that helps!

Yes I am doing it with doge too. Its nice to have this in your list. With digibyte its  fine also as I use this sometime when transferring from exchange to another. Also I am not familiar with steem but I think its  worth a try.

You can try to choose ethereum and why? The fees of each ethereum transaction was around 2 cents but it widely adopted by the majority of the exchange sites or even the local exchange site already added ethereum.
This give you the more advantage rather than use another platform.

DASH, DGB and ETH. All of them are very fast when you send money to someone else. Always takes seconds or minutes, including ETH. If you use ETH, pay fee around $0.5 and see your transaction will be done within 2 minutes at most.

DGB is also fast but I don't use it frequently.

I advise you to invest in waves. I think the fees are not more than 0.001 Waves for 1 transaction and it have a big chance to rise next year.

don't go with digibyte as above suggested because it fluctuates more in the difficulty and price chart for the long time. You can invest on ripple and waves as of now. Because these coins now showing better growth in the chart.
If you have enough investment fund you can mine the altcoins like zcash and monero to make profit instead of buying it and hold it more.
