Most coins in Poloniex are junk and overpriced. I don't mind buying junk coins but not at these overvalued price. XVC crashed on Thursday after a long period of slow downtrend.
I am holding my bitcoin till most coins are below 10k satoshi again. Then maybe it will be time to accumulate some of those cheap altcoins.

Have been looking into GAME lately, a lot of things coming within the next year. No hype, just production. Gaming and crypto are meant for each other and GAME just might get out on top. Decently priced right now in my opinion as well. Either way good luck.

One of the best coins that have a large daily trading volume I consider ethereum and seeing it on poloniex the trading volume is ~9,000BTC and ~400BTC on yobit so trading this coin is not bad, also recently the zcash seems good too.

I think we have good opportunity to buy Ethereum because the price is low, and for sure it will increase during the next year, Ethereum obtains new interests and adoptions, I believe it will pump next year.

I am investing very low on bitcoin mining earnings (which they say you can no longer do without expensive machines, but in the winter it's the same electricity as heating your house). I've bought lbry, curecoin, steem, doge, ripple, synereo, and digibyte. All are very cheap and portfolio is going up since I've been buying them over the last week.

Lisk and Waves are rising because there are side projects to pump them. I still don't trust both of the projects but we may see bigger prices because of these projects. i don't know Stratis but i agree with Lisk and Waves they have been showing some signs of a break out.

and right now i think there are three coins that i should watch myself ant they are LTC, ETH and XMR because i have got a feeling that they are going to get pumped real hard.

you should have said these 3 days ago, right now it is actually a good time to get in many of the altcoins because the down trend has stopped and it has been a while. right now if you do a quick check you can see all the green upward changes for most of them.

don't count too much on the news you hear about "projects with altcoins" and that goes for all the altcoins out there because there really isn't any real project that can be done with altcoins and it never changes anything in the future of them. they remain the same pump and dump forever. especially a coin like ethereum (classic or other chain) which has so many bugs in the code.

I would buy DOGE, it goes 31 sat to 35 sat. I think somebody planned to pump it, maybe we see 40 sat soon.
I'm also interested XMR, price is lowered since latest events. I don't know other coins, there are a lot of them in the market. You can't follow every coin.

The ETC does not have active developments. It just copies the code from Ethereum. So it is quite risky.

i have recently look at poloniex exchange indeed some altcoins still have down trend and some of them such as ZEC,ETH,ETC or STEEM still unsteady and i have to says that currently still very difficult to find the exact altcoins to be invest especially for long term but in my opinion Do not in a hurry to buy particular altcoins and if you not really sure just keep your Bitcoin at those exchange and waiting next altcoins who have potential to got profit

i don't think this is the right time to make investment because almost all altcoin has decrease too much for the price. rather to make middle and long investment, i will go with short investment because i think we don't want to keep the coins too long when we can see that the price is going up and down quickly, better to play safe and still to make some profit.

most of the coins are good to buy right now because they all had a big dip one way or another. all these coins must come back up now. and some of them had already started doing so.

but i particularly have my eyes on Litecoin, Monero and ETH + ETC

i also think it is a good time to pick some cheap coins from altcoin markets these days but also i am a little scared that this drop is not going to stop here.

especially in some of the bigger coins. in smaller ones, sure it is possible that it was the end of it but in bigger coins, with bigger $$$ all that money is flying out back to bitcoin these days.

this week, nothing is good. and all the altcoins are super risky to invest in because they are all falling due to investors taking their money out of this market to join in the bitcoin price rise.

Best would not be the appropriate term but rather something interesting to try. Those other alts can't be tagged as the best since their price is a matter of pumps and dumps. And doubling the investment doesn't have the right time but rather right tyming and ability to take a ride when there is a pumping scene.

Since Polo only listing coins that has active volumes, I suggest choosing those alts that has established a daily active volume.

i'd wait a short while to see what bitcoin has planned. if it really decides to go crazy that'll cause alts to dip further. and then they themselves might go crazy, but I dunno. they've been pumping like mad all year when bitcoin hasn't been doing very much at all.
