I will never understand why anyone would go all-in in a coin they know nothing about, I could understand if they invested lets say 1% of their capital in such a coin as a way to increase the profitability of their portfolio, that way if they happen to lose that investment they can easily recover it from the other coins they have in their portfolio and in the case the coin went up very rapidly then they could make a decent amount of money.

But going all-in means that your economic future depends entirely on your ability to select the right coin, something that even the best investors would never do, as the risk you are taking by such decision is so high that it does not matter if you succeed or not as it is simply the wrong choice no matter how you look at it.

Idea maybe but extra money? Not really, because you can just divide the money that supposed to go only for btc, if what you want is to have a diverse portfolio. Altcoins are cheaper than in btc and you will only need to invest a small portion of them because alts can be riskier than in btc. Btc is still going to be our main investment here.

There is no such thing as 100% guarantee here in cryptos because cryptos are volatile and unpredictable. Even btc that is considered to be the safest coin still cant guarantee that it can give you your desired profit because bears or corrections can come unexpectedly but you will be fine as long as you don't rattle.

Hi buddy. When you are talking about bitcoin halving it indicates that the only coin you should invest in would be bitcoin itself.
Don't go for altcoin investments if you want to take the benefit out of bitcoin halving.
Besides that if you are asking in general about the best altcoin investments then I think Ethereum and Binance coin would be better coins for investing.

Also, I would advice you keep reading posts on this forum and even the comments because sometimes you get very valuable information from those posts.

It is really a good choice to have bitcoin in investment portfolio if one is expecting post-halving gains. It makes no sense for them to target profits without considering bitcoin as one of the best among thousands of other altcoin, so the bottom line is that bitcoin should not be ignored.

Some other best advice in my opinion is, the OP could check out some of the potential altcoin on the current top list in market cap including ETH, BNB or others. Of course I don't think stablecoin is the best case for long term investing, so there are only a few that might be better than picking them at random.

I'm guessing, if you are at your current age you are still in school and of course the savings or investment you mean for your future, right? I would personally suggest Bitcoin and don't bet on shitcoins. If you focus on buying and holding BTC before the halving, I'm sure you'll get a profit that's worth it.

Even now, the bitcoin price is very supportive of making purchases because it has dropped drastically from ATH.

Focus on Bitcoin, don't be provoked or tempted by shitcoins that don't provide profits, but provide losses. it is not all about being known to the crypto market but it is a matter of how this coin is worth in the future. Imagine that from $0 and it continues to rally that it reaches $60k last Bullrun, it probably there's more it happens to Bitcoin.

But being considerate of the risk in investing in Bitcoin alone, it could be wise to split investment to altcoins.

Unfortunately its bad for miners as reward gets dropped by half and they have to either tackle the halved rewards and profitability or increase the mining power. These are some of the reasons which makes price go down but for us it’s opportunity to buy more. Don’t know, we are already way down so I don’t really think we need to await halving period. If you wanna profit then buy now and book the profits.

OP, my candid advice to you is to wait for the bear to subside. From the prism I see things, I believe the bear isn't anywhere close to ending. The next Bitcoin halving is in 2014. I've noticed a pattern that Bitcoin always dips further a year before the halving and then skyrockets a year after the halving. In essence, it will be better to wait out this 2022 and then buy in the last quarters of 2023 for a haul.

There's no need to ask of what crypto currency is best to invest in the next halving because Bitcoin is the only one that does halving and make a bull run after that. So you definitely gonna choose Bitcoin over altcoins here, and if you have enough money to buy during this dip congratulations as long as you know how to hodl them for a long term investment. You know the next halving will be happening in the next two years from now and a little more months before the pump. Agree Bitcoin is the best when it comes to consistency on price growth and also less volatility but Altcoins is better on profit percentage coz it's more volatile than Bitcoin. If the OP is lucky enought to scoop the right altcoins on the right price. He might get a profit that worth more than a Bitcoin growth for a long time.

Then by doing that you will be given little idea about trading, then try to watch for more strategies on YouTube, then apply it by trading little by little. What I don't understand is why you're looking another coins on Bitcoin event? That's like you're going to KFC but you're ordered a burger, there's nothing wrong, but KFC main dish is fried chicken... not burger.

It's encouraging to see young ones having the desire to grow in such a way. But this investment and growth in the crypto market doesn't come by easily. It means you'd have to put in some work even after knowing or deciding which to invest in. I would say bitcoin is the best but then one has to be able to afford it. You need to know how the market works and understand the statistics. But at the same time there are alt coins you can go for as well that are much more affordable and can turn out to be very much profitable, be it long or short.

It was a short period of time good thing to buy UST as imagined, it is pegged to 1 dollar and everyone lost hope about that so much that the price dropped to 30 cents for a while, so it was a good buy at that level but how would we know that it would survive? At the end of the day it did, but there was no guarantee that it would, which is why I totally understand people who didn't.

Real answer is definitely bitcoin I agree with everyone, its such a good coin and it does provide great returns to people and everyone should be buying as much as they possibly can without hurting their finances too much.

Your age is not a disadvantage but an advantage, the sooner you begin your investing career the sooner you will reap the benefits, now most likely the problem in your case will be the size of your capital and how much you will be able to obtain during the next years, so when I take all of that into account I think it is better for you to take the safest path and just invest in bitcoin instead of trying your luck with altcoins, since you have no way to know which altcoins will survive during the next years.

The next halving probably will be close to 2 years and prices of coin including bitcoin is down, so investing right away isn't a wrong move. To invest, I suggest bitcoin to be a longtime hodl. Meanwhile other valuable coins are there in top rating in CMC, you can make a check for yourself.

I mean if you're basing it on the next Bitcoin halving, then I reckon it itself would be the best option? I'm kinda biased here ofc, but Bitcoin halvings have historically been times when the Bitcoin market has been rather positive, so yea go with Bitcoin. Though that is if you're going to invest now ofc, instead of on the date of the halving itself.

Outside of BTC though, then that's a bit more difficult. The span of time between now and the halving is still 2 years, there's going to be a LOT of coins coming in and out. You can probably profit off of some of them in the short term if you play it right, but that's like a lottery imo. I'd probably just DCA in Bitcoin tbh, rather than finding some coins to short.

You are 15 years old,so I don't think that the big crypto exchanges would be an option for you,obviously because of the KYC verification.
Where are you going to buy crypto,since almost all crypto traders and crypto trading platforms would require ID verification,in order to for you purchase cryptocurrencies?Do you really have any fiat money to invest?I would recommend you to stay away from any unregulated crypto exchanges and crypto traders,who claim that they would sell you any coins.There are scammers waiting for young victims like you.
The best investment for the next halving is obviously Bitcoin Core,but I don't know how are you going to buy BTC.Altcoins are just a waste of money and time,if you ask me.

Is 15 years old allowed to register and popular exchanges like Binance and Kucoin ?
If you are legally eligible to trade cryptos then you are welcome to the crypto world.
Moreover you also have an advantage of joining the crypto world so early.
Regarding your question ,if you are interested for long term, then buying BTC will be a wise decision at the moment.
BTC has the long capability of getting profits in the future, so if you show interest now then it will be surely beneficial.

You have started early and pretty good, but it's not us who have to answer this question, it's you, since it's your money we're talking about and we cannot foresee the future.

We do trust bitcoin, also the history has shown that for long terms (4+ years) it tends to be a good investment, even if it may be falling badly now and then. It's a bitcoin forum after all.

Hi, at your age I'm impressed that you're doing the right thing by asking the right question as you have the idea of the upcoming bitcoin halving 2 years from now.
There's no other better investment than what you've said and that is with bitcoin. Two years from now, you know what's about to happen and while it's still not yet there, you can buy and choose the dollar cost average strategy until you accumulate that much.

You can go for bitcoin. After halving, all-time-high is possible.

You can go for some altcoins, but they are more volatile, have low marketcap, more risky and can be like gambling especially during bear market time which can lead to significant loss. What makes me dislike altcoin is because most of them will fall and never reach all-time-high.

But there is nothing not good to invest like 70% of your coins on bitcoin while 30% on altcoins.

Avoid shit coins, go for high marketcap altcoins if you want to go for altcoins. Most altcoins are shit coins.

But just to answer your question, the next halving is like 2 years away. A huge majority of coins and tokens in the cryptocurrency space have the tendency to be fleeting — where 'good' coins/tokens to buy today will be totally different in just a few months; hence why it's really difficult to say what the good buys will be outside BTC. 2 years is like 20 years in the cryptocurrency space.

First of all, welcome, Thiagofelipe! I hope you find the time to stay here and give some inputs or outputs here in the forum and, of course, use the search bar before anything else; maybe there are topics similar to your inquiries.

Anyway, I don't think age and your race would be a factor in having the long-term investment. You should have in mind why you are doing it in the first place and what plans you would have when you are older. I admire young people trying to think about their future immediately and people like you, who have this in their mind to be successful.

As for the Bitcoin halving, it's still best to get all the BTC that you can and make it your investment in the long run. As someone who believes in BTC, I'm biased towards it, but I think it is for good reasons.
