I'm definitely not a programming expert per se, but blockchain is just a database. Now how do you get to be a "blockchain expert"? Simply learn programming first. There's no secret to being a on-demand "blockchain developer" without knowing programming in general first.

Probably learn Python from the free courses from YouTube and Udemy first.

EDIT: oh and I forgot. If you're a fan of books, look up Mastering Bitcoin by Andreas Antonopoulos and Programming Bitcoin by Jimmy Song.

You are absolutely right. Although I'm not an expert bur looking at every wallet address. I count them as a pointer for any user. I think he should start with C++ Instead. Although, it's more complicated but I think it's more preferable.

Actually, there is no specific resources where you will completely learn about blockchain technology. I know some blockchain developer who are able to make ERC-20 based & scrypt based tokens. Professionally they are software engineer and computer engineer, when I asked them about their involvement with blockchain technology, they said that they used their basic knowledge and doing Reacher’s over online materials, then they practice by their own.

To tell you frankly, blockchain technology is hard to learn if are not an IT, computer engineer, developer, programmer. It has a lot of coding and programs that ordinary people really hard to understand.
There is nothing difficult when you want to learn and explore that knowledge. Blockchain is indeed a technology that is not easy to learn. But at least as a layman and not too well-versed about IT, can learn from the basic things about what the blockchain and its uses. For some kind of technical matters relating to programming, it takes time to learn it and with a variety of programming languages that must be understood.

the best place to find out all of that is Google and do your own practice. there are many references that can be read as a tutorial to start learning.

The best place to learn and practice Blockchain is your own computer, you can download different coin node to experiment with them and try to understand how they work.

I would like to recommend with another coin than bitcoin because it's node is heavy, more than 200Gb right now.

you won't learn much about blockchain or cryptocurrency by reading about how to write smart contracts on ethereum blockchain and majority of your links seem to be only focusing on that subject. that is not something you mix together with learning about the technology itself in my opinion. as i said before you might want to decide which route you want to go in.

Udacity nanodegree program is expensive and probably more suited for someone who wants to get a 'degree'. If you just want to 'learn', I'd not recommend it.

There is no specific course on how to learn this but the principle of blockchain is all about codes and series of layers of database. I think you can easily learn it all from watching some tutorials or beginners guide on Youtube. Plus point if you have knowledge or your field is all about programming which can helo you much better in learning and understanding blockchain even more.

to be a blockchain developer?

in my opinion it really depends on what you mean by "blockchain developer". nowadays i see a lot of people who are just interested in creating some nonsense token on one of these platforms (eg. ICOs) and call themselves "developers". for that you don't really need to learn much, or even learn blockchain technology for that matter.
but a real "blockchain developer" is someone who is familiar with cryptopgraphy, programming and P2P protocol. each of these are complicated topics that take a lot of time to master and depending on your end goals you may want to focus on parts of it more than others.
and these skills aren't going to be gained by reading books. you need to actually look at some code and write some code yourself to learn them.

I don't know how programming works but I think you can learn how blockchain works when you know how to create a blockchain yourself. Try checking this thread about how to create blockchain (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/how-to-create-blockchain-build-your-own-chain-easy-peasy-guide-5218389). You can study the codes used and also there is a explanation too. Check it out.

Block halving is coming.
Just additional from the above posts. I have a bookmark link before with a huge list of programming guides related to the blockchain that I think will help you much to learn blockchain. I'm sure you will like it and it is 100% free.

Here's the link https://github.com/openblockchains/awesome-blockchains and this https://github.com/yjjnls/awesome-blockchain

It includes the list of different programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Crystal, Javascript, SQL and many programming languages that you can use for building your own DIY blockchain or become a developer.

To practice them I think if you don't have a budget you can use the 1 year free of Google Cloud or AWS where you can deploy or test your project for free.

Blockchain technology is still not well known, so you will not find many universities that offer such lessons or even degrees.
I found some courses from the MIT and they are free and available on their website (from a famous person.)
But if you want to learn and educate yourself, aantonop’s videos are enough to do so.
