examplens has helped a lot.  I didn't think to check about auto generation of links on other sites.

Obviously .org is the way to go, although I would have preferred .io

Anyone know of a website that shows the TLDs auto generated from each major social media site?  Is that a good idea for a SEO tool?   Can links be auto generated for any TLD without installing something?

What happened with .com .net anyway?

As to my personal liking I have voted for .io only.

If your plan for this project was not limited to bitcoin only than my domain "cryptointelligence(.)net" could have been a good fit imo Roll Eyes

People don't type URL addresses randomly in their browser until they find something interesting. We access websites by clicking links, banners, bookmarks, etc.
I don't think it's a valid excuse.

Maybe you have right, I'm old school in relation to domain-business.
Here is a small test, what is from this list looks like the website address:

LeGaulois.services
LeGaulois.io
LeGaulois.org
LeGaulois.app

also, see how Facebook sees them when you write only domain name in the post. Only in org domain automatically add http:// and make it clickable.

As I say, LeGaulois.services or LeGaulois.guru is okay for specifically targeted experienced users, who will know very well how to get to the site, but it's not if you will have noobs as users.

A bit difficult to choose without knowing the domain name that goes with but I hesitate between .service and .app as it's somehow relevant to what you're planning. (voted for both)

guru, online and service i think they are only good for limited services with small user base. Many noobs still don't know that domain can have .guru extension.
just my opinion.

IDK if you are limited only to these TLD extensions, I vote for .org and .io.
.org is here only real top-level domain. although he is the worst choice of three from the highest level in the hierarchical (com, net, org). unless it will be commercial.
.io domain as the second choice from your pool is only because of .io domains are already significantly associated with technological and crypto services.
.app can be a third option.

As I need to build a new tool anyway to recursively find info in the bitcoin blockchain, I might make it available as a service for people to easily do blockchain investigations.

What top level domain would best suit such a service?  Max two choices.

Is anyone aware of any blockchain scripts?  If not, I'll build it in .NET Core, which can be run in all platforms.
