I use metamask because I don't need to import my private key every time I want to some transaction , also It is anti phishing , these days there are a lot of websites that provide Erc20 wallet but im comfortable with metamask .

I'm using myetherwallet and metamask to store your tokens. Although it still has many weaknesses, but to me this is the best 2 wallet for now.
Don't worry about theft of tokens, if you can keep your Private Key safe and can also avoid web pishing then you won't get token theft. And yes, I recommend myetherwallet as a wallet to accommodate various kinds of erc20 tokens.

I would have love to say MEW, but i have been phished before. The best wallet for erc20 tokens is trust wallet which is available on google play store and ios store. You can securely make transactions and make use of dapps using its dapp browser.

1. Bookmark myetherwallet.com so that you won't put it on search button and the chance of being directed to a fake one is 0%. You will be sure of that the MEW you are visiting is the real one.
2. Don't save to online spreadsheets, wordpad or emails your private keys. Much better to write it down on a piece of paper.
3. If you are still not sure of the security of MEW, you can use nano ledger s.
Myetherwallet.com is secure, when you don't trap into pishing sites, that have similar spellings. You also could use Coinomi to recieve and store your tokens, but to get them listed, you must later anyway swap your ETH address (export private keys) to myetherwallet.com. So it would be more handy for you to use MEW directly.
If you are scared for stolen, I can suggest you to use MEW or MyEtherWallet, I used it for a month and I didn't encounter any losses. Just be sure that don't give your private key to others and always do what the safety reminders in the site.

I am using MyEtherWallet because it is compatible with ERC20 tokens. It is safe as long as you do not click anything that may be a phishing site wherein you will input your private keys. Usually, you will receive e-mails from those phishers telling you to update something so don't just immediately click anything you received because there is a risk that they will be able to have access to your wallet. Always check the URL when accessing the site because the interface would be the same so you will not notice immediately if it is a phishing site or not. Always triple check the address. If you want to be more secure then store in a Ledger Nano S which is a hardware wallet. It would be safe because it is stored offline.

I use MEW (Myetherwallet) but I also use imtoken to minimize from logging in on a browser. Because it is prone to hacking when you always log in into a browser so I use imtoken android app when making a transaction. Imtoken android app is also easy and comfortable to use. You will just import your MEW address into it then you can use your MEW address into your Imtoken app. I also have a metamask in my browser. It works as a anti-hack into your browser because it detects if a site has a malicious software.

Youd better get a hardware wallet such as trezor or ledger nano and then linked it on your myetherwallet account for a better protection against exploits but if you just cant afford to buy a hardware wallet then you can try creating a metamask account. Metamask can be get on google or firefox add ons , you can then link your metamask to myetherwallet for a much easy and secure transactions whenever you do trade on some online exchange. these were only few methods to help you secure your myetherwallet account.

Metamask are more secured since it is recommend by the MEW site itself and they are putting some not that they are discouraging their user to use the private key feature since those selection is not safe and MEW team cannot do anything with it if their site will be hack.

-you're about to join multiple accounts with different identities and personal informations on a single airdrop or bounty campaign , though multiple accounts are not allowed to participate on a single airdrop or campaign, it's also risky but its still possible.
- you want to organize your tokens, its better to separate the wallet for airdrops and for bounty campaigns
- you want to bcome more secure. Having multiple wallet for storing token has a low possibility of being hack and also its very important to protect your private keys.

you can try it to be just an Alternate Wallet or Mid wallet then
if you convert some Tokens to Ethereum .
send the Eth in your main wallet so you can be safe
I use myetherwallet (MEW) too. I think its a decent wallet for smaller amounts. I really like the easy handling and that its easy to understand.

best wallet for me for erc20 is myetherwallet based on coins and tokens. You just need to be extra careful because there is many of hackers then save your private key in the safe place because somebody can stole it and get all your tokens in myetherwallet. Myetherwallet is easy to use so you can understand and you will able to use it properly. Just be extra careful.
myetherwallet is probablty the best wallet for erc20 based coins or tokens but keep in mind that myetherwallet is not 100 percent safe at all as it is the most targeted wallet by hackers and phisers around the globe. therfor much better if you can buy a hardware wallet then link or connect it to myetherwallet for a much safer and easier acces to your account but if you dont have a hardware wallet then you can also create a metamask acount in chrome or firefox store/add ons to be able to secure your coins freely whenever you use mew in some online exchanger.
This seems unpopular to the forum itself but it works great and also have user friendly interface in my opinion.. imToken been my erc20 wallet for many months now and used in sending and receiving tokens.. Fast and even the transaction fee is literally small than any others I’ve tried before.. Don’t have encountered any problem regarding my tokens in this mobile wallet application..

MEW was the best, but you need to becareful right now, a lot of phising site and email that say from myetherwallet or etherdelta. Never click one of them or you will lose your money

Myetherwallet is the one I use for everyday use of ERC20 (Ethereum) tokens. It is very easy to understand, you just set password and download wallet file to use lately.
All of the people here are suggesting the same good wallet for ERC 20 tokens. If there's no actual wallet for that ERC 20 token that has been made by their developers, they don't have any alternative to it but to let their coin takers use myetherwallet. I did used this many times and it's a very easy wallet to use, just keep your private keys and important details on it keeping it to a safe place where no one will know. For OP, you should close now this repetitive answers about MEW.

I think the majority agree that myetherwallet is secure enough if you don't mis-spell the address link. Using the UTC file with the password (paste/edit) is more secure. Recently we faced huge attack via slack DM spreadly used for management bounty campaigns participants which most of theme are recenly involved in the crypto world. Even for regular users, they didn't used to face such attaks. I use MetaMask as well, it's also secure if you just keep you navigator secure. Always take attention.

I just tried MyEtherWallet as some masters suggested. I think it's good enough because it allows users to hold their own private key and key file.
