Having a revolutionary idea might not be enough to make an ICO successful; majority of investors look for companies or organizations that go all the way bay prior to conducting coin offerings. It makes sense that these kind of projects has a hight chance of success compared to some unknown entity without a working product.
Projects that have a MVP is what are people are looking for in your opinion? I think so too!

I consider that it would be better to start with the creation of community because it is the main element of the future success for each ICO I am sure.

First you definitely need to start with Whitepaper and take help from experts who knows how to write and edit whitepaper. You should consider all the legal obstacles you can face with someone good with cyber law (legal advisor) and for finding member for your teams you can try LinkedIn, Bitcointalk forum and Reddit. Give a post with you requirements and contact people who are interested. Trust should be the factor when you interview people for your team.

I think that in connection with this situation in the market is not the best time for launching crypto projects, especially for people who do not know what is needed and how to do it. The most top projects do not make a profit.

Road map and whitepaper are important points to take a part with an ICO. Because both will illustrate all the projects owned by an ICO other than the developers of the ICO will look at both. This factor will give an investor when getting a loss or gain profit. Just an information is very much ICO that leads to a scam so doing research on the ICO project is the most important factor.

If you asked such a question, then probably you do not need to start your ICO. Well, in any case, you need a team of professionals. I think that you can even hire the team Menlo.one. But let's see how they will conduct their own ICO.

Hi there,

There are companies and platforms that help you to start an ICO. I would not name any here since it was not near my interest area anytime. Try to search here and google maybe.

Kind regards,
I'd rather pay attention to the bitcointalk information, because there is enough required information here. But in no case will Google search engine not be used, because there are enough fraudulent projects there.

This topic is really good I must say and it is actually pointing to a direction that needs proper consideration. In my own opinion though, I still prefer projects undergoing icos as this still tend to reinforce the importance of decentralisation as regards the possibility that anything can be decentralised in as much it is acceptable and tangible in its services

I don't think it's a good idea right now, as ICOS appear every day, but due to the large number of scams and other factors, the credibility of the ICO is gradually disappearing.

I think you should start by creating a whitepaper and develop it with the help of professional editors and advisers. You can also offer these advisers to join your team if that makes you more credible or capable. Then you should focus on the legal questions that may arise and the development of the website. To build your team try searching LinkedIn based on your needs and connect with them Skype to make formal offer.

I have 2 questions if you don’t mind

#1 is it important for team members to have a LinkedIn account? For credibility and trust

#2 should be the person in charge of writing the white paper a marketer or an editor?

Starting an ICO is a real serious business. But I assume you should go in a proper way such deciding suitable ICO for you, creating a product first then token, getting a legal opinion from experienced, writing a white paper and creating community and rumor which will help you to achieve attention, getting your token out to exchange at last.

Do you think is it a good idea to hire somebody experienced to write the white paper?

best way to start ICO would be after you prepare everything you need and whats left is to raise funds on that project so you can start to develop it. if possible make a running project first to have a higher chance for it to succeed but it still depends on the project.

I think creating demand and usability is the first and to do that you have to research about market demand. Then you can think about services and the community beside these a good team is so much important for a successful ICO.

It's very important to understand if your project has potential customers for sure.
I agree that should be the first step.

Explore the top ICO listing sites, track projects, and find out which blockchain development companies stand behind them. Then make use of global freelancing platforms. Upwork, formerly Elance-oDesk etc. Choose your team from them.

From my point of view to start a new ICO you have to follow some rules. To run smooth operation you have to analyze the running ICO. You have take some steps for like creating white paper, build a team, preparing website, security system, contract outside develop to develop and finally announce and briefly describe about

From my point of view if you want to start your own ICO you have to take some step. First of all analyze the other ICO. Secondly creating a white paper than build your team, after that resolving the legal question and some other process finally you announce about tour ICO.

it's not easy to just start an ICO nor it's very hard . firstly, start by gathering a professional team with some good developers to turn your "idea" into something real , then you should develop MVP before thinking about doing any marketing as by doing that you add some creditability to the project and some tranquility to the investors . lastly, start making your marketing plan to get people know about your project .
p.s: you will need some good capital to do this.

Yes I agree with you, I think develop a MVP it's very important, I don't think ICO without it can really work.
Marketing is very important too.

For me, you should first identify some problems of the community, then think about the solution of it. You need to brainstorm lot of ideas if you want to start a project and probably you need a team for that, also you need programmers to do the flow of your ICO something like how it works.

Agree, identify a problem and give a solution  Grin

you can see the white paper and so now it is stout people who invest in ICO but there are many people who invest in ICO but do not get profit then if you want to start ICO you have to be careful and see white paper and a team of workers

Hi everybody, I'm might be a fool, but to me what is important about cryptocurrency, blockchain etc is not to make a financial speculation but more about revolutionizing things that for decades have been corrupted or maybe not possible because possible government shout down.

With that being said, if somebody has a good idea that can be decentralized and crypto friendly, what would be the best way to start a project?

In order to get an ICO started it's ideal to get people involved in the project team, is there a source where is possible to share an idea and maybe get an ICO started?

Your question is very good, unfortunately I do not have any merit yet. I also have thoughts like you, how to start an ICO project. Maybe a lot of experts here and I have to learn from small things.

The best way to start an ICO is to make sure the project comes with an idea which is in demand or can solve a pressing need for mankind. With that you can be sure to attract the attention of great investors. Secondly, the forum is the best place to create more awareness through the creation of ANN threads and Bounty threads.

Yes you need the people to participate but you will have to start it. You have said nothing of what project it is.
I read your other replies and you are just saying it is unique.
I know you dont want to tell it yet for it not to be copied.

Make a whitepaper then, without it we will have no idea on which branch we should point you out.
We are all mere guessing here without accurate answers.

There’s so much you need, an excellent team and an idea that is both simple and requires blockchain to fulfil it. If you don’t have both of these your ICO will (almost) certainly fail
it seems that the author of the topic wants to try to create his ico company and earn a good amount of money. There are a lot of competitors among such projects.

I think that the most important thing is to create a product, or at least a prototype, and only then to collect money. The market is full of projects that have only a "good idea", but few projects that bring real value. If you want to start, build a team, develop a product and then ask for money to improve it.

I agree with you to have a prototype of the platform is very important, I think it can increase a lot the chance to actually have a successful ICO.

An idea it’s just an idea but if you show to people how your idea can be applied it’s a different story.

Start with developing the beta of the product you will be using, Like a platform or an app to begin with the introduction of your project then start a bounty of airdrop together with some sales and ICO.

ICO is a form of raising capital based on the platform Crypto-currency (crypto currency) in the form of sale code key (Token key) and purchasing the Token on is usually by BitCoin or Ethereum (usually purchased by ETH). Choosing a ICO find feature is extremely important, and this step also affect the entire fund investment of you. A number of steps to you can find is a ICO the potential for investment.
1. Find ICO.
2. Find information about ICO
3. Track ICO.
4. Prepare the money.
5. Start to buy.
6. Waiting for the day onto the floor.

Like you rightly said competent and effective team is one of the rudiments of a success ICO but from my own perspective, I think the the uniqueness of the idea behind the project is also quite important not just replicating other ICO's idea and giving it a new name.

Just choose a good project, look for reviews on it. Invest in good projects and do it carefully. The project should be interesting, have good support and it should be a really high-quality project. Such projects are not very many and at the ICO stage they are difficult to find, but there are such projects. It is important to simply choose the really best ones

I would build a solid team along with a whitepaper, website and marketing materials.  I would then have a bounty and a small airdrop to introduce my project and to get people excited.  I would then attempt the ICO once you gained traction with a great community.

Is it really an airdrop a good option? Not sure to be fair.

Th #1 to make a good successful ICO is to make the Dev(s) team ready, a working product already & if not a prototype good enough.

Nowadays, most IC try o launch with a prototype or a working product already cuz that's what make it attractive to serious investors, people are sick of throwing their money into thin air hoping the team will deliver lol.

I know this project & i'm dead sure if they start their pre-sale right now everything will b sold even without a working product, but hey they delayed that to month to come just to make sure they have a 100% fully operational product which is huge  in these day ICO with working product .

So do you think a prototype might not be enough for investors?
You say people want a fully working platform?

Not every ICO should be similar. The content of the project should be different. It became very similar to the same projects. New markers important for the cost of the hotel market. there are such good projects and teams. They're hard to find, but you need to do research. ICO not all have value. I have an ICO that I follow. The name XRT. I think it will be successful

Probably the best way to start the ICO will be the tons of studies and researchs, or I can say you must ask for an advice from those who are successfully already started one of those. It would be not the worst idea.

A marketing team yes.

In addition to marketing and development teams, an ICO should also have potential future products, such as products on health, energy, finance, and more. And then this will be a consideration for investors to participate in the project. In fact, ICO will succeed if token sales reach hard cap. This is just an ordinary suggestion from me.

Thanks! what do you think is a good number of tokens? It's not easy to make an actual estimate about how many tokens people will buy from the ICO.

If you want to start an ICO,you need unique idea, better development team and enough fund to promote your project initially.Even if you have good idea and team many times the project failed because of not much exposure about that project so promotion is on of the important think if you want your ICO to be successful.

What are the best channels to promote an ICO in your option?

If you want to start an ICO,you need unique idea, better development team and enough fund to promote your project initially.Even if you have good idea and team many times the project failed because of not much exposure about that project so promotion is on of the important think if you want your ICO to be successful.

First of all go through their whitepaper and then check either the team doing that what they were said in their whitepaper.
If the project seems good with a great team then gO ahead and join.

If you have a team then start researching about your service or product. I think then you may have to create a whitepaper and prepare your team for the upcoming stages.

you're serious. because this is not a way to start a project. how to create a theme and ask how to start an ico is really very lame. you should look for more and get information from more accurate places if you are really serious.

ICO is a place where they offers you coins and token like bitcoin etherum these all , it also support to promote those coins which are facing legal issues so I don't thing the investors should worry about this fact so much it nothing to do with the investment and price rate

Not every ICO should be similar. Project content should be different. It started to be much so the same projects. New tokens are important for the value of the market. there are so good projects and teams. It's hard to find them but you need to do research. ICOs do not all have value. I have an ICO that I follow now. Name XRT. I think it will be successful.

I respect your opinion, I did many research but I was trying to get opinion from different people that are involved with that.
Sorry if that bothers you.

Well you have the best possible place right in your finger tips, which is this forum. You have have to create a ANN thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0.

We also have a Project specific thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0. Perhaps you can also post your questions in there. If you have that idea that can "revolutionize" as you have said then it will really attract people and investors on your ICO, no doubt. Goodluck to you and hope that your project takes off.

To build a good ICO you have to ensure certain things. Like an attractive whitepaper, skilled and trusted team, ensuring security, etc. Then you can hire other members like smart contract developers.

My best friend thinks the best way to start an ICO is to not start it, and I totally agree with her. There are already too many ICOs in the market and a lot of them are a replica of another, so instead of creating a new ICO, why not support an existing one that has almost the same project with the one you are trying to put in place.
What if your business idea is unique?
