The simplest way I can think of this is saying that the bull run is the gaining time and the bear run is the losing time. So a bull run means a time where a cryptocurrency (like Bitcoin), or even altcoins are appreciating in their price again. And the bear run would be the exact opposite. So if you want to invest, you’d want to buy when it’s going down and sell in the bull run (which is what people are doing).
Great analogy  but a bull market is simply a period wherein most of the crypto market prices are in an uprise movement simply because many people are buying. Interest means demand, if something is being anticipated to generate profit then it could trigger such thing in this industry. FOMO could result to a sudden and a bit continuous price increase. Manipulation could result to a short term increase. While in bullmarket, it could be for months or for a year, the market prices are breaking 'ceilings' or previous market price "high".

The event could be news related, adoption by many companies, progressive development in this industry or anything that could create a 'hype' for this industry. It is something which will sound or actually be good for blockchain technology in parricular with crypto space.

One good example is Bitcoin halving. Its previous occurence resulted to increase in demand and volume to this industry in general. Now that it is again being anticipated, many investors are accumulating. The act of buying creates a tide pushing other people to also do so and so forth.

I am new here few days ago I read post about bull market here.  And I read everyone's replies and understood a lot and didn't fully understand.  Tell me exactly what is the matter?

You read and understood everything, why the question again? That means you didn't understand everything you have read, you probably skimmed all through.

Bull market us triggered by Bitcoin halving and it's an event when Bitcoin subsidy is half, this means that the revenue that miners do to make Bitcoin along side with the fees is going to be reduce by 2, so to compensate them for their effort and security provided to Bitcoin network, people usually rush to buy bitcoin because the less supply will be available and that means the demand will be high and the price will increased, that's how bullrun start and usually make people to FOMO, the fear of missing out buying Bitcoin.

What you should know is that bullrun has happened every 4 years because halving is designed in Bitcoin to happen every 4 years but bullrun don't happen immediately, it might enter the second year after the halvbefore Bitcoin do attain a new time high but just know that nothing is guaranteed as bullrun but we always anticipate for it to happen, so but bitcoin and hold.

The terms bull market and bear market were coined in respect to the animals in their names. Typically associated with the animals’ mode of attack, these terms describe market movement.

A bull thrusts its horns upwards hence bull run indicates an upward trend. Cryptocurrency runs in cycle and there would be periods of time where the overall crypto market might be experiencing a bull run or an increase in market activities. During this time, prices are high and coins are in demand. It is essential that an investor identifies signs of a bull run so he can buy right before it starts.

In contrary, a bear run indicates a downward trend. The name was formed because bears usually tries to attack by swinging their paws into their opponent. As you can probably guess by now, a bear run is a period where prices are low and investors are losing trust. However a bear run might be the best time to buy coins so that when the bull run comes in again, you gain profit.

The main reason why for Bitcoin Bull Run in the cryptocurrency market as s a function of Bitcoin halving that normally occur every four years, with that normally bring scarcity of Bitcoin in the cryptocurrency market as a result of high demand with a little supply in the cryptocurrency market.

The Halving now will not impact bitcoin's supply as much, as we already have almost all of them on the market, but this narrative has always (until now) worked very well to define bitcoin's cycles, although I still think we will have an ATH before April, which would be unprecedented until now for BTC.

You've heard about the crypto market – prices going up, prices going down, everyone talking about halving and making mad profits. The market moves in cycles, kinda like your mood – sometimes bullish , sometimes bearish , and sometimes just chilling in the accumulation zone.

The upcoming Bitcoin halving, where new coins get cut in half every four years, has some folks hyped for a bull run. But hold up, partner! Predicting the future is like trying to guess what your cat's thinking – impossible.

Don't just jump on the bandwagon because everyone's saying "bull market!" Do your own research, like a crypto detective. Look into different coins, understand the tech behind them, and remember, there's no guaranteed money machine in this game.

I think we may declare a market to be in a bull market when there is a notable and positive rise in the price of bitcoin, which frequently leads to strong confidence among investors and rising demand. To put it briefly, some investors think that the price will climb more, so they increase their investment. Consider the case where demand increases when the price of bitcoin rises, given that many investors are naturally interested in making an investment. Even though I purchased bitcoin at a lower price, of course I was thrilled to discover that the amount that I invested had grown significantly and that I had made money.

Bitcoin bull market where the price of Bitcoin will be high and the demand will also be high. For example, if we consider the current period as an example of a bull market, when the price is higher than and people demand more than this, we will consider that period as a Bitcoin bull market. And since the bull market will start a few months after the halving, we will understand for ourselves what is a Bitcoin bull market?

A bull market is a market where assets are rising in value. Conversely, when assets are falling in value, such a market is called a bear market. The term "bullish" comes from the analogy that a bull beats its horns from the bottom up, and the term "bearish" comes from the analogy that a bear beats its paw from the top down.

I believe this explains better than many including myself would try to do, but nonetheless I would try use my own term from my own perspective to say what I have.

Supposing I have been accumulating some BTC for more than five years by using the DCA strategy of investment, it would be normal and required that I follow up on the latest updates and happenings in the crypto currency world to stay abreast with the market seasons of which prices rise or fall and get to an ATH. Such seasons may be occasioned by whale investors movements or market speculation, but it is the Bitcoin trader, Bitcoin enthusiast or those who trade forex that would clearly understand the market situation.

We thankGod though for the innovation of bots that help traders make good profit from trading cryptocurrency these days, and now, it would be left for the halving event as one of the major events to happen for Bitcoin to enter the bull season again and get to an ATH than before.

Those like myself in the analogy, who have accumulated much BTC for like five years, can now sell and take profit or sell some more, take profit, buy more btc and diversify the rest of my asset portfolio as part of an investment for the future.

I would like to give you brief information about the bull period not only for the cryptocurrency markets but for all financial markets. It is possible to understand that it is a bull period for a financial product or financial markets in general by the supply-demand balance and the fear index. If there is a lot of demand and buyers for a financial product, we can comment that it is a bull period for that financial product or market. In other words, a bull period occurs when there are more buyers than sellers and many individuals fearlessly flow money into those financial assets or markets. Today, it is possible to say that there is a bullish period for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as the demand for many cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin is quite high, buyers are more than sellers and money inflow is quite high.

It is quite simple to make money from a financial product or markets during the bull period because many individuals provide cash flow to these financial products or markets. Accordingly, due to excess demand there is an appreciation in markets and financial products. The important thing here is to buy knowing that the bull period will not last forever and to profit from optimistic market conditions in the most efficient way.

Search the internet by entering the keyword what is a bullish market, then all the sites that discuss it will provide the desired explanation.
Like the picture below.

Bullish is a market that increases all the prices of coins in the crypto space. The increase in question goes beyond the previously held price.

In fact, a bull market is a period when the price of Bitcoin moves upwards, i.e. when the value of Bitcoin increases a lot. As bulls are strong and bulls can run very fast, like this the value of bitcoins increases very quickly when it up start. Hence, this event of rising bitcoin price is called a bull market. I hope you understand.

This year there will be a halving which can make the market effect bullish as well as the influence of several other things which will make Bitcoin prices continue to increase so that the market starts to look green like bullish in general. So you don't need to feel afraid or anything other than just feeling happy when you have heard about this from many people, because you can also put yourself into a very good opportunity this year by owning Bitcoin in this bullish condition.

So, before this thread gets locked like others suggested I'll give my own thoughts about bull run. Been here in BitcoinTalk for almost 8 years now but I still don't fully understand what a bullrun is. So for me for what I understand is that bullrun is like when the price of Bitcoin keeps going higher and higher for a while and making people happy because they might make more money if they own Bitcoin..

Time to lock the thread as answers will be repeated.

Btw, welcome to bitcointalk.  Smiley
You are right, answered will definitely be repeated over and over again as long as this thread remains open, and op was online at the early hours of today, but then, I doubt he will know how to lock a thread since he is completely new here, I guess we will either have to let the conversation flow, until users are tired of commenting here, or see nothing else to contribute, or we mass report the thread so the moderators can lock it themselves.

Anyways, I will also add that not very many people easily remember Google search when ever they are on this forum, most especially newbies, who are always at the liberty of asking anything regardless of how noob the question is, atleast, their newbie rank gives them that liberty.
So, I wouldn't blame the op, or fault him or her in any way for not using google to find out what "bull run" is, and also not using the forum search function, clearly I assume he is yet to know how to use the forum search feature.

Bitcoin price is very volatile, the price can fluctuate in different directions be it in the increasing order or decreasing order; it’s increasing order is the bull market while the price decreasing order is referred to as bear market.

Bull market is a market situation where almost all price of crypto coins and tokens are going up, it is the time where most people get profit in crypto market.

You will need to learn extensively about the crypto market or any asset whatsoever before you can use the understanding to fully know what people are saying here. If not, you might just guess most of what you read but it will not land you any where good. Well, in summary, if you are dealing with any asset like Bitcoin, be sure that the asset's price can either go up or down, which traders/investors would call Buy or Sell. The market players often relate the buying and selling to some other names to better denotes it, that's why they call the buying market a bullish market and the selling market a bearish market. And this bullish and bearish are derived from the animals, which are Bulls and Bears, they are such that they relate to the players in the market.

However, those who are associated with the buying of the market are called the Bulls, and the condition of the market at that time could be bullish. While those who are associated with the selling of the market are called the Bears, and the condition of the market could be bearish at that time. So if you hear of the bull market or bull run, then you should know that it is a buying market where the market is appreciating in value. Nevertheless, I still advice you to learn more about the market trading and investment for better understanding.

The definition or meaning of a bullish market describes a market situation that is increasing or strengthening. Market conditions or situations that are in decline are called bearish.
Bullish and bearish terms are popular among market players. Bullish to draw a fortress ready to attack whatever is in front of it.
The current market position can be said to be in a bullish position because prices are experiencing an increase from previously stagnant.
If you come from local Indonesia, you can read the meaning of bullish and bearish here.

A "Bitcoin bull run" refers to a period in the cryptocurrency market where the price of Bitcoin, experiences a significant and sustained increase in value. During a bull run, investor sentiment is generally positive, leading to increased demand for Bitcoin and driving its price higher.  Bull runs can be triggered by various factors such as increased adoption, positive news developments, institutional investment, or changes in market dynamics.

Applying that to Bitcoin, it is the state where the market price, market volume, and market demand are rising and the market sentiment encourages buying.

There is a consent that Bull market is when everyone (majority) is running after Bitcoins for buying and Bear market is when there is not much interest in buying Bitcoins. But the experienced investors do reverse of it aka they sell when market is bullish and buy when market is bearish. Keep this aspect of bear and bull market in your mind if want to get success in Bitcoin market.

A bull market is simply when market sentiment favours price increase of an asset. This is not a crypto exclusive term. It is used in stocks/investing and financial systems to indicate changes in asset price. A bear market is the opposite and often describes periods where the price falls.

An increase in the price of Bitcoin is generally known as a bull market and a decrease in the price of Bitcoin is known as a bear market.
A bull and bear market needs a long time to be a trend. Uptrend and downtrend then we will have a bull or bear market. If the market has only price increase or decrease a few days, it is not a bull or bear market, not enough to conclude about the market. It can be a correction in a bull market so if we call it as a bear market, it's wrong. Oppositely, it can be a dead cat bounce in a bear market, not a bull market because price bounce.

Quote
The Bitcoin market is constantly going up, so we can call this market a bull market. I can see that the market is constantly rising for some time. Now the market position is fifty two thousand dollars. The market has touched its highest price since last few years and the market is still positive. If the market continues to grow the way it has in the last few days, it won't take long to cross its all-time highs.
Obviously now we are in a bull market before a Bitcoin halving. It will soar up a lot when Bitcoin breaks the $69,000 cap and makes its new all time high. Many people who are waiting for a bull run, will take that signal to step in. Massive new capital flow will be in when Bitcoin breaks that strong resistance.

Just like everyone has already mentioned, a bull market is a period in the market where the price keeps surging high. Even as the price keeps going high, it can still fall, but not really very significantly, and it will just rise again. In a different term, the bull market is when most Bitcoin investors sell off their Bitcoin that was bought during the bear market, because in the bull market, they assume to have made a huge profit from their investment.

Bitcoin's bull market usually starts in the year of every bitcoin halving, but the peak of the bull market usually occurs a year after the halving has taken place. The peak bull market will give rise to an all-time high price of bitcoin before the bear market will begin to settle in.

If I explain about bull market then I must assume that the market is good and the period of growth. A bull market is when the market is doing very well and prices are going up a lot. Again, bear market is when the market is dumping a lot and bad conditions are created in the market. During a bear market there is a lot of dumping in the market. If we talk about the current market we can definitely point to the bull market as the market is very bullish now and may generate new ATH very soon.

Anyone related to crypto, Almost everyone is familiar with the bull market. A bull market occurs when there are significant uptrends in price movements and continuous uptrends in price. There would be a dump as well, but compared with the pump, the dump would be too small. However, you need to spend more time on the forum to understand everything related to the bull market and other things related to crypto. Suddenly, you can't understand everything from here. I just try to explain in a simple way.

Hmm, we are welcome to come over here.

But anyway, let's go to the topic of what a bull market is.

In general a Bull market means the Bitcoin price is moved to rise, I mean the time period in which the Bitcoin price is raised due to the high Buyer volume. In simple words we can say that the bull market is a market in which price will rise and asset value will increase more and more with the aspect of profit gaining.

While its reverse phase is called the bear market, in which the price generally falls due to selling volume, It means that the assets drop due to selling pressure and their value decreases, which means they lose value.

Bitcoin market has bear and bull cycle.

In bear market, the price tends to go down.

In bull market, the price goes up and that's why everyone is very excited to see it once again. Usually happens right after the block halving. In this case it will be around after April this year.

A Bull market is when the price of Bitcoin rises, and it gets its name from the attack pattern of a bull, which is to lower its head before immediately going up. Conversely, a Bear market is when the market price is going down and gets its name from the attack pattern of a bear, which is to swing its arm from the top and go down.

Bull market is when the price off a coin do an extremely high increase that crosses above 2x to 10x of its price and also attains a new price high that has not been recorded before in the history of the coin.
We have to make it clear that not only Bitcoin does an all-time high or a bull market movement, but all other coins do the same movement at some point in time, so we have two types of market movement.
1 bull market, this is when the price of the coin moves in a speedy rapid movement upward.
2 we have a bear market and this kind of market condition is the opposite of what the bull market and this is when the price of Bitcoin drops significantly down in a short period.

Market volatility is mainly coming from two directions. One is a "Bull market" and the other is a "Bear market."
A Bull market refers to a rising market where most investors are buying, demand exceeds supply, market conditions are high and prices are high. And an investor who believes that prices will rise over time is called a "Bull". That is, when prices in a market move rapidly upward, most investors become "Bullish" about rising prices. Simply put, a Bull run or Bull market begins when the market experiences sustained or significant upward growth in the financial markets.
On the other hand, when financial market conditions are down, it is called Bear market.

There are two references which are made to the markets, both the Bitcoin market and other
traditional markets, BULL market and BEAR market.

The general consensus is that a BULL market is a positive outlook and the market prices move
upwards, this can coincide with external or related events, in this case the upcoming Bitcoin
Halving event. There is an air of positivity so the markets move up, the Bulls are aggressive
and are buying.

In contrast to the BULL market is the BEAR market. What do bears do in winter? Hibernate,
which means little or no activity. In terms of the markets they either stagnate or fall back.

Ok, nice to see you want to know and learn something as a newbie. The bull market is an important time for the bitcoin price to move forward.  When financial markets experience rising asset prices, Bitcoin refers to holding stocks in a bull run market. Indicates investor sentiment and expectations of continued growth.
If you want to be more clear, then you can read the bull market articles of the first sites by searching on Google, and the easiest way is to search on YouTube, You will get many videos and watch them, and then you will understand about the bull market.

A Bull Market is a period where prices in assets generally have a sustained upwards price trajectory. A Bear Market is the opposite. Many things can dictate market sentiment such as global events but as tar as cryptocurrency is involved we have long periods when it can be said we are neither in a Bull or Bear Market, we have long Crab Markets which is a light hearted way of saying sideways. For the Bitcoin naysayers, you will soon find out what a Bitcoin Bull Market is.

I am new here few days ago I read post about bull market here.  And I read everyone's replies and understood a lot and didn't fully understand.  Tell me exactly what is the matter?
A bull market means the market is going up or is ready to go up, basically, there are 3 phases in crypto market that are bull, bear, and accumulation. There are many others if we go deep into the mico level but generally, these are the ones mostly used. To understand this you have to understand what is halving and after how much time it occurs. Halving is the period when the supply of some coin is cut to half. And BTC halving is going to happen in a few days (halving count down).

It happens after every four years, so after every four years there comes these phases accordingly, after halving it comes bull, then bear and then accumulation. Now halving is near and that's why people are saying market is bullish and its the time to make some money but that's not for guaranteed also, you have to do your full research before choosing which coin to invest in.

alot of people think any and all ups are bull and all downs are bears.. which makes people confused as to when there is true bull and bear..

this quick doodle may help

dont treat all ups and downs as bulls and bears. call the small fluctuations as something else like cubs and calves.
the bulls and bears are the significant changes leading upto a ATH(bull) and after a ATH(bear)

During a bull run in the Bitcoin market, it is a time when the price of Bitcoin consistently rises due to increased demand, there is a continuous upward movement in the price fueled by the growing interest in Bitcoin. This heightened demand is a result of various factors, including the limited supply of Bitcoin and its volatile nature. With a limited supply and increasing demand, the price of Bitcoin tends to soar, as more people seek to invest in it. This phenomenon creates a cycle where the more people desire Bitcoin, the higher its price climbs.

The financial market moves in waves, what we call a cycle, there are downward cycles in which prices become increasingly lower, that is, there is a market selling more than buying, and a bull market, in which buying demand exceeds sellers, driving prices up.

Generally, to make money in this, the investor needs to wait for the bear market to buy good assets at the lowest possible price... then wait for time to pass and the cycle changes to a bull market, thus selling and making a profit, remember , this movement takes months to happen, it’s not the next day.

A bull market is a market where assets are rising in value. Conversely, when assets are falling in value, such a market is called a bear market. The term "bullish" comes from the analogy that a bull beats its horns from the bottom up, and the term "bearish" comes from the analogy that a bear beats its paw from the top down.
