Western Union itself doesn't charge fees?

Oh yeah. They charge fees. Prices have come down in recent years though.

Often the most expensive part when trading into a digital currency - hard online money - is the cost of transmitting the national currency. The cost of the DGC spend is trivial.

It costs up to $40 to send a bank wire to Gox et al. You can send WU cheaper and faster, up to a point.

Nanaimogold always sells bitcoin for less than Gox.

It's not a platform where you have to wait for another trader to accept your offer, it's a real exchange service. You just make your spend and receive your bitcoin - no waiting for someone else to counterparty.

Payment options are pretty limited... And if I go with Western Union, the fees are so high that the fact that the bitcoin prices are 0,01 cent cheaper hardly matters Tongue

Currently 18 cents less than Gox. Where do you get this "0,01 cent cheaper"? Are you just exaggerating?

What works for another, may not work for you. For most people, WU is the best option.

The more exchangers there are, the more options people have. If you see a solution, consider becoming your own exchanger.

I guess I'll try bitcoin-24 then! Nice that they have clear fee structure now.

Anyone here knows what is the liquidity/spread/volume like?

From their website:
"Use Liqpay to add USD to your account on Bitcoin-24."
I guess it should work, but you better contact them.

@hamdi
Bitstamp looks not bad.
Am i correct assuming they dont charge for SEPA transfers but 0,5% for trading?
Also do you happen to know how good their exchange rate from € to $ is?

So far i found this: https://bitcoin-24.com/fees

1.24€ for deposits/withdrawals and no trading fees sounds pretty sweet.

They also offer instant funding from your bank account or via credit card.
An additional plus is the anonymous withdrawal via parcel.
