The price does not differ from the price of a regular web site. The only changes in the configuration of the gateway for payment, but this can be done separately. It's like with the development of commercial sites. The main principle of development and the team of developers. Even the e-commerce websites itself is not much different in pricing. Why should they differ from ICO?

What is the cost of building an ICO website?

After working with dozens of ICO’s in the last few months at GuerrillaBuzz
I can estimate the average website costs for an ICO from

5000$-20,000$.

https://guerrillabuzz.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/07/main-qimg-487620fe9bfb1ab96aed0567ac660893.png

I actually noticed that many ICO’s have a cheap WordPress template website and talk about changing the world with their idea.

As an ICO, the way you look is extremely important. You don’t have anything yet besides an idea.

If you want people to get your idea fast, you need to have a great design, smart branding, and a great user experience.

Many ICO’s ignore the design, buying a cheap WordPress design and that looks exactly like 9 out of 10 projects out there.

When it comes to the way your website looks, take someone professional, put a lot of thought into the message you want to deliver, and how you want the visitors to remember you.

Advanced design is undoubtedly of great importance for attracting potential investors, but the excessive saturation of the site with different new-fangled "features" is likely to only frighten the client. The main thing for the website-business cards of the project is accessibility and clarity of the main idea, as well as a study for action.

Are you kidding? 5k-20k? The cost of development of website is $500 (simple version), $5000 (good version), and $10 000 (very advanced version)

You don't need to spend a huge amount of your ICO budget on a website but Search Engine Optimisation is of paramount importance.

Keyword-rich content will ultimately make you easier to find.

Try to build it from scratch too instead of a template, you will have higher degree of customization this way.

A few thousand dollars should get you in a good price to quality ratio, even better if you can design or know someone who can for some bounty  Grin

The price is very flexible depending on what exactly do you mean by saying ICO website. If it is about of everything required to run a blockchain based ICO/ITO project, it will definitely cost more than 20k (in case you do not have necessary web and blockchain developers in your team).
You should also bear in mind a need in marketing and operating expenses and possible hidden expenses.

I think that a good website for ICO can be ordered for less than 5000$. Website without advertising will not help enter the top ICO. It is better to invest more money in promotion. For example, buy votes on upvotes.io

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

First decision

With your own custom-made cabinet, you need to spend about half a year and quite a lot of bucks ($100,000, on average) on the development team. But it can give plainly everything that you would like it to.

Second decision

With the majority of existing platforms, you have a limited functionality and lack of marketing tools (more on this below). Instead, you get the solution right here right now spending less money and ensuring a relatively high security level. If you are looking for best mobile app developers to develop e-wallet for your business with all features, 4IRE labs can help you. What the real good price?

Your best bet would fall somewhere in between $10,000 and $50,000 for the base package and about as much for the customization = you get the fully functional base version in under 10 business days. This platform ICOnx, ideally, gives you a full range of tools that you need in order to carefully navigate your USS Crowdfunding and ensure its performance and security. At the same time, an important point of ICO platform is usability. t must be attractive and easy-to-understand for those who you want to cooperate with.

At this step, you can either choose one of the existing platforms or go all the way inventing your own engine. As always, both solutions have their own pros and cons.

Conclusion

With the majority of existing platforms, you have a limited functionality and lack of marketing tools (more on this below). Instead, you get the solution right here right now spending less money and ensuring a relatively high security level.

I'm already developing a new cryptomade, I wrote the white paper, and I'm developing her website, I confess I'm having a hard time finding good team members.
Profissioais to compose the main team.
Most interviewees do not want to receive during the sale of the token, either work and already receive, the creation of a criptomoeda takes a few hours of work, but a large project needs the commitment of a good team.
The amount collected from the sale of tokens is to pay the team and reinvest in improvements and partnerships.

I don`t see anything wrong using wordpress. It is perfect for blogs or websites explaining ICO idea. Wordpress runs 30% of internet, so it can`t be underestimated as a tool for building good website. Statistics here https://www.codeinwp.com/blog/wordpress-statistics/
Also to my opinion - design should be simple, but fully explaining ICO`s idea. For me more informative in term of ICO reliability would be a minimum viable product.

Well what you are saying is not really approrpriate, I have seen some ICO websites with some incredibly good designs. Any fair looking company doing an ICO will try to make their site look attractive to the visitors.

Hi
Let me suggest you the total cost of ICO Site.
One Page Professional Site With Admin and User Panels,  Features:-  KYC Dash Board,White Listing ,Referral Program and Token Management etc. will cost only $4000 /- by any good professional company .

It really depends on the company quoting and the features requested. Any "good" professional company may give different quotes depending on their employees skill levels as well.

I have seen different costs, you can get one for $3k and you can also get one for $50k and they can look the same. If you don't care about the money and won't do your research, then it's easy to over pay for something like that.

the cheapest way to build an ICO website is just to hire freelance. Hire freelancer, build your website and then hire seriously someone who is really PRO in building websites. There are a lot of good developers (freelancers) who can really be very helpful, creative and cheap. You will definitely save money that you can use it in the feature for upgrading the website.
And who would take the website seriously if they don't have competent developers on the team? When investors invest in a company, they surely take the in-house tech team into consideration. It's okay to get the templates but building the fully functional ICO should be left to the in-house developers.

I do not know how much it costs to create a blockchain platform. this is conditioned by the people who create this.

the site itself costs up to 2000-3000 $.

I think it is not a big expense to build a website.
The real cost is to build a blockchain platform.

can you explain the prices with a detailed explanation of each part

The truth about websites- it’s a supply and demand market. Many times the same website could be charged $20,000 to a client who can afford it or $750 to a client that can’t. I’ve owned a digital agency for almost 10 years, so I know how this goes.

And this is a bit of a paradox for the client and for the designer.  The designer generally undervalues themselves because they don’t realize that what they do is extremely unique and needed, and the client generally just wants to save a dollar every step of the way.  And so what happens more times than not, the client drives the cost down and the freelancer agrees because they don’t have enough value in themselves to stand firm on the price, and so the result is uninspired work. The designer begrudgingly takes on a cheap job to pay their bills, and they put no creativity or inspiration into the job simply to get it done and move on to the next, since it’s not worth their time.

And so, if I can give any advice, you get what you pay for.  When it comes to an ICO website, the advantage of a really great website can equal millions of dollars in value. I would say after this long unasked-for analysis, you should probably budget between $2000 and $5000 for your website.  The further up that range you spend the better your ICO website will look and function.

Hope this is helpful!

Chris

That second paragraph pretty much sums it up, and it's been what I've tried to explain to many for a while. Doesn't just apply to designers, but developers, etc..

If you cheap out on your developers/designers,etc giving them bare-minimal, they'll be less motivated.

To create a website and smart contract work also you will find the developer to help you mate. I want to create a website means I will never invest these much amount to the creating website alone.
If you are good at making smart contracts with the ethereum blockchain you will not get the investment this much.
People are not technically much to understand the cost estimation for making website. Please get the good developer and make use of it.

Let's admit that a developped ico website with full foncionalities integrated, would be so expensive (some expect to reach 60.000$). As a consequence, projects plan for a pre-ico stage to collect the necessary funds for the main-ico stage; a website for pre-ico doesn't need to be in a high rate (simple static home page would be enough great) that can be developped by any coder in the team who can also add simple templates(5$+). This is the most known strategy for a start-up aiming to run a successful professional ico. Elements in a pre-ico website are simple to add and don't need a high cost: I would resume them:
- Product Description
- A presentation video
- Description of the pre-ICO
- Roadmap
- Documents: Whitepaper/terms and conditions
- Team profiles
- Parteners
- News in press
- Contacts and official social channels
- Subscription form

Since the website is just a static HTML page with animations, the cost should be low on the coding side but the designing part would be more expensive. Don't compare it with the website with ICO system and full functionalities integrated though. I'm assuming you just wish to know about the fancy landing page and not the entire ICO system. Either way, most of those templates are stolen or copied.

I'm having trouble understanding some things here. I see team members in ICOs and team members have programmers, so why the hell would the ICOs need to pay to have a site if they should have their own programmers as team members? I do not know if I'm asking stupid questions, but it does not make sense that someone who creates an ICO will buy a website or will pay someone to create their site, unless that person is a scammer.

Almost every ico outsources ICO campaigns including web development, marketing, and in most cases community management. Hiring experienced team to handle ICO gives them a better chance for success. Nothing scammy in this.  However I would not want ico I m investing in to spend 20k on website. That's just waste. Anything around 2-3k is acceptable.

Maybe I could see the lower end of that.   Certainly you need a designer that is top notch - but that should be 2-3K, right?  And the person that implements it, you will want to have someone who has solid wordpress skills on staff.  Yes, they would need to be paid for their time, but again, that should be 1-2K, right?   What am I missing that would bring it to the 20K mark?

$1000-2000 is enough for a basic website implementation by a professional. So like a standard ICO site. I've developed things like ICO sites before, it really depends on the amount of pages & features required though.

If special features are required (such as a point system, sharing validation, bounty systems, etc), then it will start to add up.

You get what you paid for. There are a lot of blockchain and ICO offerings out there, but if you chooses the cheapest among them, then you should not be surprised if you get a poor Word Press website. LOL. But I was surprised you quoting the price around that range, is that just for a website alone? I don't think that it will cost that much, in my opinion. Are ICO project willing to pay that for just a website though? I think $1000 website will be enough to attract investors with good design and layout.
