In theory the lowest is 0. In practice I don't think it would ever drop below about $100 even in the worst case scenario. People would still use it and there would still be many who think it could make a revival

Within the next 10 year or so, what is likely to be the absolute bottom from now on?

For what it's worth, the low in the 2014-2015 bear market was $17. If everything goes horribly wrong for bitcoin, it could go as low as that.

But there are formidable supports at $9000, $6000, $4200 and $1000 (which was where were were this time last year).

In which exchange the low was $17 in 2014-2015?

he probably missed a zero there. but the low was $160ish not $170 and when we are talking about possible drops you should consider all the buy supports that there are and also consider what you think of as "horribly wrong". for example is it a bug in bitcoin? then why not go to 0 instead? or is it simply some exchange getting hacked or some FUD about bitcoin ban? in which case the drop is not going to be bigger than last time! it probably won't even go lower than $10k!

Zilch of course.

I could conceive of it hitting $3-4000 sometime this year. Beyond that it's either going to continue growing or fail.

that's my thinking as well. i'm not planning on it---i think the lows might be in at $6000. but i could see $3000-5000 as the final bottom, based on the historic trend and the proportions. it would make a pretty sweet measured move into big support levels from last year.

at the rate of adoption in this space, zero seems less likely every day. i think even a major protocol failure can be overcome, since the network will be so incentivized to adopt a fork that fixes it. we're seeing a technology adoption s-curve right before our eyes with BTC.....i really think this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity.

it can go zero of course but that is not likely.

I like to look at the past though that is not ideal for bitcoin prices.
when we got goxed at $1000 it went down 75% before it climbed away again. If you think as I do that $20,000 was a much inflated price by newbies etc I think a 75% drop is likely ie a price of $5000 before it climbs again. But if keeping bitcoin for some time ie more than 2 years then even paying todays price will be fine.  it will be $20,000 soon enough again and this time solidly and then $40,000 .....

As Satoshi said, in twenty years the volume of transactions in BTC will either be enormous or nothing. I don't see any middle ground either.

The absolute bottom is theoretically 0. It is almost impossible it would go negative though.

That said, I wouldn't care about absolute bottoms when talking about high risk investments. Better ask yourself what is the absolute "ceiling" and the probabilities of each.

As I've said before, bitcoin can not 'go' as low as that, say $ 5000. Because as you make this post, many people especially Lovers or Bitcoin Users, grow its awareness, to hold bitcoin (bitcoin users vs. big whales).

Within the next 10 year or so, what is likely to be the absolute bottom from now on?

I doubt it, will bitcoin survive for the next 10 years?

bitcoin is now very low in the market. and may be less than 0.6 below in the future. what if kung eto namn ay tumaas? higher than in the previous 2017 reached 19 market value. the cypto will not tell you how to decrease or increase. but we are more happy if he will increase.

I think it might go down to 8000$ and then went back to the high rates again.

Now the nearest support levels are between $ 7000-9200. I doubt that bitcoin will pierce them. Most likely, a stronger correction will be after the capitalization of the Crypto currency has reached $ 1 trillion. And now it's just a very good time to buy crypto currency.

I think now Bitcoin will go till 8000$ so far. And then it will again go up to 15000$ within 1month. I'm not sure about this prediction I can be wrong.
