Deribit is the best, the biggest and the cheapest.

It is difficult for me to understand what your conclusion is based on, because according to the https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/derivatives/ rating, the volume of trading on Deribit is only 15% of the volume of trading on the Binance exchange. The only true thing is that Maker Fees on Deribit is 0%, but Taker Fees are higher than Binance.

Hello,

I'm looking for a reputable exchange that offers BTC futures with good volume on quarterly/delivery contracts

I currently use bitmex but their delivery contract volume is so low - its highest per 24h is 3-4M$

I'm aware of binance and okex they seem to have good products with high volumes but would like to know if there are more out there?

Thanks

Deribit is the best, the biggest and the cheapest.

Yeah Bitmex really lost its market share after the CEO Arthur Hayes stepped down. It was the largest perp exchange back in 2017-2019. Pretty much everyone used it. But due to regulations they had to start KYC and everybody left.

Now volume is awful. Remeber their spot BTC pair last week or two. Someone dumped large amounts of spot bitcoins and caused huge wicks. Horrible liquidity right now.

I have not used Binance before, but it seems to be a trusted exchange used by many people for their future trading. I don't use it for future trading for no serious reason, but the exchange I prefer using all the time while trading futures is Digifinex, and currently I have a BTC/USDT pair running on 3x leverage for me on that exchange. I have been on that trade for a week and some days now and am already profiting from my position. Just use the above link provided in the first comment to get more exchanges and their ranking.

There is only one reason to refuse to trade on the Binance when trading on this exchange is prohibited. For everyone else, this exchange remains the largest in terms of volume and reliability among other cryptocurrency exchanges.

I also am in this favor. Not only that, Binance is much more secured on other exchanges. The transactions are way better and there are more products and other types of transactions you can make. At time being, you can also hold nft, do futures or options trading, p2p with added security, earn as form of investment. I am not endorsing but only giving my experience with the exchange. There is also no problem for me on putting orders, closing positions, and cancelling ones.

I can only mention Binance Exchange as the safest BTC futures exchange with good trading volume. Because there is a lot of volume for futures trading platform. I can't talk about unique exchanges because I don't know much about other exchanges I've used Binance Exchange for trading that's why I'm referring directly to Binance Exchange. While futures trading on unique exchanges may reward you a lot, trading on the Binance Exchange futures trading platform may not reward you much. Actually I am not involved with future trading platform that way I am well involved with spot trading platform that's why I can't say much about future trading platform.

You can search the list of the exchange through here https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/derivatives or here https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/derivatives/

from that list i already tried

  • Binance
  • Bybit
  • Bitget
  • OKX
  • BingX

Tho i dont new people to trade with leverage but thoose exchange are the most well known in futures community 5 of them had top volume so its liquid and then had more than 200 pair most of them is sit at 300~pair so you can buy and sell contract almost any token in top 300 by marketcap

Although, the bitmex is only at half a billion dollars but that's still a big volume in my opinion. So your only choice is binance or mexc its up to you op.
It's not "only".

Actually, that's already big and bitmex has been known there mostly first before any others. But with some issues that have found in the past, that's how they've started to drop in volume.

Anyway, it's still a good one if ever someone like OP will put futures money that ain't much.

Bitmex was good I use it but their trading volume sucks not only because of regulations but also they are not improving anything on their platform- they keep adding shitcoins to trade futures thinking it will bring revenue rather than focusing on UX friendly design.
BitMEX does not upgrade their UI/ UX too often but if you only want to trade Bitcoin in futures perpertual, trading volume on BitMEX is good enough.

You must be a whale with very big trading capital to feel trading volume on BitMEX is not enough for your position to open and close.

That exchange has one dangerous thing you must know.

Bitcoin Flash Crashed to $8.9K on BitMEX. This crash on BitMEX happened three weeks ago and you must be careful with Futures trading on it because of liquidation risk.

Livecasino, 20% cashback, no fuss payouts.
Someone told me about a new type of exchange, I downloaded and yet to try it out because it asks for KYC but if I understand correct this is a on chain settlement off chain matching, which looks pretty cool for people who want to trade Bitcoin directly for non Bitcoin.

Not sure about futures until I log in, but the volume problem means you're already got all your answers here Smiley

My bet is Binance followed by Bybit.

You can not trust exchanges but you can use metrics, ranks from big sites like Coinmarketcap, Coingecko and find Exchanges with Derivative products like Futures trading. Biggest exchanges can scam too like FTX exchange so with your money, you must be careful.

Futures trading is more risky than Spot trading and it is best for your capital if you don't trade Futures.

By the way, this point can be used to fight against Gary Gensler because it is not logic that SEC. approved Bitcoin Futures ETFs, Ethereum Futures ETFs but they said Bitcoin Spot ETFs are risky for investors. After approving Bitcoin Spot ETFs under pressure, they are repeating same tone of illogical statement on Ethereum Spot ETFs.

Why don't you try Mexc https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/mexc_futures though I know if there are other exchanges out there that are more than this but the volume it has is not bad. Now, your country is not restricted to Binance, it's better to try to use Binance.

maybe you could try binance futures. as far as i know, binance is a reputable exchange that has a good security system and is used by many people globally. they also have a lot of users and it should be able to give you the experience you want. the deposit system there is also easy and there is a copy trade feature available if you need it.

I think the easiest way to find these exchanges is to go to CoinMarketCap. Go to the exchange section, and you will see a list of the major exchanges that you need. And I believe Binance is still the top choice for your needs right now.

Binance is one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges worldwide and has gained significant popularity. I like Binance and it is very safe. But it is always a good practice to conduct thorough research and due diligence before using any exchange. Keep in mind that the cryptocurrency market is highly volatile, and there are risks associated with trading and storing cryptocurrency on any platform. Staying updated with user experience can provide valuable insight into the current state of any exchange.

Binance, Bybit seems to be the most common ones that I have used but I don't get there at most times as I don't like to trade futures myself. So, since you've got some list already OP. I just want to remind you that be careful in trading futures and it seems that you're already knowledgeable with and don't get yourself compromised with the market and the potential profit that you'll be there. But again, as long as you know what you're doing then you're good already and you won't get into futures if you've got no idea with it.

Personally, although I do not trade futures, I advise you to use Binance and OKX, as they are the best in my opinion.

I use OKX, but I think Binance is the best. I expect that what you find there you will not find on another platform.
The most important thing you need is good leverage and good trading volume, so I do not advise you to look for exchanges that are not very well known and may be unreliable as they will not offer you anything additional to what Binance and OKX offer.

Maybe you can always check Coinmarketcap to see many exchanges you can use to trade future and try your luck.
We have good exchanges like Binance, Bybit, Kucoin, OKX etc that can enable you to trade with less tax and free.
Please make sure you do the necessary research because most of these exchanges are limited in some regions so it's good you try and know where they are limited so you don't get restricted later after you fund your account. There are centralized exchanges.
He can use Coinmarketcap but I will prefer Coingecko which has been listed up because Binance has already bought Coinmarketcap years ago and he will use that to favour itself as the best exchanges and superior to other exchanges but which is not true. There are many other exchanges just like the ones that you mentioned like Bybit and OKX.

Thank you for your reply.

I will try Bybit, Bitget and Deribit  as these I never used before.

Why quarterly/delivery contracts in particular? What advantage do they have over perpetual contracts that are offered by most of the crypto exchanges?
Anyway try checking out Binance, OKX, Kucoin and Bybit if you are not from a restricted country. Bitmex was OK back then, but their trading volumes started to plummet when regulators started putting a lot of pressure on them.

Hello, Sorry for late reply beeen traveling and I only use this fourm on my workstation.

the reason why I prefer delivery contracts is because I simply do not pay any funding fees for my swing positions and its really worth it when you have a large position that you would like to keep open for days/weeks.

Bitmex was good I use it but their trading volume sucks not only because of regulations but also they are not improving anything on their platform- they keep adding shitcoins to trade futures thinking it will bring revenue rather than focusing on UX friendly design.

From Coinmarketcap or Coingecko, you will find top exchanges, need Futures, you can choose Derivatives and see their lost of top exchanges.
He seems to be mostly focusing on quarterly/delivery contracts and not just derivatives that are general, and the most popular ones in the crypto space are perpetual swaps. I have taken time to look at for example the Bitcoin quarterly futures contracts on exchanges where we think volumes are high, but the liquidity doesn't seem good there at all. Which is why I asked OP why he prefers those kinds of contract over perpetual swaps.

Trading with Futures Perpeptual Contract is very headache because of many things.

Market is unpredictable about its future.
Trading Futures will cost you more in trading fees, Funding fees.
It has bigger risk that you will lose money by liquidations.

From Coinmarketcap or Coingecko, you will find top exchanges, need Futures, you can choose Derivatives and see their lost of top exchanges.

Picking top exchanges, you will have biggest trading volume and best secured exchanges for trading. But it won't help you to avoid price volatility.

In that regard, you can try https://www.fairdesk.com/ or https://www.mexc.com depending on what you want from what I mentioned. Now to make you feel more comfortable, research first to find out if it is true that there is good help that can be given to you op.

What I know is that there are other platforms out there that you can use besides the one I mentioned, it's better that you yourself can discover mine is just one option that you can choose about futures trading.

You can go through the lists of exchanges with future trading on Coingecko with their trust scores, this will be helpful to see some other exchanges

https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/derivatives

I do not like BitMex. It has high fee and low pairs. Although some traders may count the other pairs as shit coins but it matters to many other traders. I do not like the high withdrawal fee also.
