indeed lately very much ico that failed, but for me there are still some profitable ICO, you just need to do a good research before you make an investment. They are in a hurry to sell their coins. Perhaps this is what distinguishes success from the unsuccessful, but it brings us a lot of investment experience.

I invested in a ratio between 15-25% of some ICO projects that I follow, if I am more diligent and patient in the long term I think will get an income ratio of ICO more than usual.

despite everything, there are still ICOs taking place all over and still a pile of threads about new ones every day.

i would like to hear from people who've already put money into ICOs and whether it turned out to be a great decision or a disaster. i'm not interested in your future price projections, i wanna hear about what happens to your money if you sell today.

let's get an impression of the success ratio here.
Well, I have not invested in many ICO but I joined bounty campaigns of those ICO which seem promising to me and the success rate is pretty high. I also have invested in a few ico like waves, lisk, decent and crypterium. And only crypterium was the one which disappointed me. So it's been a good experience for me to invest in ICO and I will continue to invest in ICO, but as the trend is going right now, it is very beneficial to buy ICO tokens right after they hit the market as they are dumped at that time.

I didnt invest to any ICO as i am a bounty hunter, but to what i have participated most of these new projects are scams which is why we shouldnt be expecting these ICOs to give us good results, not all the ICOs are scams but most of these new projects are worthless  which is why most of the ICOs nowadays arent achieving success.

Success rate? nah, theres smaller chances of getting profits nowdays with these ICOs as most of these new projects are scams, created just to raise funds and then eventually going to run away as these developers are going to have millions in their pockets, which is why we should be researching very well so that we wont get bad results with our investments.

I participated in 2 projects about a two month ago. One holds a price higher than ICO by 50%. Even though I participated in ICO when the etherium was even higher than $ 1000. That is, the indicator is very good. The second one was heavily rocked, but now it has leveled off with the price of ICO, and I think in the near future it is not threatened with a drop in price.
Indeed each ico is not the same sometimes we also still often have things that we cannot guess, ico we follow the koinnnya value turns out great, sometimes there are also very small so hung with price

I have started investing in ICO's at the beggining of the year, and untill now i have double the money that i've invested. So ICO's are still profitable, you just need to make good research before you make the investment.
totally agree if we were to invest we must also think about whether it's true if it's a good and promising project and the problem will be where we should also know his address was also important

If I sell today I will receive an average of  10x of my initial investment which is already withdrawn and only profit is been kept and moved to create longterm wealth.

I think this is very subjective topic, for me I look for 5x return, this is my average rate for success. The space is getting crowded with so many scams and good for nothing idea, so to pick winners is getting difficult, unlike before when projects one see in the space have real people that are interested in building something good and not scam projects

I am a investor and my success ratio of ICO investment is 90% plus because its just a game of patience. if you have patience then you can earn as much as you can in ICO Investments.

there is always a 50/50 percent in an ICO.
not just scam some of ICO well down on price after ICO.
some of them just run away and some are really scam.
but what is important is to make ressearch and study before joining.
the 50% of it can give you more than 10x profit.

I invested in ICO WAX in October, in January there was an increase of 2000% with the investment. But I sold it later, so I made 1000% in 3.5 months. It is hard to guess which project will give a big increase, so I invested in several different ICO, the PKT did not give a big increase, about -50% but the profit from WAX buys this loss.

I have made two investments. One on Lympo, the other into Envion.

Envion is around 0,6x right now, but if they really show their product, and start to pay dividents, I believe my investment will be profitable.
Lympo is around double the price I paid for, so I can be really happy overall. And Lympo showed me that ICOs can be profitable even through the bearish market.

You have to look at the project, the team, etc. do research on the ICO. Something I did not do on Envion, but I did on Lympo, and it shows on the returns.
People say 70% of ICOs are scams - but most of the times, it shows. Their product is simply not good enough, or the company is build on a bad idea. It is up to you to filter them, and to be honest, its not that extremely hard.

I invested recklessly in approx. 15 projects during the bull run. 70% of them failed to provide a good return and that's basically poor judgement by me. 30% of ICO's I participated will/are doing great which helped me to recoup my investment. I will end up having more $ than what I invested so I am not worried but I am glad that I have the experience to better judge upcoming projects.

Investing in icos is a grate risk.. Which I don't advice users in doing... Patiently wait for the coin to be listed...and buy from the dip... Some ico's are death trap

i very much agree with you, but it seems like not enough people do. i've never put money into an ICO and never would. if it's good enough there's still money to be made when it launches.

you do of course miss out on some potentially giant gains, but also the complete losses. there must be enough out there that have done very well for people. i'd like to hear more about it and perhaps we'll glean more info about identifying successes. but even if i was armed with more info i still don't think i could bring myself to do it.

I have invested on 2 ICO, but so far I'm disappointed with the price and the return is not what I'm expected it to be currently. But since this bitcoin bull run, I'm seeing one of them gaining steam as well and I'm about break even on the other one but still a look way to go but I'm cool with that.

I believed in the project and I'm sure that it will explode in the next coming months when the devs finally got it going so again, I'm not too worried about selling it today, but would rather hold on it longer term. So right now, I would say I'm still on the negative with my money. But just like what they say, invest what you can afford to lose so I'm still OK.

For me, any project that brought me profit has already been successful. I participated in several ICOs that were failing, but it brought me a lot of investment experience. Now I invest only in reliable projects.

I would say i always ended on plus, it was just a matter of a waiting game. Sometimes it was quick and sometimes it took even a year.
Overall i am pleased with ico investing outcomes, even though i dont invest often

Out of 2, I failed on both of them. I got by the hype and didn't took my time thoroughly researching with the project. I got my lessons and I hope i'll get the right one my next ICO investment.

I'm not really directly answering you questions.  However, from my experience in ANY ASSET CLASS.  You always have to look at a market as a whole and it is no difference in the crypto world.

It would be much easier to profit from an ICO investment if the entire market is bullish.  That is just how those things work.  When the market is bullish and people are jumping into the  market, more money would be pouring in and thus, the price of coins would go up.

So best take-away is that other than investing in an individual project and trying to know the fundamentals of any individual project, make sure that you invest in an ICO when the market is in UPTREND.

not necessarily. some ICOs launched when things were quiet and the biggest of all, ETH, launched in the middle of cryptogeddon. i'd be more inclined to trust an ICO that wasn't rushing to market to capitalise on a generalised pump which is what most of them did.

Honestly,% of successful ICO has recently dropped very much and I think it touched everyone. after December, January, when each project shot at the moon, it was possible to invest in any incomprehensible thing, but after the market was painted in red,% was 50 to 50

Even 10% profit is a success for me, but I always want big success, after getting that big success I want bigger one. I think we should be very into the project before investing otherwise you will very likely to sell at loss or sell before it moons.
