I don't see this as a worth believing but its more on Advertising towards those mentioned coins in the awards list because CMC and Binance are once if not continued being questioned of listing even scam projects so having a list(though all of those are popular and legit projects) is even helping people to find which to invest because we knew that the ranking are not permanent and will change anytime like what happened in some popular one that turns scams even recently.

This award represents the performance of those cryptos in various categories. This doesn't show their potential in the long run but it shows how they performed previously. Also this data is somewhat valuable to those who wanted to know which sector making most of the money or which sector got most of the user adoption for now. This is just from CMC and i think you will find similar type of blog post published by some other crypto related platform as well who shows their own insight about the market.

The list you gave shows why most of those awards are nothing but a joke, since very quickly the reason to be of those awards is lost and a lot of influence is exercised for those which do not deserve the award to win, not that it surprises me as we have been seeing this trend on many other award ceremonies, which is the reason they are losing more audience as people can tell the best movies, songs, artists and in this case cryptocurrencies are not the ones to get the win.

I stopped after reading cryptocurrecy of the year and looking at the coins provided.  This is some sort of joke right?  Who put this together?  Any poll without bitcoin in it is rediculous at this point.  Unless it's altcoin of the year than this award thing is crud.  If it's voted on its really just a shill vote anyway.  People will just shill their bags no matter if it's right or wrong.  I'd say this whole thing is pointless.

This is just a bunch of BS so I say there's no effect. "Winners" will just use this as a marketing tool to create hype but I doubt it will have a lasting effect. I've read of organizations collecting some payment from the participants before giving them the award "best" so I've lost trust on them. This CMC awards could be a bit different but can you say they are completely transparent during their selection process of projects?

Honestly, I was pleasantly surprised to learn about the CMC Crypto Awards. It's like a recognition of the contributions made by individuals and projects in the crypto world. I must say, I wouldn't have known about such an award if it weren't for your topic.

well I guess why not we all know the market capital of cryptocurrency right now is realy huge including the fact that bitcoin is already being approved of its ETF.
this award definitely created for the sake of generating a lot more impression towards cryptocurrency in general also marketing for all these cryptocurrency that actually bring something (well meme coin aside but it does bring volume to the exchange)
I think its fine, even if the award result also qualification is not truly disclosed what parameter being used.
regardless though any other category out there also have award, gaming have award, as well as the other things. definitely not gonna hurt to have one in cryptocurrency considering crypto has been the spotlight of this decades.
considering that, what CMC doing is completely normal in my opinion.

Nice initiative from Binance and CMC. It would not only introduce popular and promising projects to new investors but would also increase the competition between projects to achieve an award winning positions.
I'm no expert but still for me, the choice for best crypto of the year would be TON, rest of them are old and Solana though a worthy option, have issues to solve.
For Memecoin, I'd go with PEPE as they created their dominance in last year and are the most popular among the nominees.
Bridgebuilder is no doubt Blackrock, they have achieved a milestone success for Crypto.
And most innovative L1/L2/Crosschain would be ZKSync, though I'm still researching about the project and yet to invest, they when properly implemented could kill every other L2 options.
