Japanese exchanges have a tendency to be hacked, Zaif exchange lost more than $50M a few days, and it's not the first Japanese exchange to be hacked.

The ZAIF token dropped, after the official confirmation of the hack.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
So far with my own experience, binance is one of my best exchange I've ever used, like someone said I like binance's 2 BTC withdrawal even not KYC verified. Never encountered any issue using them.

The worst exchange is Yobit, and that's one of my biggest mistakes I've ever done in crypto-world, though that was still in 2016 and I never used them again, and I bet most of you knows this exchange which their signature campaign is still active in this forum.

Bitstamp is by far the best and most consistently stable exchange I have ever used. I signed up back in 2013 and there hasn't been one single moment they made me want to leave. It also happens to be one of the very few exchanges with actual USD volume that isn't insanely inflated by fake trades as all the other USDT garbage exchanges tend to do. In other words, it's the perfect exchange to benchmark.

The worst exchange I have ever known and actually used was Cryptsy which rightfully doesn't exist anymore, but the gap it left behind has been filled up by exchanges that are ten times worse than Cryptsy. I consider exchanges as Yobit and Cryptopia to be one of the worst ever exchanges I have seen, and the most ridiculous part is that they keep growing. It's pure insanity.

The worst that i ever tried is coinsmarket and looks like they already closed their service, another one is mercatox, their support is so slow, problem with live chart and withdrawal. But looks like they're getting better nowadays.

The best exchange is my local exchange which i can withdraw it to my local bank account without KYC for small transaction. For multicoins, i will choose binance for the best exchange.

Coinbase Pro which is operated by Coinbase is a secure one, they are one of the major exchanges even though they don't cover a lot of Altcoins. Just in some recent news, They're even expanding their team with talented people that worked in well know companies before.

I have disliked all the Chinesey ones I've tried - Huobi, OKex, BTER/Gate.io. They all have shit UIs, weird translation blind spots and there's something I don't trust about any of them. I can't shake off the feeling that one day they're all going to screw me good and proper.

The most painless I've sampled has been Bittrex but their redesign makes them less sexy to use.

I have so many exchanges on my list of good exchanges but two exchange I absolutely adore are Kucoin and Gate.io, from the speed of deposits and withdrawals down to excellent customer service and fast transaction framework, they will always remain at the top of my list.
But one exchange I absolutely hate is BitPaction Exchange, little wonder it turned out to be a scam and they quietly exited.

My favorite is Binance.  I like the 2 BTC withdraw limit for people who wish to remain private.  I also like the volume on the exchange.  I can get in and out of positions worth a few Bitcoin without too much fuss.

My least favorite exchange is Huobi.  They have an unwritten rule on every coin thy have and it states a yearly withdraw limit.  This information is no where to be found.  I was harmed by this rule.  When I told Huobi this was not fair they told me to pound sand and wait the year out.

Well Etherdelta is a decentralized exchange and doesn't have the same security flaws that bitso may have, that could be debated based on the recent smart contract flaws in etherdelta, but nonetheless its still a DEX.

There is a huge trade off when using decentralized exchanges so its no surprise that you hated it, but its the cost of being decentralized....have you ever used crypto-bridge? That exchange is probably my least favorite to use, its a DEX and its like running poloniex back in spring 2017....extremely slow and constantly having to be refreshed.

Best exchange I have ever used is GDAX, now Coinbase PRO, extremely fast and never had an issue since 2013, worst exchange I ever used was either cryptsy or mintpal, both of those exchanges were hacked and screwed over all their users.

So far I have tried the services of a lot of exchanges, but I must be fair in recognizing that I have not used them very often, so I have not had the opportunity to know in detail all its features and advantages. However, I can clearly identify which one has given me a service that best suits my needs and which does not.

And for those of us who live in Mexico, there is no doubt that the most useful and indispensable exchange is bitso, because although it still manages a small number of cryptos, the efficient and quick way to carry out deposits and withdrawals in national currency is impressive. In addition, this company is supervised by financial authorities to prevent any type of fraud.

And the worst exchange that I have used is undoubtedly Etherdelta, although fortunately its poor service is gradually leading to the disappearance, although at the time it was a great help for those of us who wanted to exchange tokens before being listed in major exchanges.
