This is who we are.
Having recently had the time of year focused on the celebratory spirit of the charity of Jesus Christ, sharing a birthday around that time could be competitively confusing. How humbling would it be to have a birthday fall exactly on the same day which so many observe to be the same day as Christ's birth? Whether or not it is. The memorial to his most humble of births is apparent even today. Vain things of the world which are able to puff up so many to greatness. A birthday celebration such that believers and those who don't believe, make it a point to celebrate, for whatever reason.  How many people in your life believe enough in your greatness to celebrate?

The purpose of celebrating a birthday varies from person to person. Other years on my birthday I make my own biryani in my own developed style and feed it to my family members for lunch. From shopping to washing dishes. I did the same last time but a surprise was waiting for me. After spending many winters of my life this is the first time I got the mechanical wristwatch of my dreams as a birthday present.

What is your purpose for celebrating your birthday?
Because I'm the type of person who doesn't care about birthdays
I always wonder why someone celebrates a birthday, what their purpose is

when I asked my friends their answers did not impress or satisfy me.

Until I made jocks "people who make birthdays are people who expect gifts from other people Cheesy" hhhh

This time I ask you why and what is your purpose for celebrating your birthday?
I think birthday celebrations are relative depending on the person
If you don't celebrate your birthday, it doesn't matter as long as you respect other people celebrating it
Happiness starts with small things, maybe celebrating it can make them happy
our duty to appreciate.

It only comes once a year it is important to celebrate it

Personally it is to be grateful that i have been given yet another year life is precious and time is something that we often take for granted we do not even realize sometimes that too much time has passed and we are getting older and older to me i like to celebrate my birthday with the people closest to my heart it is to remind myself that no matter how hard life gets, i am not only given another year to live but i am also surrounded by people who loves me and makes me feel special

Quite cliché of a post but it’s true, at least for me

Just to be thankful that I have been given another year to live healthy .

I am not against those people like you that does not love celebrating because it is your day and your life , but for me there are so many things to celebrate in Birthday because we don't know if we will be having one again.

Life is too short to not celebrate the additional year with our lives. But to me, whether I celebrate it or not, I'm totally good with it and had no problem at all.
Hats off!  For you. You understand life. Respect
We all will understand it as we get older and thanks to all of the past journeys and life lessons that I've been in.

While if there are still young guys out here reading threads like this, you'll get to see one day why we become passive and old. But that doesn't mean that our hearts get older too.

If you're good to celebrate it and able to do so, do it. It doesn't have to be birthday cakes or balloons or grand celebration. A simple rest day will do appreciating your life and we're like aging like fine wine.

I do celebrate my birthday, but not regularly. The truth about birthday celebrations is that we just noticed our new age, and we kind of want to appreciate the little things as time doesn't come twice.

If you don't appreciate the life you live, you might not be able to appreciate anything in general. though I understand your perspective on celebration, where people host big parties just for birthday celebrations. Well, it depends on one's pocket. If you can afford to call all your friends to celebrate your new age, then that's where big celebrations are, and that's where money is being spent that seems awkward to you.

though I believe people have different cultures. I guess this is our own culture that we celebrate birthdays, but if you are not okay with the birthday celebrations, you can just ignore them rather than judge people's actions.

I don't celebrate my birthday but the time that I got married and I've got a kid already, I understand what's the essence and importance of it.

My kid likes to celebrate birthday and I was kind of forced to do it for the happiness. I have no complains but I see the happiness of a little kid within that and understood that we have to celebrate even the smallest things that we have in our lives.
