Sell or spend only what you need and only when you need it.  Otherwise, hold.

This... anything else is silly.

Allmost. We all speculate a little here and there, just never forget that it is a hyperbull market. At least for several more years until it goes to the appropriate level. While it's constantly rising, speculate carefully.

Ok, how many times the inherent value is the appropriate value?

I had always planned to sell some at $1000. I pulled those asks, wondering where to place them now.... Maybe $2k...

Oh and Bitcoins totally have intrinsic value, and buy and hold is totally not speculating. And most people who post in the speculation forum are just here because it's such a nice place.

amirite?

Do not sell your btc if you don't need the cash, it's like i don't know, selling your house and then living on the street with a bag of cash. Quite idiotic Smiley

You can speculate, meaning trying to guess highs and lows, but never with anything too significant to lose.

Because real estate always goes up Up UP, just like Bitcoin.

near term, I believe if when 1 BTC = $1600 I will sell a small amount and wait some more.
I'm talking about days since now that it passed a round number it will be major news on TV and news papers around the world.

So it might reach $2500 soon, like it did in April when it crossed $100 and went all the way to $265.

I plan on rebuying when it drops below $1000 and it might after the excitement subsides in a few weeks or months.

What's your oppinion?

$250000 and hopefully by then bitcoin is mainstream enough for me to keep some stash and buying stuff with bitcoins without having to use crappy dollars.

i am curious how much you guys value your btc. of course, holding btc doesnt mean you cant buy more btc and spend it in the meantime, which i do. but what is the price at which you would sell all your btc, or a majority of it? assuming you never need it for an emergency, to pay off debt, etc.
