In trading we need more knowledge and experience than strategy. Trading has no specific strategy, it is depend on situation and also you, that how you deal with your coins. Only sell your coins in more than your buying price than sure you have no problem to sell your coins and also you get profit, may be little but confirm you get profit. Don't greedy to much, because in this situation, you will miss the chance to sell your coins.
Yeah, the simple trading strategy should be buying low and selling high. Too many people are following this strategy just to be successful in the trading market and they are definitely producing great results following this strategy. Indeed the trading strategy varies with situation to situation.

what is your stratety in trading

Same with another people, buy low, sell high, and get out before too late. Cryptocurrency and currency have similar strategy, the different only people who make decisions. Everyone has different mindset and behavior, those things can bring impact into their option. For cryptocurrency, I suggest you play like an investor with long time period,  but for currency just do it like your job. Finish today and never hold ( short term ), don't forget stop loss and money management. Good luck.

The simple and straight strategy for Bitcoin, Buy at low price and sell at high price.
What I do, I buy the Bitcoin and hold it till its price is increased or at least gives me 100$ profit and I sell it. I have never done trading in Altcoins, I do not have much knowledge about Altcoins.
It is easy in theory. But if we practice then we need the right conditions in making decisions. Patience in my opinion becomes an important point when we can make decisions calmly and not in a hurry. Because trading is in need of calm, when the price can be said to increase then the best decision is to immediately sell it. Preferably a continuous profit rather than just waiting with big profits.

Yes, I have set some conditions.
I have set a target that when I buy Bitcoins I watch the market and understand it after buying I will wait for the price to increase I mostly sell my Bitcoins when they give me 100$ profit. I am not a greedy person I do not wait for 100$s of profit. 100$ is ok for me.

For bitcoin, I'm not following a specific strategy. Just see myself as a holder. Trading bitcoin might make you lose more than you would probably earn. It's very volatile and I'm not gonna trade it actively once the volatility decrease.

For altcoins, I'm randomly trading them with respect to the support and resistance points I've detected.
If you are going to trade and you know you do not have the prior knowledge about it i agree that the best thing to do is just to hold first until the time you know the specific way of trading. Trading has a simple principle which is to buy when it is low and sell when it is high because in that way you could have profit and earn more. And i also see altcoin as a good platform on trading because it is an alternative option for transaction and for real trading sites which make its price move in the market.

Just keep paying attention to charts of movement and rating. When it's time we go down and when we go on sale.

as for buy low sell high strategy, the trend always go against me. Whenever I think the dip is the lowest, I buy but then It goes lower and never come back up until I sold. Same as sell high, whenever I sell high, the price will just keep going up until now BTC is still going for ATH..

The best strategy for Bitcoin that has worked very well for me is "buy the dips". I have been doing that since last year everytime there was a dump or a "price crash". Thankfully it worked or I would have invested 20% of my monthly salary for nothing.

what is your stratety in trading
Trading on what? Bitcoin or on Altcoin? Since i do have different ways on trading them because on BTC i would just simple buy it and hodl it for long term purposes and at the same time i do make short trading with altcoin too which can give me decent amounts of money in shorter timeframe which i cant possibly do on bitcoin trading. Just follow the basic fundamentals and do applied all the knowledge and experience you do have along the way.
I'm pleased your strategy, pretty nice story as like in every trader adopt this formula. People love it and do it CryptoCurreny trading as it is the fastest possible time to get decent amounts of money. I noticed that most of the recommended places to buy bitcoin and hold it for long term purposes, there's no regret as Bitcoin Price will Boom.
For bitcoins, it is always good to hold them in wallets for long time than using them for day trading. I suggest treating them as long term investment. They are the valuable asset of the future. There is no need of wasting them foolishly for some trivial matters.

For sure that kind of person is not successful. It doesnt matter if we tell our secretes or not. Its upto the person how to use that trading strategy. I think mosf of the people will suggest swing trading to you. Also you can try out researching of coins which are having greatest 24 hours volume of trading. Moreover you can see which ICO are trendinf on the forum.

There's no right strategy when doing trading. trading is a risky method to earn money. I've been trading since then and i can't manage to make alot of money from trading. I recently sell my bitcoin at the price of $2700 and I miss the chance of earning a lot because bitcoin right now is approximately at $4k. The only thing i could advice to you is Sell high and Buy low right now at this moment I'm waiting for the big dump so i can buy bitcoin once again.

Presently I hold my bitcoins and I don't plan to offer at any point in the near future, I think cost will rise more

This is the truth that everyone has own stretagy for the trading .Here my stretagy is totally different from the other traders .
Here i have ACCOUNT at multiple trading sites like yobit , cryptopia , live coin , nova exchange , bitrex , poloniex etc .
I always keeping attention of my eye at every coin whether the price is different from exchange to exchange or not and then place order
To sell at one exchange and at he same time place order to buy at another at low price , in this way i am able to make trade without wait and better earnings in small time .
Usually i never go for long term investment because i needed to wait to get profit from my invested coins and I can't use sudden because that can be results into much loss .

I don't have a stable strategy in trading because i don't stick with single strategy or a few strategy because i like to explore and try other strategies that other are trying. I am kind of person that love exploring and experimenting so i don't have permanent strategy. The strategy that i have as of now is to just do average buying and sell it on resistance.
At the end of the day, is going to definitely pay you off.  Crypto market is full of fluctuations and we need to keep on changing our strategies in order to meet the demands of Crypto market. To come up with new plans off and on is good to understand trading in a better way. But I will not suggest taking risk with big capital.

Strategy depends on if you are a daytrader or just a normal trader that holds altcoins for a short period.
If you are more flexible and change your strategy everytime you make a new operation then you will problably get lost on the road. the only thing that you have to do in "trading" is just buying when you see a good price, analize if the market can go up again, and then wait, if you are a daytrader then buy and setup a sell order at 2% profit, 3%, etc. if you will hold then sell when you want to.
its so simple as that.

people always do the opposite of "buy low, sell high" because too easy to be impatient and panic. based on the experience I have, just reduce the frequency of trading and hold good coins

That's right. Well if you're an experienced day trader, it's ok if you do regular day trades since you pretty much are aware of what to do in tight situations. You're not going to panic or anything. If you're starting out, better observe first and yeah holding good coins would be a good strategy.

what is your stratety in trading

The main thing to remember is always buy low and sell high. Some people panic and start selling when the price drops to cut their losses. That's fine if you don't trust bitcoin to recover, but if you believe that it will rebound, then you should buy when the price drops rather than sell.

The other thing to remember is when you sell, make sure your sell price is high enough to make a profit, otherwise you should just hold.
to me my y is very simple i most invest my money in bitcoin in a limit and never like to increase investment from  that limit.

I follow the flow and don't really apply any strategy while trading. I would simply buy when I think its right time to do and I will simply sell if I'm getting even small amount of profit. I don't get greedy and may be that's a good strategy to follow when trading your coins and stay profited. I have seen many threads yelling about "I lost my trade because I got greedy" , "I'm loosing money lost 40% what should I do" and much more like this. Such emotional trading is not of use and always fails us in the trade. So for me real strategy is to follow simple steps and grab little profits.

He's not asking for the magic formula of the trade, but by different opinions on trade strategies. I learned a lot watching how other people do.

Magic formula is difrent for each person, before someone find what is good for him its OK to ask this kind of questions. My experience with day trading wasn't successful in profitable way, but I learned how some things work, my loss was the price I paid for that school. Now I'm buying and keeping coins for some longer period. This way is much easier for me, I'm making some profit and its better then before. I keep coins minimum 2 or 3 months, and I'm buying more in that period if price is good for me. Just never quit, even when its going hard keep going and always try to find the best way for you.

Im a short trader either on bitcoin or on altcoin but it is somehow hard because of the volatility but i cant really explain my trading ways since its really hard to explain though. We do have different trading styles but the thing i do really want to say that technical analysis doesnt work on cryptoworld unlike on trading in forex it do need technical analysis to increase winning trade chances but here on bitcoin world its an another story.

Trading is my life now a days and I have been doing it with lots of pairs of BTC/xx. The best pair for me is monero, ripple, crb, ETH. These are top most traded by me. My strategy is to focus on these pairs because they are kind of lucky for me and I know these pairs very deeply. So I understand when to buy them and sell them by exchanging with btc. I don't invest in any other pairs without understanding the nature of their trend and the trend must be available for at least one month period. With this much data analysis it gets easier to know whether coins will rise up or sink down. Learning the open and close at perfect time just by relying on news and trends.

I have 2 strategy on trading bitcoin, i don't know if this is effective i still don't know because i just started doing this. So the first is

BUY LOW AND SELL HIGH - I think this is the most basic and known strategy on trading where you're going to buy a low price coin and you're going to wait until its price or value pumps or rise and when that happens you're goig to sell it in order to make profit.

And the other is

HOLD - where you're going to buy coin example is bitcoin and you're just going to leave it for a long time and when you came back it's price will sure be rise.

I think you can use google to search for other strategies and i think you should invest in trading and figure ot put your own strategy.

what is your stratety in trading
If we do a research, there are many strategy in trading to be a successful traders such as watching a candlesticks. But I have my own simple common strategy. If you know that this project is legit and its price is going down then paused so the next move is going up so you need to be prepared.
I see. In my case I don't do any such strategy in trading because I only trade whenever I'm on a tight budget. If I have hold my btc for quite some time without exchanging it into a real cash, there's a tendency for me to trade it especially if it's urgent and emergency cases like for medication or any matter that relies to it. I will do research next time if there's a perfect time for me to focus more on trading.

i usually change my mind by the flow of the altcoin and i usually prefer holding for a long term and sell after reaching to a specific amount. i also prefer to invest in different altcoin by seeing the downfall of their price and usually i exchange different altcoin to reach a good amount of profit but mostly i prefer holding for a long term specially for bitcoin.

The key point of trading is the market movement, to speculate the movement usually I used chart and the latest news, the news you can get from forum, coindesk or other places, then after you get the information you can decide which coin to trade, you need to control your emotion and make decision using logic not hunch or feeling

what is your stratety in trading
Very simple. I'm a long term trader. First, i will buy some altcoins -> put these coins on save wallets -> forget about these coins for months/years

You are not the only one who is trading like this, I don't know can we call this way of long term investment as trading. For me trading is constantly buying and selling, there patience when you wait couple days before you make a move, but investing and waiting for years before selling I don't see as trading.
My trading strategy is ordinary, when I see good news about some coins I research it, and if I see that a is a good thing I'm buying.
Now I hold my bitcoins and I do not plan to sell any time soon, I think price will rise more, so I have more time for some alts now, they are down and its good opportunity to buy some.
The simplest strategy for trading safe and in a profitable way is to buy coins at cheap price and sell them off when the prices are touching the sky. There is no problem in keeping coins in wallets for long time. But I only find bitcoins suitable for long term trading and holding.

Altcoins are good ONLY for short term trading strategies and definitely not for any long term strategies.

I always buy an altcoin when the price going down for example like bitsend, usually the bitsend price is always above 10,000 per coin but it's on down now. So i buy it with bulk and just wait until the price comeback to 10k+ per coin and it always work on me. So, buy more when the price down, sell when the price up.

I've made good money trading bitcoin over the years. But due to periods of trading inactivity (where I kept funds in USD), I have lost coins over that same time. No matter what happens in the short term, the long term trajectory clearly seems to be up. So I am now comfortable holding more and more of my funds in BTC.

I do love trading, though. I've started trading stocks and commodities like oil, using bitcoin as collateral, on 1broker. It's easier and less emotional for me to trade these "real life" assets. I'm up almost 0.7 BTC in the last few weeks, and that was built from only 0.5 BTC collateral! Cheesy

What you should aware is, trading bitcoin or altcoins has big risk to lose your money, so just put some money that you're willing to lose.
Trading isn't for newbies, most of them fail in first attempt and loss big amount of money, so here some strategies:
- do not invest on random coins, choose 1 or 2 famous coins which on dips right now.
- invest partially, not all in once
- read the latest news about its development, whether people use it or not
- join into trading group in order to know which coin will be pumped soon.

I hold 2 BTC and 3 ETH.

Now I would like to trade a small amount (100-200€/month) in altcoins. I'm a beginner and before to start trading, I try to understand charts.
Could please tell me what criteria do you use to read charts ? (Fibo, MACD, etc.)
What criteria do you recommend for a beginner ?
to me i have invested my 70% assets in bitcoin, i think we do not need for any strategy while investing money in bitcoin, because we are expecting a very good and safe profit from bitcoin that we cannot expect from anything else. i am sure that the price of bitcoin will continue increasing for a long time and will surely give us a very good profit.

I think there will be no precise strategy for it. The only strategy that the traders are doing is to buy some coins for a small amount or for a cheaper price then they leave it and wsit until it pump then sell it. They already have the profit and then they will another. That could be the good.

Every time i buy altcoin i always srt the sell order to my target amount that i know i could get good profit because by doing that you do not need to monitor your investment you just need check once a day. Because its normal strategy to buy with small amount and sell if the price is high.

Yes, that's an ample strategy to do and you do have a good idea of trading if you are holding your coin for several days and don't sell it while the price is low. You might regret after you sell at a wrong timing, the price might spike higher and you won't benefit from the holdings you had. Don't monitor always because it may threatens you to panic sells in the future, so you won't be able to gain profit with enough returns from the token you bought as your investment.

The best strategy by basic is just to buy low and sell high but always choose a altcoin which is live for long in the market because there are a lots of new altcoin are scam or will become no value so it will be useless if you invest there unlike the coins that actually gaining more price increase because of the legit back ground and already been tested by other traders..
If you know coinmarketcap this is the place where you can see all the price of altcoin and the tip choose an altcoin to hold for a long which is in the top 20 altcoin that i think you can make profit once the price is increased .
Learn to know what are the good margin setup and you can make a good profit if you know the best setup..

Mine is very simple, and right now it's very profitable. I just hold BTC, and if they are rising I just keep making small investments overtime, if they seem to be dropping I wait until they look that have reached the bottom, and make a "big" investment (or at least bigger than those small ones over time). Of course I can't always do this, but that is what I try to do. Right now BTC looks like a very good investment for long run, so I think that buying and holding is the best option. Of course that selling at high price would be great, but the odds for them to rise, looks better than the odds for them to go low, and that's why I prefer buying than selling. In the future they will eventually pay off.

For cryptocurrency trding there is a simple rule to follow.
Buy when the price is low, and sell when it reach high. For bitcoin there is no need for any specific type of homework or whatever you can say it a market analysis but for alts the market analysis or the ratio analysis is must which help me to decide whether to purchase a specific coin or not. I am  please that most of my analysis are useful and I make quite good earnings from my investment.

I use martiangle strategy for cryptocurrency but scalper strategy for currency strategy. Cryptocurrency more like an investment but currency is my job, like or not make me happy. But crypto sometimes makes me panic sell, because their price falling down, again and again, need extra patience to hold. I try to understand real market combined with my skill and deal with the risk. Choose the right strategy and fix it on the real market makes us a real trader. Good luck.

After losing a good amount of crypto and time on daytrading, I decided to go the more "safer" route since I always did the exact opposite of "buy low, sell high" because I was too impatient and I panic alot when prices drops even only at a slight amount. I pretty much buy cryptocurrencies that I believe has a future value when their prices dips or crashes, and don't sell. Just hold for the long run. This way I'm alot more mentally relaxed, and even at price dips or crashes I don't get nervous or something similar because I know it will always end up with a profit after a few years.

the best strategy is to pay attention and perform an analysis of price movements. Because then we can make some decisions appropriately.
Do not forget also to continue to be patient and not affected to the words of others. Because if not so could we be experiencing panic sell.
