Those USB block erupters will get you absolutely nowhere. They don't have a high enough hash rate to even come close to competing with other SHA-256 miners. If you are a novice and are just getting into it I would recommend this as a bare minimum: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Bitmain-Antminer-S3-PLUS-453-GH-s-Bitcoin-BTC-ASIC-Miner-/371304797293?hash=item56737d946d:g:aaoAAOSwqu9VLEuI#viTabs_0 . Don't make the mistake I made where I bought a gridseed ASIC dual miner. I'll never get return on investment with it. Happy mining

But my idea is to mine altcoins and exchange it with bitcoins I know it's almost impossible to mine bitcoin but with altcoins especially those newly launch we have a good chance to make a profit,some miners are doing just that

Can you elaborate so it's much more economical and profitable to mine using Gpu than usb block erupter what are the best coins to mine and what is most compatible GPU for my spare desktop hdxd2710 I am looking forward to mine using this desktop

I've always wanted to start mining but I don't have enough resources for hardware except CPU to which we can just buy some good GPC card in our local computer store. which kind of Graphic card do you recommend?

try to mine hodl, seems kinda good for cpu

Ok but if I am going to mine newly launched coin that is SHA-256 based will it yield me profit I see on a list hat it can mine bytecoin which I mining now on minergate but if I am going to get that large hashratse I can mine up to 2000 bytecoin daily compare to what I am getting now which is 50 to 100 bytecoin from 10 to 15 hashrate ..what is your opinion?
