And yes, a selfpromo, but seriously, my site is all about users winning! I only take a small fee from the winnings, but rest goes between users. And as I've mentioned previously, I was thinking of adding a chess type of game too, although it's not really related to the site. I will add "Battle Ship" type of game though.
Also, reason I haven't added chess yet is because anyone can cheat online with the moves. You can't do that with battle ship.
I'd think you can do that even with Battleship - it's just that the bot would be somewhat less effective, by virtue of the position of the enemy pieces not being known at the start. But such a bot would still tend to make the optimal move each turn, allowing its user to win a larger percentage of games than you'd usually expect. It reminds me of the recent news about the poker bot Cepheus (
http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/speaking-of-science/wp/2015/01/08/meet-cepheus-the-virtually-unbeatable-poker-playing-computer).
As for Chess, and given the popular demand, you could still include it, while placing a warning about the possibility of cheaters using bots during the game. I'm not sure most people would be willing to bet in that scenario, but at least it would attract more users to the site, even if just for playing for fun, or among friends.
