Thank you all, now it's more clear to me.

It seems that you were already so aware of this thing that now I'm wondering if also my question should have been posted in Beginners and Help. Cheesy

A lot of the threads can overlap or belong in one or more other threads, but it's just for like the basics. I don't think a question like can i mine bitcoins on my dad's laptop belongs in Mining, but maybe a more advance question can.

In a world of peaches, don't ask for apple sauce
It's a section where new members can ask questions that usually can be answered by most seasoned bitcoiners and where newbies can find threads informing them of Bitcoin (one being the stickied README). If the question is more advanced and fits in another section, it's best it be there. Other threads such as announcements belong in other sections.

Keep it dense, yeah?
It is a section of the forum that can stand out particularly to those newer to the community who have questions. They should expect a warm reception from those who spend time answering these questions.

Perhaps it is also a hotspot for those who browse Bitcointalk anonymously, seeking to find out more about Bitcoin and all it has to offer.

I answered to this post suggesting the OP to move it in another section, but seing at the other threads in Beginners&Help I now have some doubts.
I looked at the stickies in that section but I only see the short but good README(*) and a post about the Welcome threads.

What kind of topics do exactly belong to Beginners and Help section?
I tend to consider that everything related to Beginners and Help can go there unless there is a more specific section. Is that the right interpretation?
Or is it just a question of complexity of the topic, so if it is a presumably easy question it has to go in Beginners no matter the argument?

EDIT: thread splitted in 2 parts because of unrelated arguments -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/what-about-that-good-old-rtfm-to-some-of-newbies-questions-660990
(*) On a side and unrelated note, I would kindly suggest all the older fellow bitcoiners to be a little bit more harsh with newbies that ask always the same questions. Just a little bit.
I think that responses like RTFM or RTFFAQ has never harmed anybody...  Wink
What do you think about that? Could it be a good idea or wouldn't it change anything?

I wonder if the frequency of posts like "How activity works", "I can't upload avatars" or "Why I cannot post every 0.10ms" will surpass the average block generation time.  Grin

PS: Mods are already harsh enough!  Tongue
