Yes, NFT's started as a silly little online game that used blockchain technology to allow players to sell and trade the rarest and most valuable digital collectibles. However, it has now grown into something much more meaningful. Simply put, NFT's and blockchain technology are going to make digital collectibles a cornerstone of future e-commerce.
It is happening.

And that's why you see NFTs left and right, games and arts are coming up with the idea of NFTs as it can be sold easily by the artists and developers who are in the technology.

While the buyers, they think it's unique to have it and value will just eventually go up.

cryptokitties were like a valueless meme for fun

but once NFT caught on by celebrities selling/auctioning unique 'ownership' of digital things their fans want. well boom. demand came

if a NBA player sold a meme unrelated to him.. pfft
if a NBA player sold a certificate of ownership of a basketball that won him the national finals.. $cha-ching$

next up i can see NFT becoming share/splits

They are popular because of Memes and all the artists trying to make a quick buck.

The issue is, if you can't sell your art in the real world it is doubtful anyone will buy an NFT of it. In reality, you don't even need NFT to sell artwork, it is overhyped in my opinion. It is useful for gaming skins, avatars, etc but many of the HODLers of random apes etc. are going to be stuck with an image that they didn't create and no one really cares that they own it. They care about the original artist.

Recently NFTs become so popular. Lots of people and investors are suddenly so starting so much discussion on it. So i wonder "Is NFTs truly worthy for us to develop it"? Huh

It all started with CryptoKitties a few years ago. At the time, I dismissed them as short-lived hype and inefficient use of the Ethereum platform. I was not alone since NFT usage had been basically nonexistent until the recent surge.
But, why has 2021 become the year of NFTs' rising popularity? I'm not sure. A number of factors probably contributed, including the soaring prices of nearly all cryptocurrencies at the start of the year. Once again, it all started with Dapper Labs and the NBA, who made use of NFTs as a vehicle to sell digital collectibles. Now that NFTs are being used by artists, they can create a direct relationship with their supporters and fans, making it easier to monetize their work.

Some but not all of them.

Those that have good features and terms for their investors are the ones that becomes popular but for those that doesn't have any incentives and favorable features to their investors, they won't get the time to shine.

Well, many NFTs are digital arts and play to earn so that makes them unique and became popular these days.
