scammer
/ˈskæmə/
noun
1.
(slang) a person who perpetrates a scam; swindler

Basically someone that doesn't want to pay dues, work hard, has ethics, or earn money the honest way.  Usually lazy assholes that use a vehicle like say Bitcoin, to convince noobs and naive people they can get rich quickly, by investing into a scheme or scam operation.

Alot of the early Bitcoin mining manufacturers and most cloud mining operations run an ongoing scam.

Only Butterfly labs got closed down by the feds right? I haven't heard of other operations getting shut down.

For most people in the USA, it is a matter of being lazy or lack of patience. They could earn money honestly, but don't want to put out the effort.

But sometimes it is just survival...

If a particular group of people becomes disenfranchised and not allowed to work or accumulate wealth they will need to find a way to survive. Example, ex-convicts in U.S.A., gypsies & jews in early europe.

In some parts of the world, there just aren't any decent jobs. I when I say decent, I am not even referring to some minimum wage job, I am referring to a job that will buy enough food to feed you and your kids.

I use to spend a lot of time in the Philippines. Before my trips I would chat with girls online. Many would try to scam me and I would stop talking to them. Except this one girl, she was fun to flirt with even though she was always trying a new scam with me. Anyway, when I was in Butuan, she begged to meet me. She was living in a cardboard shack with her sister and a bunch of kids. Their husbands had ran off years ago. However, she was smart and knew english. So she would go online and try to get men to send her money with sob stories. It was the only way she knew how to survive. The money she got paid for food and internet cafe time. She slept on an old reed mat. Her kids were half starved, but never complained.

I stayed with her for about a month and got a good look into her life. It was pure grinding hardship. She worked harder to survive than 99% of the females I know in the USA.

While I was there, the internet went down for about two weeks, this included all ATMs, so I was completely broke for a while. She never complained once. Would go out and find scraps of wood or paper to cook with. One morning there was nothing but an egg and some left over rice. She cooked the egg and gave it me (which I refused and made her give it to the kids). Told me that if my money didn't show up, we could go up into the hills to scrounge for food. Crawdads and stuff.

The sister would try to sell stuff all day beside the road. I think she averaged less than 100 pesos ($2.50) a day in sales. I don't know how much she paid for the stuff, so not sure what her profit was.

I make fun of scammers just like everyone else, but I don't wish them harm or loss of freedom. Many are just trying to survive. Now Somalian pirates...or people that resort to violence....no mercy.

What makes someone scammer ?
I thought the biggest factor is lack of morality.

Well, sometimes you are forced to scam to survive. If you are on a pretty difficult situation and basically trapped in a circumstance since birth (ie, being born in a shitty environment) you'll be forced to do anything to survive, scamming is one of the quickest way to do it and when you need to eat you don't care about morality.

That's right but people tend to do it over the Internet not because they are in a tough spot but because it's anonymous.

What makes someone a scammer? what do u think?Huh??

Usually greed, vengeance and the idolizing of money instead of anything worth while. People who make empty promises and deliver nothing they agree upon are scammers. they lead others to believe what they offer is valid in an attempt to run away with a small foprtune. scammers come in a variety of personas, Cex.io is scammers, hashprofit is also scammers. CEX.io is completely transparent to how they scam people out of thier bitcoins where as places like hashprofit is not.

Human nature is as it is, if I can get away with it I will do it. If I wont get in  trouble then its not wrong. that is the mindset of people like Ghash.io and hashprofit and the countless others out there.

In my opinion if someone use your money for his own benefit, like in most online HYIP programs today.
Basically, this people lie to others for personal benefit and don't care for others, stealing your money.
Low level people.

Willing revenge after being scammed

Revenging who exactly here , Unless he can revenge the one who scammed him on the first place ... I don't think that revenging of random people makes anything right at all & make no sense at all

But people tend to take a revenge on somebody innocent too, just in need for revenge in general.

I would call it poor people who do not care about value and others. Just looking for profiting on the others.

Good lucky, if they think they became better and happy this way.

Someone who doesn't have righteous value. I mean you know it is morally wrong but still do it anyway. Making others feel miserable and cheated of their hard earned money is the worst crime ever.

I strongly disagree, that a scammer has to be poor. There are a lot of scammers who where already rich in the beginning.
To become a scammer, you just have to have no moral standards. I think, most of the time, they think, they are just better as everybody else.
In my opinion casinos are also not scammers. Casinos are more like drug dealers, since they make most money by exploiting an addiction.

Depends on how you view it
Delivering a product and lying about what work it entails seems to qualify looking in Meta although I would consider that more of a con myself.
Traditional one is takes money then gives you nothing

What makes someone a scammer? what do u think?Huh??

mm your question have basically two meanings , at least this what I see.
If you mean what are the things that makes him become a scammer then it's definitly being poor ,despret and/or simply Greedy Grin
for the second meaning if you mean what are the things that define if someone is a scammer or not then I think it's simply stealing from people and scamming xD
Couldn't be simplier then that .
