I don't really hide my bets in public. In fact, my co-workers know that when lunch time is already in, I would make my way to get my laptop and place bets on sports or any esports that I know of. They even ask me for recommendations on who to bet, but that is something that I don't usually grant given that money is on the line and a lot of times, my predictions are ass. They can ask who are playing or what my thoughts on my bet are, but I don't give out straight predictions because I don't want to be blamed if it got lost.

Same here mate, I would be real glad to give some tip-off because that is what they want in the first place but I try to consider some things because my tip wasn't a guarantee for them to win because I cannot even guarantee myself with every bet I had. I just try to give some advice just like you but that doesn't mean a given name and team for example.
Am also of this opinion of not trusting my betting techniques since gambling is basically rely on luck, so if my bet is made public that does not mean others should copy my betting formula since it is not a guarantee for winning, individual differences and luck have a lot to do in the outcome of each bet.
This is what i do have in mind and on the first place i havent put up into my mind about hiding your bets into the public.Im not really that too confident that i could really beat up the house or beat up gambling or do make

out some strategy that you do believe that its working. If it does exist then thats the time you would really be considering out on not to make it public for it not to be saturated or being patched but we know thats not how reality works because there's no such thing about holy grail or what thats why i dont really bother most of the time.

Also, im just a small time gambler so making bets according into some betting habits will always be the norm and nothing special about it and just use on the amount
which i can afford to lose.

Actually maybe my reason is the same as the people who have responded here because I am also a gambler with a fairly small bet so it doesn't really matter to me but there are indeed some cases that I do a little differently to hide it because there are some that I have to protect and I don't really want people to see what I do and how much balance I have there and I usually hide it.
But this only happens if I use my name which the public doesn't want to know.

I tend to hide my bets because it's one way to avoid unwanted attention in chat, even though I still post my bets on chat from time to time it's better to keep most of my bets to myself.

Also this one. I remember my days in nitrogensports wherein I posted a bet slip which is against the majority of the bets that time. I got ridiculed and laughed at for choosing the 'underdogs' with players that are 'inexperienced and washed out.' I won that bet, it was a tier 2 dota 2 qualifiers to a major that I already forgot which teams, but I remember so vividly how they mocked Mushi for being too old to play dota and whatnot. Afterwards I never posted a bet slip anymore even if it won due to that unpleasant experience. Nothing major but it still is infuriating whenever I remember it.

Most crypto users value their privacy, therefore, hiding usernames and bets details on crypto casinos is supposed to be the default setting not the other way around.
Personally, I have the same username on almost all casinos, so being able to hide it is very important to me just in case someone is tracking me (regardless of whether he has malicious intents or he is just a curious person).

As much as I can I don't want to publicize my bets in public due to some reasons. The most common reason is I don't want people to see if I am having a winning and losing streak since it could catch an attention from many people. Privacy is really important and its good if all casino have this feature because for sure many gamblers don't want people to talk about their activities since somehow this could destroy their focus.
The situation is same here. I also hide my username when I play with bigger bankroll. I wasn't doing it in the beginning stage, but nowadays I keep my username hidden. Because, I had received lot's of mention in the chat, also PM from various people when my big wins appeared in the bet history page. It destruct my attentions from the betting. But I keep my username publicly available too when it is necessary for taking part in the challenges.

I don't mind showing people my bets, but I want my username to be private.  that is the only reason why I disabled showing username and hide it under the anonymous player.  I always play slots so there isn't much strategy from it.  I just press bet amount and auto spin, and everyone does that.  Aside from that, I don't have a huge bankroll so there is really no reason to hide my bets.

If you are referring to the total bets that has been wagered, I really do not care that much on making it known by the public. But maybe if I have more to gamble, I might consider hiding it.
On the other hand, if you are talking about bets... that on sports betting, I think it is much better to just not make it post in public as it might affect the amount of your winnings if the odds changed significantly. Maybe just share it once the event is completely done.

I haven't tried hiding my personal bets before since I'm just a small bettor. I guess I will only do that if I will feel ashamed of my continuous losses but so far, I still feel comfortable showing it. Some players like checking the account of huge bettors because of curiosity but I guess that's still safe as long as we're on a trusted site.

Actually I rarely use this feature because I rarely use my real name just pseudonym, maybe only the same name of this forum and even then it depends on the casino usually different too, another reason I want to look normal too but if want activate it maybe like you are concerned with strategy when participating in contests. After all no one will be interested in anchovy gamblers like me.

That's because I don't feel comfortable showing my gambling activities publicly. Besides, I don't want to be the reason someone will become addicted to gambling because they see me playing gambling. It is better for me to play gambling secretly in one place than to gamble in public. In addition, I play online gambling, so it won't make people suspicious if I'm in front of the computer because they will think I'm working.

Usually many sites keep their site bet history open.  Where everyone can see that history. Through this they increase the publicity of their site. It looks like new gamblers are attracted to that site.  For this they made such a plan. But if you are a professional gambler.  So I think it's best to keep your bet history hidden. And all those gambling sites hide their bets history.  That site should be used
Yeah, new people who see the other users bet history will feel attracted since they think the casino is really have many gamblers that played on their casino. But sometimes it can be faked, especially for new casinos. If you see the chat that only have few gamblers but the replay is really crowd, obviously it's faked.
Yes, this usually happens like this. Common new casinos keep bet history open on their site's home page. And there they show plenty of bets. Most of these are fake which they do themselves using bot. So I think it is better not to use such gambling sites. These sites are likely to be deceived.

I personally don't hide it as long as it will not involve any sensitive information that may harm my own account. I haven't hide any bets in public since it's not that much they can get to anyway on  all of my accounts in online gambling. I think those whales probably needed it the most but for as shrimps, it won't matter I suppose.

To me, I always decide to stay private, as long as I don't have any connection with the public. I am a privacy advocate and I try as much as possible to stay away from the public, so if peradventure any newbies want to copy my betting formula is up to them to understand that my personal experiences are what influence decisions, understand that betting or gambling is influenced by so many factors and following a laydown technique is a wrong betting behavior but following the right statistics will give you an accurate result.

Privacy might be more important than to have fun, and its really a choice of every gambler.
I do prefer to gamble with my username in public, I don't take this seriously and sometimes I also want to interact with other gamblers and I see this more fun. There's an option with this where you can set up your account as a private, we've seen this before and that's fine. Hiding means you want to be protected, regards of your status you can still have this kind of settings.

I don't tend to hide or keep my username private in my betting because I'm also a small gambler and I rarely play. I also don't care if they imitate the strategy I used, it's up to them. I only hide it when I want to or in case the information I have used on the gambling site is related to my true identity. Maybe I’ll even be able to hide my identity publicly if I win big.

I did the same it's ignorable if you're betting small no one will hardly know unless the username you're using is well known so why hide it, if there is a contest like OP mentioned its best to not show it because when it comes to contesting everyone is for each own, and if you won you can make it public any big wins is considered as a chip in your shoulder, but of course, your username should be different from what you're using from real life.

Not really sure what you're talking about, hiding your username in this forum are completely pointless if you didn't hide your username on the casino itself. When you're already hide your username and many users did same, no one will know which user is controlled by you if we see from the public bet history.

It's just for privacy to not link between your account on this forum and the casino, that's all.
I think he's talking about hiding the username in the casino as sometimes you'll get distracted by messages from certain users if they see you winning and placed high in the leaderboards of a contest.

Personally I don't like someone to see how much I bet and if I am winning or not, but for other players with higher bets and winning they probably don't want someone to beg sometimes if people see you are winning they would send you a message trying to be friendly and after a while they will ask if they could borrow a money but for some users probably because they just want a privacy. Plain and simple.

The reason is because I only use small funds in every bet (sports betting) and minimum bet (on dice, slots etc.) and consider this not something to be proud of to display, indeed there are players who still display their bets even though they are worth the same as me but I think keeping it hidden feels more comfortable to me.

Some will not be comfortable seeing a person playing gambling because gambling does not have a good name here.
That is why I hide my gambling time from the public, even at home, and I only gamble when I am in my room without anyone with me.
But if I am with my friends who also play gambling, I will show what I do because sometimes, we gamble together in one room Grin

I usually don't use this feature often as I don't really mind people seeing my bets since I seldom do high bets but when I do I make sure to turn it on. There are various reason as to why people turn this feature on especially those who don't want to socialize on the chat or being checked by other players. It's really common for people to keep in check of your account especially if you have a high win rate and a high roller as they try to copy your strategy. However, for me, I only used this feature if I think that I'm gambling with somehow a relatively high bet and don't want people to see it especially if you win. There are some gambling platform where users will try to contact you thru chat if you win and ask for tip.

I usually hide my bet since I’m not comfortable someone is lurking to my win/lose. I’m feeling embarrassed if I have huge loss and someone saw it on the public bet history. I usually use chat box to socialized to other players so most players on the casinos that I’m using knew my username and its such a shame to see my gambling statistics when I’m down big time.

I don't publicize my bets (or the fact that I gamble) in general, I don't really see the need to. It's not a matter of strategy or whatever really, imo games would still boil down to a matter of luck anyway. At the same time though, I don't really hide it, if someone approaches me and starts talking about gambling, I'd join in and enjoy a talk over a drink or something. Some of my close friends do know I'm gambling so we do have some conversations about that, especially if it was about sports gambling.

If the identity of a huge winner is known it can attract hackers into the account, this is why some prefer to keep their privacy to themselves. I don't bet high when I do though but I still don't see any reason to be in public because of the bet I stake. It is the people that like publicity that will like doing that to attract the public and fans to theirselves and social media handles, like the celebrities. I don`t show my bets and wins/loses. The best way to keep your money safe - not to tell anyone about it. Of course here is only my nickname, but someone can make research, try to get my e-mail, after it my real name, etc, etc. And if no one know about my money - i`m interesting for no one.
And i can understand why men show their results - they want to boast of their success. Someone wants to hear congratulations but i think that it is a bad practice.

Some people just will like privacy, especially if they are gambling with high amount of money (though not advisable to gamble with high amount of money), they will be expecting big win, they may want the public not to know about this and prefer the privacy way. But as for me, I gamble with just very low amount of money, I do not consider going for any privacy way, such do not even bothers me. But privacy is good, especially to help solve the feeling of not being secure and it can actually help and enhance someone's security.

When playing gambling we have different strategies and some of us take this as an advantage to make sure it is all about the strategy of our own. I guess it is good only to flex the win streak at the same time as the total wins by that still you can share your achievements of it. Some of the gambling platform today has their feature regarding getting private to make sure that their players has still made themselves anonymously.

Most casinos want to publish all bets publicly for their transparency, and in many cases, also as a marketing strategy to attract new gamblers. Of course, if you want to know if you're dealing with a professional gambler then there is no better way to find out than by seeing their stats online. But sometimes it's not always that simple. Every gambler has the right to discretion and the right to his privacy. I usually like to hide my bets when it comes to big amounts and when it's not a common technique. And in the case where a bet is under $100, it doesn't really matter if anyone sees my name or not.

How about you guys, what makes you hide your bets and/or what makes you show it to the World?

I'm just a small bettor who usually follow the odds, so I don't see any urgency for me to hide my bets and identity, beside its just a username which still makes me private gambler. If you value your strategy or what, its ok to hide your bets if that makes you more comfortable but some site don't have this kind of feature I guess, that's why many are still showing their names and it is still fine with them.

I have seen majority of people hide their usernames when they are on high rollers
They do it on purpose, as they don’t want any other members know that they are winning or losing big.
I have also seen that this happens majorly in the site which have chatrooms to interact.
Many people also hide their username, as in this way they can be saved from passive begging in inboxes.
I am not a high roller , so therefore for there is no need to make my name private and bet.

I don't understand why anyone want to show bets in public. When you place a bet,you are using an online casino most of the time and thus the bet is between you and the casino, there is no need for someone else to see it.In fact when I used to place sport bets on my local neighbor club people were curious about what did you bet,we used to exchange views with each other but this most of the time ended up in all of us losing our bets because we were impacted by each other thinking, that is why I never share a bet unless in rare cases when I hit a big win which I want to share with other people but after the bet has been settled of course.

I hide my bets because I'm too embarrassed to show it publicly and serves no purpose other than for showing off and for fun. However, I encountered some incident where someone contacted and tried to scam me because previously I showed my bets and it was quite decent. You know, match fixing stuff. Therefore, I don't think people besides influencers should show their bets because it'll only harm them.

On the contrary, I like that no one knows how much money I bet and how much I won or lost. I do not need publicity in such matters. I consider this one of the elementary safety rules. In general, life is always better when people around you know less about you. Because among them there may be envious people and hidden enemies. The less they know about you, the better for you. And they can use the information you told them against you. For example, such people can tell the boss, that you allowed yourself to lose a large amount in gambling in the casino. And that means you have a lot of money. And the boss can cut your pay.
This is of course a primitive example, but it happens in life as I said.

There can be a couple of reasons so as why people might choose to hide their bets, from having complete discretion to having zero public influence it is quite a way to make sure that people do not ' copy ' as well, some newbies will try and copy every bet that you might make only to end up causing stress for some bettors, I do think that the best way would be to be highly organized while gambling and winning without anyone knowing, its like the time when a man won lottrey online, posted about it and got killed the next day. Discretion is a vital strategy, I also like making bets without putting my name in there and using only casinos without kyc.

Topic: Do you place your bet(s) as private or unlisted in the "public bets list"?

Why? Why not?

I utilize this feature from time to time and the main reasons why I do this are:

-To hide my bets from the public, and to keep my strategy(more on stragedy really)  from the public view. It is a secret recipe for disaster. I also utilize it because it gives me an edge on contests, because others can watch and they will be able to strategize something that surpass my lb ranking(s).

I turn it on occasionally if a contest requires username visibility to make sure the wager or stats is mine, . etc.

Thank you and good luck to your bets!
