I don't have much more budget than only 0.40 BTC per month.  Is it possible to create a low budget faucet with all above these features? Please let me know.

That amount is enough, I think. One thing about ads is that never, ever use popunder/pop-up ads to help you monetize your content, it would just annoy your traffic and may be one of the reason for them not to visit your site again.

Have you tested popup monetization or just a guess based by the fact that pop-ups are annoying ??

Best Regards

I've seen it from reviews and other users complaining about the issue. Pop-up ads are the most annoying type of adverts that would likely drive away most of your traffic. Best to just put banners and enticing *CLICK HERE FOR MORE BITCOINS* link rather than putting up a pop-up advertisement in your site.

I've heard from a few people who run faucet sites & other sites "dispensing" Bitcoin to others that popups & popups drive away traffic en masse.

Besides, most visitors use pop-up blockers anyway, so it's especially annoying if you use a blocker and it still comes through.

Yes, but the idea is that you make it all back plus a profit. Think of it more like a loan to yourself. Instead of trusting some random person to pay you back plus interest you are betting on yourself and your faucet performance to pay you back plus a profit.

There are a lot of depending factors. If you are making it yourself, you don't have to pay for development.
There's hosting costs and then you get to the payouts vs ad revenue. Most faucets try to find a daily average income from ads vs average payouts to users and set their claim amounts based on that. So some days you profit, some days you lose. Most of it is initial investment and you can do it with less than 1 BTC. It's not like running a dice site where you need a large bank roll.

As my colleague said, if you run things well with a proper plan, it doesn't have to be all that expensive.

You will have to make your faucet stand out a bit though.

So, as per your suggestion, what factor makes the faucet better ? Is higher faucet rewards attract more users ?
Also do visitors click on ads usually.

I guess it's opinion but people usually take into consideration:
- Design
- Payout amount
- Payout frequency (how long to wait in between claims)
- Too many ads? Are they annoying? Is there malware?
- Do I have to sign up?
- Extras

Not necessarily in that order but those things are important, and if you want to drive traffic a referral program is a MUST.
The site I created recently I focused heavily on design and user experience. Very few non-obtrusive ads with 200 satoshi every 3 minutes. I made a dice game as well so the users could play dice while waiting between claim. The downside to my site is I require the users to create a username and PW due to the dice game which some users just don't want to do for a faucet. So far things have been going well, just mainly debugging. I find myself re-writing the dice code almost weekly when I notice a bug.

Higher rewards attract more users, but not in the way for you to monetize your site. It will just cost you more over time, making it harder to break even, let alone make a profit.

Ad clicking....It depends Smiley some people will support you by clicking an ad, but it all depends on traffic quality.

By standing out, I meant design-wise, or offer some unique feature or a bit of news for example.

BitcoinAliens is a faucet/mini-game combined, it's one of the better faucets out there tbh Smiley

Using Freebitco.in as a model for you math is a good option because you can calculate their volume through their lottery ticket numbers. Each roll earns two lottery tickets, so if you halve the total lottery tickets earned for a week you can roughly estimate the number of rolls. Use that volume measure to calculate how much payout bitcoin you need for the week, month, etc. Know that some or a lot of lottery tickets can be purchased but the funds to purchase has to come from the bank (either through rolls or wager winnings).

While you're just starting up you may not need as much start-up payout money, but you should prepare to sustain yourself with a high volume so your faucet has the ability to stay funded after generating a lot of volume.

E.g., Freebitco.in has roughly 3.5M rolls per week and the minimum payout is 850 satoshi. So at $232/Bitcoin (today) that equals nearly BTC30 in payouts per week (for a mature and popular faucet).

Have you thought about what unique aspect of your site or payout structure will lure us all to your site? Need some testers? If so, PM me.

Good luck!
