There are lots of things that are yet undone. I called them hidden problems that are to be solved. If you take a look at people on the street there are lots of services that people need but we do not know. If it was possible to read minds, we would see that people walk around with problems that need immediate attention. And they are willing to pay for it even some go to the extent of willing to pay any amount for those services.

But i have an idea, i am thinking of building an app that any can share his/her problems anonymously and someone would help to find assistant for that problem.

Nigeria is a very blessed country with virtually everything you can think of... from Natural resources to human resources. We really do not have a business with being poor.

The major problem with Nigeria is that we have not really had a leader with vision and the political will to pursue the Nigerian dream. All we have so far are people who want to enriched themselves and their cronies with no regards to what happens to the country, her citizens and her future. Now that leadership failed us, should we fold our hands and cry forever?

Look around you, you can practically see opportunities everywhere. I intentionally went for market survey this Christmas season to see the prices of things especially those with high demand. I was shocked to know that 4 months old broiler is sold for as high as N15,000. A rubber of garri goes for N1,700, a bunch of plantain goes for N5,000 while a bag of rice goes for N56,000. I quickly recurred growing up in the family of farmers, these were items we were playing with then that have turned treasures.

It is actually funny that the food production of Nigeria is not enough to feed the citizens.  Why then are people not going into farming? Why do we cry about unemployment when many people have lands they can cultivate in the villages yet lying fallow. I truly see a very big opportunity in farming.

There are many other areas that present huge opportunities that people are not tapping into. My mindset has changed so much lately as I have realised that Nigeria is like an untapped treasure. I'm from South South Nigeria and I can only say about my area. Those from other regions can narrate what they consider as opportunity in their place.

Actually Nigeria is blessed with a lot of natural resources and human resources like in my area, a lot of people have realized the reality of farming activities and most of them have engaged in it.
Farming as we know is a very easy to practice because, even in your own back yard you can prepare just a portion of land to practice some farming activities since it includes both cultivation of plants and rearing of animals, you can either start rearing cows goats or fowls. Depending on your ability and the experience you have. And after some time, you can take them to the market or talk to those you know might need it, they will buy. By so doing, you are moving. Don't look down on your self, be confident in what you do and before you know it, you will realize that you are no more at where you were some days back.
It really doesn't matter how faster or slower the movement is, but what matters most is that one day, you shall be at the destination you are dreaming of. Because the destiny is not the same.
just keep moving.

In a bit to feed the Nigerian population, the vast lands we have that are not being cultivated is not because of the fact that there are no farmers but it's because of their unavailability of farming tools like mechanized farming system, because you don't expect holes and machete to be used to feed the multitude of crowd we have in our country,  so if we can come together as a people to form some co-operation in a bid to help the local farming system by introducing machines to either farmers or those of them that want to go into farming it will help to boost our agricultural sector. Another angle to some of these problems is the hike in price of goods and services and  inflation which have affected the economy due to the hike in fuel price,  which has multiplier effect on the economy negatively.

Yes, indeed in Nigeria farmers are suffering from the lack of mechanized and advance farming implements like tractors, water pumps and sprayers. they are also lacking farming inputs like fertilizers, chemicals like herbicides insecticide and modernized seeds that would yield positively during harvesting.
They are also lacking good access road that would lead rural and urban and make them accessible to each other with ease. making it harder and difficult for them to practice. When government tries to show concern on the issue of farmers and subsidize things for them, make sure things are available for them, it will encourage the farmers more.
But even when government don't show concern or don't support farmers with necessary materials, at least, we should not fold our arms doing nothing about it because that would not solve the problem that is already on the ground. We should rather get up and start something even if it's little. Get a piece of land clear it and plants it with suitable crops like cassava, doesn't require much fertility for it to do on the land.
Cassava is very beneficial, you can derive many things from it like garri, starch, cassava powder and you can also eat cassava like that and sell it's pills or give it to goats, cows and sheeps.

Nigeria is an industrious nation that its citizens does not only relies on their prospective natural resources but on the peaks of individual capacity reliances. Moreso, We lives to be creatively productive and and exhibiting of our posseses to a reality. If there was really a saying that recites that (nothing goes for nothing) then I would say it is basically Nigeriand terms because Nugeirans have the abilities to putting its manpowers, creativities to technologies and of course exploring entrepreneurly to the even innovate usefulness out of a seemed useless materials.
Nugeira is a possessive nation that the citizens had literarily looked over most ofbrh natural resources that the governments has taken personally but yet they technically explores beyond the values of their natural resources.
Citizens will struggle, some will come out successful in all rounds and phase of life. The main here is looking up to your fear and grabbing them with confidence of dissolving them. We're used to current situation of the country and also ensure to make good use of the opportunities surrounding us. We're no gods but humans and will always strive for our personal best this season. We should always tie our knots and sit up for prominent results in the system, I know how tough it can be.

Op this your matter is deeply painful as per the condition in which we citizens found ourselves over all the natural resources and endowment of the earth in which our leaders have hinder the citizens not to harness using all levels of policy to even embezzled the little that is harness. Many nation eye our country with the kind aboundant resources we have with nothing to write home as we keep on begging for help and borrow from world bank and other nations. Our leaders is not ready to harness the resources of the nation as well use it citizens  for the economy development considering the level of knowledge wisdom that is found among the citizens the common example is the issue of refining crude oil outside the nation while muldler refinery if built can solve allot of petrol scarcity issue and reduces crime rate of oil thieves but the government is not ready due to few individual who is benefiting massively who are in government.

Resources of these nation is too numerous to mention that no citizens should have found it self jobless but this is as a result of using leaders without dream to govern the people,t that is why the saying when a blind man leads everything will go blind because he can't see. What we have in leadership is kakistocracy where the least is even leading, tell me what will be the results of country where  professionalism don't matter whether your brother is educated or not he occupied the office the resources will lies waste why the citizens suffer because only who know road can show or lead correctly, Is extremely unfortunate.

Their are many opportunities which we fined but the dreams are dieing gradually due to nothing no capital to start it with ,for me I have business I draft with my ability and what I studied in school, agriculture

I have the idea to have Agricultural farm

Poultry farm
Piggery farm
Fishery farm
Vegetable farm
Spawning of cat fish
Cassava farm
But due to no capital all my ideas seems to die just like that but am trying to make sure I will achieve it all is a gradual process,if someone should help me and actualize it I will be one of the topest in the town

We've heard about some mimicking jokes about motivational speeches such as "Dangote started his business with one bag of cement and a tip spoon of rice". That could be really funny but right about it, it serves as encouragements that we can always start somewhere below if we're not able to kickstart chasing our dreams from a prominent grade such as starting up our investment in the big way as we can just have a pictorial glance at it.

It's also agreed that we need capital to invest as it maybe addressed as investment moreso, let's also understand that we can always reach a great in a gradual process if only we don't give chances to be delayed or distracted by excuses.
Insufficient funds to start up your dream business is not an acceptable excuse because the little you've can as much ve investigated somewhere and you could accumulate little funds by little until you could be shaped to take part in playing in your dream investment which you can always start from somewhere.
So @Loveday422, while formally concord that every investments requires capitals, let me also bring it to you that you don't have to find yourself being discouraged at some points with the excuses of capitalizations.
Out of all those you've outlined, right in as Nigerians, farmers and Entrepreneurs we're, I can tell you that there are lot of the above mentioned you can't afford t9 give capital excise about
Perhaps you can start up casava farming in a little scale of land and you can actually run those labour services by yourself to cut some funds costs while you keep growing on gradual processes where you can enlarge to have it bigger and industrialized.

You can also consider the poultry maybe with little number of chicks because you must not have them in bulks since your Capital is insufficient and while you're dedicated with your little begining, you're potential to exploit to reach your dream.
And definitely you can diversify to meet up with all of it you've been dreaming of during when you've made progress.
So, don't give excuses to all that outlined here if they're your dreams to life.

Despite the hard times we are facing in this countries,  their are lots of opportunities in the country,  you only get this opportunity if you have connections.  If youu make research from the Internet you will see that their are opportunities in this country. Some people found it so difficult because they do not know the righte way or know somebody who  can give them details to gain opportunities.

You are absolutely right, yes there are lot of opportunities both in reality and online, the only thing that we are just lacking behind or making us not to see the opportunities is because of lack of information, assuming there is a room for awareness in this country, the hardship won't be affecting us like this and we would also be self employment without waiting for the government and also online, the rate of scammers are too many to the extent, people can't differentiate between real and fake again because the way they are creating the fake one, someone will confused it to be the real, so assuming people are being informed just like the way we are informed another this Bitcointalk forum, when we see the fake, we will know, so if there is enough awareness in this country, it will be very helpful.

Nigeria is a country that has been blessed with natural resources but it's just quite unfortunate that we ain't seeing the dividends gotten from our God given resources due to corrupt politicians and leaders, from one bad government to another and that has been the case for many years now. Any leader that occupies a public office will not want to make improvements instead they will blame their predecessor and still continue in that bad governance they claimed that their predecessor had.

Talking about Nigeria having a dream, to me Nigeria doesn't have any dream because if they do we won't be in this messy situation and our economy continuously dropping almost on daily basis even our currency doesn't have value anymore so a country that has dream can't continue is this situations.

Now, about food production, we have lots of farmers that produces food crops from their various farmlands but yet these farm produce are still being sold in high prices just like those goods we import Abroad so there's actually no difference again.

Like I normally say that we are the architects of our problems and that's the gospel truth like if the government ain't making efforts to reduce the tension in the country why can't we the citizens help ourselves on how we can make things easier for one another.

there are lots of opportunities surrounding is in this country that are yet untapped she its very evident around almost all the 33 state of the federation. Every state has abundance of resource that is enough to sustaining our youth but the problem is that most of us aren't looking into it and our concern is so much fixed on the oil that other resources has become obsolete to our view.

In my locality, we have abundance of fishes and a lot of fertile ground that are yet to be cultivated and I bet you that if you involve in either of those two you will earn 5× the amount you will be oaud as a banker but because we're too used to certain jobs in the society, who cares about those supposed manual jobs?

If you decide to go into those jobs eh, you self go belief say God truly bless us on a normal.

There are many opportunities around my area but the problem here is that other people that are in that particular business will not allow the new ones to grow in their business because the tax force are many here and they will do everything possible to frustrate your business because other business owners that have be in that business for long use to bribe the tax force to use some law that is not really necessary in the country to make the new business owners to regret why they open such business.

Nigerians are really blessed of course with many resource and fertile land for crop production. These are means whereby we can make good sources of living but most people would prefer having to work in an office or companies instead of farming.
Farming does not necessarily means doing the farm works your self or manually, it can also be done industrially or by securing farm laborers. If we are able to go back into farming then I believe things will be much better.

The government are also failing on their part that is why we should remove our eyes from them as they are not willing to help the masses. It is right time we depend on our very own capacity

Let's start with the government themselves, they are not giving agriculture a serious consideration to encourage the people key into farming practices, i remember after the oil boom, many have left the agricultural zone to the oil sector and those that begin with this are the government, except if you want to stay on your own and make the change you want right from then confort of where you're by farming without having to depend on government or their modern facilities before achieving your own freedom for life.

Oo..i see. The opportunities were talking about is farming. The fact that Nigeria has really good soil is enough for us to eat more  than enough. But I wonder though, why is the price of Garri increasing and local food products too... Can somebody explain why they are increasing?

These are products we can easily get from the soil at the back of our house or a vacant land we can utilize, but I still want to understand. It's not like the farmers are using fuel to produce these things and the cost of production is literally land you already own, raw materials to be replanted.. and highest your sweat. What exactly is making them sell Garri for #1700?

Anyway, if I want to talk about opportunities I literally see around me, it would be the internet and the ability to learn digital skills. Food is important, but these skills help the economy in a really long run.

Why then are people not going into farming? Why do we cry about unemployment when many people have lands they can cultivate in the villages yet lying fallow. I truly see a very big opportunity in farming.

Why people don't go into farming is simply because of herds men. We dey talk like say we don forget say herds men dey carry their cows enter people farm go chop all the things wey farmers suffer plant. In some cases self the herders dey uproot cassava by themselves put for ground for the animals to dey chop. If them enter any farm all the things dey finish of course we know say the cow dey plenty waka. These herders dey carry knife, gun and ready to kill any vigilante wey try to chase dem.

What about insecurity wey farmers dey face, raping of women for farm, kidnapping etc.

All these food shortages and problem started with Buhari because him no gree stop herders to dey waka enter people farm, so na the consequences be this wey dey go on like this.

There are many other areas that present huge opportunities that people are not tapping into. My mindset has changed so much lately as I have realised that Nigeria is like an untapped treasure. Which other ways my brother wey no be bonkering wey dey illegal. To do genuine business for here to trade and buy no be easy thing again, if you no take time your capital go waka with inflation. The only opportunity wey me I dey see na online business wey you just only need your smartphone and data.

My brother you hit the nail for the head, na my mind naim you just talk so, sometimes I go just dey look people wey dey talk about say  farming naim be the way just dey laugh because, if to say them fey actually do the farm work dem go know how the business don spoil reach. Thank God say the op talk say before dem dey get am clear from farming, I still let you know say now and den nor be the same thing oo.

Yes na true say people nor suppose to sit down for house nor dey any but to play draft or do approko and complain about the government while dem fit actually engage demsef for something wey go fit produce money, but when we talk about farming my brother, if you nor get land e dey very hard now to convince person wey get make em for give you small portion wey you go use take farm oo, even like this sef, some lands wey we been dey use farm the owners don come collect am say dem wan build house in the next 3 month, but like this e don dey go 4 better years e never still do anything.

Me na better cassava farmer, based on the south region of the country wey I from, before the rainy/flood season we don harvest our cassava finish and we go come store the cassava stem till dry season for the next farm season. After we don go plant finish aboki go carry their cow go chop the only stem wey we get, and the funny part na be say most of the stem na buy we dey buy am, do you can just imagine after all the stress and money wey you put inside, everything go just go like that. About two months ago herds men been kill one of my relative for bush just because e ho question dem, and that thing bring very big problem, now the man wife and 7 children dey house, no papa.

No be say better thing nor dey for the farm business oo, but the stress come join with disappointment wey herds men dey cause naim just dey make the thing dey tire person sometimes, even for isoko south of delta state the rapping reported cases don many well well. So my brother, no be the way you thing say e dey naim e dey so oo, things don change well well.
