My portfolio (in percents) differ a lot. 60% is Bitcoin (or about it - I did not make these calculations). Ethereum is presented there, of course. Besides, about 20% of it is given to the tokens, which are not in the top-20, OmiseGO, for instance.
My portfolio is more own coins that are cheap but have the capability to grow in the future. Ethereum and Bitcoin are too expensive for me, but I think they are still the best options that you should have in your portfolio. Having a diversity of coins in your portfolio should also be a thing.
My experience in March 2017 until December 2017

Holding BTC and ETH for the long term with a majority allocation in BTC. Also, waiting for the launch of Polkadot and Dfinity later this year to see how they shape up.
Most of my capital is still allocated to bitcoin and the top 50 coins. I will only try Altcoin with a small amount of capital, coins with small cap and large volumes will be my priority. RET coin is such an option.
I would rather hold cheap coins, yes high risk but once the bull market starts there eould be a lot of profit. Currently, I only hold 1 token and that is XBX, it is like BNB. They have a lot of products that once it is launch for sure many people will like it thiugh marketing is lacking but let see in the future.
Keeping portfolio's to make listing on your favorite and trusted coins that will sure increase in price in the next month or year is a common thing here in the forum, But if this is your own listing then that should be find because that is your own decision at work, And I guess you have seen something great with ETH for having so much percentage on it, But I guess mostly in the forum would have a bigger percentage on BTC more than any other Altcoin, And my portfolio sure have a 35% on BTC 10% on ETH only 5% on other coins and 50% on fiat money because that is what my total salary is made of and keeping a sure money for emergency because I am treating crypto as an asset and I am just buying small portion on cryptocurrency.
I can not definitely bet only on altcoin. In my portfolio is always present Bitcoin and ETH, as well as stellar and Tron. In most cases, I do not really justify the presence of other altcoins in my portfolio. But otherwise, I very much hope for certain projects that already have good results even today. An example is pundi X, Populous, Miracle TELE.

25% of your portfolio is bitcoin? If you want to remake your portfolio as much as possible make it 50%-90% bitcoin and the rest will be notable altcoins like ethereum and litecoin. If that's your reason for not expanding with bitcoin due to its 'limited increase'.
I think you haven't seen on how high it has made for 2 consecutive quarters. Relying on your luck with altcoins, what if the alts that you have chosen didn't rely to what you are saying? it's risky if you will have that kind of reasoning.

I'll be more focussing on earning bitcoin in trading coins for a preparation of the upcoming bullrun. This is my target to watch my portfolio, full of btc holding and less altcoins.

Altcoin is pure luck,
I used more than 60% for bitcoin and put less than 10% to ethereum and the rest for the promising altcoin. My opinion the IEO market was giving a huge impact to the ethereum. IEO was robing the demand for ethereum and so many exchange sites are taking the advantage from it and that's why i put less in ethereum. See who is the ultimate winner of this round of bull market

i just hodl top 200 rather than top 100
i just have speculation top 200 its more easier to raising when bull coming.
like Matic,BIX,Factom or Xmax.

We didn´t lear any lesson from the previous bull markets, every bull market starts with rapid BTC price growth and after that altcoin season come.

Generally I used portfolio where 50% btc and rest of Altcoins. And in Altcoins I choose Eth ltc and other some coin which is potential based on the that time. So in one world my portfolio is btc 50℅ eth 20% and rest of the altcoins 30%.

i think its better if you have same percentage in both crypto
wich mean 35% in bitcoin, 35% in ethereum and the rest of your money going to altcoins
