I agree, but being a currency high liquidity and wide adoption is practically the main part of success itself - which you can't just develop - caused by the features the list is mainly consist of. Anyway, I shut up now. Good luck.

I see what you're saying. I just think that these things are going into people's decisions to invest/support any specific cryptocurrency today, so in turn they will have some affect as to what cryptocurrencies are successful in 5 years. I am going to allow 30 votes so hopefully that is enough.. you can choose all but 5 of the current options. Smiley

ICO? Not even once.
Unlimited options would just as well highlight the most popular but also the least popular ones.
The problem is there are multiple options that are connected to each other or built on top of each other and some are not even real properties like high liquidity.

Alright, the people have spoken! Although, I think high liquidity is an important "property" of a cryptocurrency. It is not really usable in any useful sense if it has low liquidity... although it is not really a property (along with having many exchanges, wide merchant adoption, etc..) I still think those are important factors to a successful cryptocurrency. Perhaps I will change the wording of the question to not use the word properties...

^ You mean Charles Hoskinson's next project/startup?  Because I think that will be it.

Edit:  And transaction speed is a must.

I do agree there are unfortunately some options connected to eachother such as privacy/anonymity and then all of the anonymity features. I wanted to give people a chance to choose which implementations they thought were best specifically, but feel free to check the privacy/anonymity option if you choose any of the more specific privacy options (and do the same with any features that are related).

I will reset the votes, lock this one up, and create a new poll that allows for many more votes.

A decentralized exchange with cross currency settlement (Ripple) using Bit-Fiat CFDs (Bitshares) with a turing complete programming/scripting language (Ethereum).

I smell what you're stepping in bro.  Cool

I chose 5 because the point is to find the most important properties. However, after creating the poll and voting I must say I thought 5 was too little as well. I also didn't want the results to be skewed towards cryptocurrencies that have a lot of features. Unfortunately, pretty much the only thing I can't edit in the poll is the amount of choices users can make. Sad

I guess I can create a new thread and lock this one... how many do you guys think would be fair? 10 votes?

I am curious of everyone's response.  Smiley

Feel free to suggest things to be added to the poll.
