If anyone on here would know the answer to that would probably not need to be around here much - all we can do is analyse and anticipate or make predictions. Because no one really knows is safest to diversify as much possible but perhaps you'd want to keep around BTC, ETH, LTC, DASH or IOTA maybe? Of course, everyone has slightly different preferences.

i divide my portfolio to 3-7 coins no more. because if i divide too more, i feel confused to manage
but if too little, that's not safe for my asset

Right now I am thinking that there shouldn`t be any altcoins in your portfolio if you want to make a passive investment that you are going to be holding for more than a few months. If that is not the case and you just want to make fast trades or exchanges I`d suggest Ethereum and Litecoin as two main altcoins.

There is no standard investment portfolio. The ratio of coins depend on the level of risks you are willing to take.

Just for reference, I am willing to take medium risk level. My investment portfolio is usually 50% in BTC, 30% Altcoins and 20% in ICO project.

if you want to feel safe in investing, you should allocate 90% of your money to Ethereum, the remaining 10% you invest in a coin that has value and solid.I think that's the right tactic for long-term or short-term investments.

Crypto money should be a portfolio of investors themselves. They must make and invest in trading on this generated portfolio. If you want to make money, you should make the necessary investments and wait.

In the crypto-currency world, it is not easy to specify the Standard Altcoins portfolio. Tracking is very important. Knowing the graphics is the most important of these. You have to learn all of them to determine the portfolio.

50% of your funds should be allocated to already established coins like ether ,ripple or Dash. The remainder 50% should be  divided into two. 25% on coins that just got listed on exchange after an ICO and the 25% remainder on an ICO coins that seems to have a strong team and good proof of concept.

70-80% investment in top20 alts(especially EOS,VeChain,Binance coin I`d recommend)
10-15% in perspective projects with small cap but with real useful product, like Pundi X,Power Ledger
5% in risky alts which can pump greatly(don`t know, but maybe forks of BTC, Bitcoin Private)

I think the best strategy is to invest in top volume alts, also do not forget to pick btc the king too for a balanced portfolio, some alts to consider for solid portfolio include ethereum, litecoin, dash, zcash, eos, ada, stellar, icx and neo.

It depends on risk taking ratio. If risk doesn't matter the ratio can be 1:1. But if you want to take more risk, then 60% of the portfolio should be bitcoin else 40%.

From my perspective i think 40%of the portfolio holds bitcoin or ETH. It’s my opinion. I only suggest you don't invest above 30%in a particular coin. Now it's totally up to you to take best decision.

I think its a really bad idea to work in alitcoins. Most of the people are using btc and etherum. But for standard porfolio of altcoins you need to be a risk taker for sure.I think you should prefer 8%-9% for altcoins.

Never invest more than 25% of your money to a single coin. Have your 75% investment in 10 of your choices no more.
Diversify your investments between ICO tokens, Mineable currencies, Privacy focused and as many different fields as possible.

Look into CMC web site and you will see that BTC domination is about 36-40%, so I would keep the same equivalent in my portfolio. What about ALTs, I would keep mostly in long term projects like EOS, ETH and about 2-3% each  in some good ALTs .

an empty one or at the very best containing up to only 2 altcoins.

basically portfolio in altcoins is a dumb idea because you want your portfolio to be diverse whereas when you invest in multiple altcoins they all move together. for example when bitcoin drops they all get murdered! so what is the point of having them?

Thing is you are thought by the public diversify your portfolio, because when you diversify it what you are basically doing is you are moving towards "more secure" but this doesn't mean that you are going to gain much. It is hard to find the great coin out there, but when you find some you should put most of the money there because if it turns out to be good choice you can get huge returns. Although since this is all high risk investment only put money in you are comfortable losing. At the beginning you don't want to diversify much maybe you do in future if you have nice portion of money.

i completely agree with the earning part. one of the biggest mistakes that you can make is investing in a lot of coins and making a small amount of profit because of doing that. and also losing a lot of money because you have a lot of coins that may drop all at once and you can't control things that way.

but i disagree with saying it is reducing risk. i believe it actually increases your risk because you are not even diversifying. the word is misused here. you are diversifying if you buy gold or other unrelated assets not something that is completely related to bitcoin price to a point where it relies on it.

What should be standard portfolio of Altcoins ?

Can anyone suggest the % ratio of investment in each Altcoins ?
In my opinion, 40% of any portfolio should occupy bitcoin or ETH. I think it will be correct. The rest of the 60 percent should have different perspective altcoins, but they should not be too much, but it all depends on how much your portfolio is.

This isn't something that can be determined in percentages, you need to have a good portfolio of the coins you're tracking and believe they are going to increase substantially.

Depending on the type of person you are, you can go with riskier investments (hold more new coins with potential) or less riskier investments (hold BTC & ETH).

I think that more than 80% of the capital should be invested in bitcoin and ETH, leaving only 20% of the funds invested in altcoin, which may not be too risky.

I think the ratio of BTC to altcoin should be 1:1. Grin
So when you invest in altcoin, you should try to choose the best underclass tokens.
