Yeah... I signed up to blockchain.info because I'd read some good things about it, but none of the features that I read about seemed to exist... I was very confused until I finally discovered it was because all the good features were in the legacy wallet. Sad

Now I have no private keys, can't sign messages etc. Guess I will need to find another service that provides what I require.
Oh, it is a common misconception, you still can sign message with new wallet just fine. This feature is just little hidden but it is still perfectly fine to do.

Here is a guide how to do it: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-how-to-signverify-message-in-new-blockchain-wallet-1467458
Actually, you can't do it "just fine".

The sign feature only applies to IMPORTED SPENDABLE addresses. This option is not available for any addresses that are created in the new wallet, you cannot sign anything. Granted you can still use the verify option, but unless you create addresses outside of Blockchain.info wallet and import them in, you cannot sign using the new beta wallet.

I have no idea if blockchain.info are planning on adding this feature in the future and/or providing the private keys for new addresses created in the beta wallet. Either way, at the moment, I would say that this feature is only really half implemented.

Stopped using blockchain.info from many months ago but I should say that the old one isn't that bad, never tried the new one but from what i read here i don't understand what is the advantages for using it? I cannot control anymore my private keys so what is the difference between it and coinbase then?
Having the control of your private keys was the major advantage to use blockchain.info imo..

The revolution will be monetized!
What you should know is that you don't actually own any bitcoin unless you have complete and exclusive control of the private keys.

So I had the old blockchain wallet and I didn't login into the new one yet , is there is anything I should know about ?
My bitcoins are going to be transferred somewhere else or I will still have control of my private keys and my seed to recover the wallet ?

you can never go back.
better try the "new" wallet, before you upgrade your old one.
I hate it. It was a mistake to upgrade my wallet.
All your old addresses, go to "importet addresses".

Few things that I have noticed,I'd not advise you to migrate though unless they make it a compulsion to.

>I actually find the old UI better and functional, the new one just makes things complicated.

>It no more saves the unique key in the browser ,you have to copy-paste everytime from your email.

>Your bitcoins won't be transferred anywhere ,they will still use the same keys but for security purposes ,I suggest you to back of your current wallet including the private keys and once you migrate to the new wallet, import the address along with keys there.

The new wallet does not allow to download your private keys.

What's going to happen to my old private keys if I switch to the new one? Will they disappear ? which means even if I lose control of my account somehow and I want to recover the wallet using my printed old private keys (from legacy wallet) , I won't be able to ?
You should be able to do so, because funds will still exist on the same address. For new addresses created there, u wont be able to do so as u wont have the private key.
