I hope the current common throughput problem can be solved, and I think the current EOS can change the current situation,because the current throughput of most projects cannot support the use of large software or enterprises.
I think EOS has shown great improvement since they launched their main net, the network have recorded over a thousand plus transaction per second and I think these new generation of blockchains can meet the criteria you listed, with blockchains like credits, quarkchain, multiversum etc, I think they will do great and offer us with greater performance.

There were a plenty of projects that promised high scalability (up to hundreds of thousands of on-chain transactions per second).None of them have still been implemented so we can't really say whether scalability can reach these figures.
If talking about decentralization, I would definitely not trust all those ripples and eos because they seem to act just as conventional banks.
Yes, and Lightning Network has been of them. Or maybe it still is, I don't really know. No one seems to care about it anymore. And the explanation is pretty simple. No cryptocoin actually needs "hundreds of thousands of on-chain transactions per second" right now. And right now it is not even clear whether such a day will come at all when so large a number of transactions per second will be required. Current blockchain processing capacities seem to be more than enough. We should sooner run out of disk space than blockchain throughput.

What i tkhink is that Security is presently the most important aspect that the next generation blockchain needs to look into. At least, we seriously need to check it.

don't expect much for the next generation. the system is currently owned by blockchain already good enough even nearly approached the word perfect. better to cover up the flaws that currently exist only in order to be blockchain which is getting better and could be adopted in a variety of things and certainly it would be elevating the value of crypto for the future.

I think that the next generation of blockchain will be even better and more scalable. This is a very promising technology that will only improve over the years. The security issue is very important in our time and this technology can solve it in the future.
I expect that the next generation blockchain will make fast the mainstream adoption of cryptocurrency. Because of improved tps, improved security, connects public or private blockchain, etc(name it if I forgot). Also many of my friends are now aware of blockchain technology compared to last year. They directly or indirectly used it.
I think the blockchain technology that was created to further focus on security with the big scale may be because of the increasingly sophisticated technology and the growing digital world of security is also urgently needed.
Next generation blockchains must overcome and create a better crypto world. It must have its own unique functions and more advanced technology.
I think that all the coins that are now there will simply be modified, and blockchain will replace some other design!
Actually the market of crypto currency is on demand. Different types of coins are coming day by day to the market. There are now more than fifteen hundreds coins that are operating in the market. I think blockchain still needs development in terms of security, because as we see, blockchain and cryptocurrency are still dealing with big security issues, the news about hacking and theft is still a lot so that investors are still many who hesitate to enter into cryptocurrency
True, there is still room for maturity of blockchains for sure. its still a very new technology
Yes, you are right. There are many second generation blockchain already available in the market. Scalability, decentralization and security are the unique features of them.
I think at the first place we need to anticipate the faster transactions and lower fees, so this is exactly the things that irritates us in the existing blockchain.
It looks like faster transactions are not possible without sacrificing security and (or) decentralization. I don't know if these issues can be effectively solved at this point, but it will likely require quantum mechanics employed to get past these problems once and for all, even though it may take decades, if at all. Personally, I'm hoping for real-time, truly decentralized distributed exchanges integrated directly into the blockchain, whatever coin will make it. Then we will only need fiat gateways in case we want to cash out. This is doable today but I have yet to see a coin actually offering such features, an exchange right out of the personal wallet.
Although i like the advanced blockchain projects like eos, neo, ada, icx etc but my number one choice still remains to be ethereum network, do not forget that eth is currently working on casper upgrade and more stuff is coming, i think soon eth is going to be bigger and better from all of them.

EOS is the next generation of Centralized Currency, EOS blockchain is not worth to be compared with Decentralized Blockchain like BitcoinI don't expect anything from EOS the team behind it has controls, many people doubt its decentralization and I think that can overcome the trilemma is the previous Blockchain because they are Decentralized, security on Decentralized Blockchain is higher than Centralized, and the previous Blockchain will be improved to solve the problem of scalability
but it's not only a currency like btc, it's a platform and I don't think btc is sooo decentralized too.

There are more than 1500 currencies in the market. And new coins are still being emerged or introduced. But this has led to some complications as well, such as hacking. let’s just hope that our future generation will see a better and clearer blockchains to deal with no hassle whatsoever

I think that the next generation blockchain technology will be aimed at security, because this is a very important topic in our time, when people often suffer from hackers and fraudsters.

But decentralized blockchain has many issues as we can see now. Bitcoin is not a great example of decentralized blockchain, both its currency and mining power are concentrating on minority of the people, which essentially making it centralized.
I think blockchain will more improve in next generation. It will more develop and provide great security for the investors. For this reason investors are more loyal for blockchain.
There is a lot of hope that we want against blockchains, which I hope is that blockchains are able to make a good contribution and can solve all the obstacles associated with the administration and can provide great benefits for investors and they can provide something useful for their users.

Hey very good point! I feel however that EOS decentralization problem could however be quite dangerous in the future possibly. In its consensus model, there are 2 primary factions of node holders if I remember correctly, China and U.S. EOS has never held a promotional event in mainland China, yet there are the same amount of Chinese delegates as U.S. This maybe is not a problem in its self, however there was a Chinese article about how Chinese use vote buying and alliance building to help stay in control. This is against the law according to EOS constitution. Laws in corruption tend to not be hugely effective in the real world. Of course this is not a fault of the EOS technology, rather it is a fault in its consensus mechanism. I fear centralization issues could lead to a bipolar and hyper centralized form of "government" in regards to consensus. I just fear this can lead to bad corruption or something against the system. idk really
