It seems to the business sector for now is starting to explore and will start soon. While the government may start from the population data first, or the identity system of the population, to avoid double ownership, which in some countries is an important issue.
I think that will be popular in the future is something related to ownership data. The easiest is property ownership. Currently it is possible in many countries there are still many cases of property ownership disputes. With blockchain technology there probably will not be any more cases like this.
Maybe the blockchain era will start from the retail industry. Afterwards if it is proven that blockchain is a more efficient technology, it may soon be followed by the financial industry, especially the inter-state transfer system. And I am sure in the future all sectors will follow.

I do not think it would be too difficult if blockchain is applied in many fields at once, because one sector with the other will be integrated. But I'm sure this will not happen any time soon, because blockchain will eliminate the benefits gained from the current system.

The technology of blockchain is most needed and useful in cases where reliable and authentic information is required. It can be finances, jurisprudence, property rights. Now the blockchain is trying to use everywhere, but in most cases it simply is not needed.
Probably some gaming platforms or crypto games will become popular. There are also some other spaces which tech revolutionise in the future. Rather than those there are no mass adaption could be happen.
Maybe it would be great if the state spend using a blockchain system. But maybe not many governments are prioritizing transparency to run their government. And maybe this is one reason not many governments are blessing blockchain for now.
There is no doubt that the blockchain tech will widely be used in finance sector and almost every other field where ledger/record has to be kept securely. Blockchain provides secure, transparent and decentralized data keeping option so every field can utilize this. There is no limitation as almost every field now a days depend upon tech, for tech database is major component.
I don't think so with farming but with gaming, healthcare, gambling, banking and transportation these are the most popular spaces that blockchain can be most useful.

No doubt there are several such coins. You can even take bitcoin or ethereum, neo, waves, dash etc. All of them will cope with this task.

Financial ecosystem should be the main space to be changed by the blockchain system. Because in fact the traditional ecosystem is lack of the transparency and the blockchain was offering high transparency and automation to the financial system. In fact the blockchain gives a lot of impact to change it right now.
In my opinion, accelerating transactions and secure data storage are two big advantages. In the banking sector, payments are processed until 4 pm and only 5 days a week. And if you transfer money between countries, you can wait and more. With blockchain technologies, you can simply forget about delays in payments up to 5 banking days.

I think that it would be a breath of fresh air if Blockchain technology could also cater healthcare and other necessities in life such education social sanitation and transport. These would really have a great impact into the betterment of our society given our present situation. I think it is very vital to always look for innovations or platforms that could help heal our ecosystem too.

From my perspective i think blockchain needs some improvement in particular area and i wish it will. Because some gaming application are doing well in recent times.
I think mostly it will be improved blockchains (infrastructure), financial payment processors and storage (security) wise. Probably some gaming platforms or crypto games will become popular too, like cryptokitties did. Other then that, I don't see major adoption in other areas.
I think transportation. Public service tokens. Anything that would offer a discount on a rate that is used by the masses. If something like that came to life I think it would lead to mass adoption. Ex: uber releases a token that provides discounts on the rate. Buses offer a token and using that token they could ride one extra ride or receive 5% off ride prices.
