I cannot regret not starting it earlier because I had no idea on how it works.
We all have started with no idea about Bitcoin and are totally empty but because of our curiosity as seeing it pop-up online, this brings us to diggings and found it precious. At first, we are too doubtful about the credibility of this, we hear many rumors and negative speculations about Bitcoin. However, we face those negative things and still trying to know more, and the good thing is that, knowing about Bitcoin is a blessing that many people continue to ignore.

I heard about Bitcoin earlier but no one to guild me into it.
As they usually say that information is power,if you are not informed, you are deformed.Later when my friend introduced it to me,and showed me how it works,I started doing the needful and crypto started paying.

I cannot regret not starting it earlier because I had no idea on how it works.

When Bitcoin came to my knowledge was almost the same time ponzi schemes was on the rise and many victims fell for ponzi and those who were knowledgeable about Bitcoin didn't know how to sell the technology to the next man so everything was generalized as ponzi this was my reason for missing out on this in early times

The first time a friend tell me about bitcoin, I was like it not real, it's is ponzi scheme, and also lack of clarity about bitcoin and crypto currency in general.

Previously I did not pay much attention to cryptocurrency because there were few people around me knew about it or use cryptocurrency. Lack of useful information around and no crypto ads around my accounts in the internet of in google. I knew that people used GPU power for some sort of calculations to mine Bitcoin. Besides this, I did not know people earn from it, how they use it and etc. For a long period Bitcoin for me was sort of an "internet money", like PayPal payment system or webmoney. I always thought that if I have PayPal to make payments in internet, why should I know and use something other.

Once a man, twice a child!
I guess I'm one of the few who got lucky by getting in here through personal search fuelled by curiosity. One of the  clicks on Bitcoin socials on the CMC site led me to this forum and I fired down once I got registered. I didn't dilly dally at all as I wanted to soak in as much information on Bitcoin as I could possibly get within a short time. It did work for me, and I realized that I started discussing Bitcoin passionately with friends. Though not many of them were keen to get on board then. Now, some are having a change of mind, and wanting in.

MONEY:
even after discovering that Cryptocurrency isn't a Ponzi scheme I still faced even a greater challenge which is MONEY
I never encountered this issue as I wasn't in a hurry in any way for investment. I didn't even know how to invest in cryptos at the time. All I wanted was to learn and post. Once I started earning here as I ranked up and became eligible for campaigns, I started investing. I never brought in fresh funds to invest.

Not Your Keys, Not Your Bitcoin
Despite the mistakes, I have no regrets. I was misinformed and judged bitcoin, and I was wrong, and I didn't just stop there; I invested in cloud mining with funds that would have bought me 0.9 bitcoin, but I was foolishly caught by those who were ahead of me because they knew what bitcoin was all about but fed us lies and led us down the wrong path.

Now, the mistake I made gave me the opportunity to learn the difference between left and right and was able to come to light, and I didn't stop there, I decided to embrace the knowledge of Bitcoin and here I am, it's assisting me in everything that I spit out from my small head. I'm proud of myself for learning, and the responses have been fantastic.

hearing about bitcoin was great but the implementation was hard due to the traits of loosing your money because you don’t actually trust the person giving out the information, it was difficult to implement  trusting someone to set up an account was difficult because of thief.. imagine when you’re setting up an account for a beginner who do not actually have 40% of ideals, this issue has caused a lot of persons not to engage themselves with bitcoin.. people needs someone who they can trust to make this work.. apart from setting up tutorials and online classes, I think there should be more effort to be done to reach out to those who are willing to invest in bitcoin but are afraid because of thief unlike the normal banking where an individual will be happy going to the bank to open an account because of the trust.. Would you agree with me that whatever a cashier tells it customers, that’s what they do because they believe it’s coming from a trusted source.

An interesting question that I asked myself also.
I first heard about bitcoin in 2013 from a friend but by then I had already invested larger amounts of money in some mlm and revshare programs and had no money to invest extra.
Besides, I didn’t bother to research it further because the idea didn’t seem serious to me.
It took another year and the collapse of my previous investments to go back to bitcoin and crypto and explore it in more detail, and finally register on this forum.
Still, I don't think I'm too late here and it took me a while to figure out what it was all about.

Was not aware of such. Yes, I feel, I should have known about Bitcoin / Crypto earlier. Since, it was said to be a rumor in its beginning stage, many might have ignored it and this is the main reason, crypto's existence did not reach everyone. But yes not too late, I really thank my friend who explained me about Bitcoin and crypto platform in 2016. From then on, yes investing and trading in many exchanges with profits and yes loss as well. But yes one of the best online platform I ever seen and used.

Literally just not sitting down and reading about it from the original sources.

I just kept hearing about it from 3rd parties, things like articles, TV, etc.

It was just until very recently that I sat down and read the whole thing from the original stuff.

Once I finished reading about it I was hooked. Can't believe I just went along with the opinion of these 3rd party people for so many years.

WHAT STOPPED YOU FROM STARTING CRYPTO EARLIER???

WRONG INFORMATION:
The first time I heard of crypto I didn't know what it was about so I asked some person's around me and the way they explained it to me made it sound like it was a Ponzi scheme and even my parents were against the idea of Cryptocurrency they believed it to be an online waste of time project and I believed them and I regret taking their words😞😞😞

I think having the wrong information about cryptocurrency makes people to think that cryptocurrency is a very bad thing and many people thought it's scam, that it's just to scam people or deceive business partners, which is not true. I was also miss lead with wrong information, but after a deep research, I was able to get more knowledge and know some main fact about cryptocurrency,. I have 100%trust in cryptocurrency.

I heard about Bitcoin way earlier than I joined it (one year ago), the reason that I was not curious enough was that I had/have a very good job and didn't feel the need for more money, my focus in life is also enjoying hobbies, family. By that time I was also sick of spamming with binary options investments.

Mine was ignorance and lack of confidence, I knew and had heard so much about crypto currency, I was virtually seeing the profits persons where making out of it, but I was made to believe that It was tactical, demanding and needed lots of strategies to be able to succeed, yes it's true crypto needs all this but the way my tutor made it sound, it was obvious he didn't want me to participate in it cause he only ended up putting fear in me.

There are several reasons why someone is late to start joining the crypto world. Personally, I started late because of the lack of information that I got and my lack of trust in the crypto world. At that time there was no convincing reason why I had to join it. Only after I studied well did I get new information and knowledge that I decided to join it. It is true that we ourselves can convince to join crypto or not, therefore we must have the provisions to be able to start crypto so that we can use it well.

Because I was scared to invest the little money I had at the time. That's about it. I knew of BTC fairly early, but I was never the progressive type when it comes to believing in new ideas. I have since learned to throw in a dollar or two in things I find interesting, just to see what sticks. But that was my mistake. Being at the right place at the right time, and not having enough balls to pull the trigger and invest.

WHAT STOPPED YOU FROM STARTING CRYPTO EARLIER???

I think it is not because it stopped me but rather that its popularity was not that widespread when the time I entered this space.

Back in 2017 (a struggling college student), I remembered that I was having this conversation about watches with my friend. I told him that my dream was to purchase a Seiko watch (SKX-007) but I did not have the necessary funds to get it. He then told me that he participates into campaign signatures that garner him roughly $20/week, so he introduced me to this forum/space. I will be quite frank, that was the first time I ever heard of "bitcoin" and its characteristics.

Earlier means possibly 2009 or 2010 in my case. I only engage on crypto last 2017 it's the time we're almost new project startup are starting to evolve. Yes it's seems pretty new to me but if I dedicated my whole time studying it and focus on some coins that I am now familiar with today then definitely I could go back in time and start with these lile time machine that let me do all the mistake and regrets I wasn't able to do.

I am pretty sure that most people don't go to crypto world earlier because of the news and wrong information. As we know that there are some wrong info and fake news about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. There must be spreading the negaitve news about the weakness, risks, and danger of crypto.
-snip-

In my opinion, Crypto started from the point of view for a newbie to enter. First, they think crypto is a fast-paced world of making money. However, the fact is they do not want to hold when bearish. Then, Leverage trading crypto, generates thousands of % profit, but they forget that they don't understand analysis yet, and only start with "people say".

They stopped because of money laundry, they forgot fiat money was also used for this need. All negative actions related to money can basically be used for laundering. it's just that the government and crypto haters are exaggerating this issue. Leading opinion, that crypto is not good, which returns to a newbie's immediately changes when they hear the warning.

As in my country, crypto is always related to something called "haram" that is why many people choose to avoid crypto or stop from crypto world about the statement.
Crypto is also issued as a danger because mostly used by criminals around the world, money laundry, terrorists, and others. So bad because they don't even crosscheck the news and also positive sides.
And I think that people who living in a country that ban crypto will also not go to the crypto world earlier because they are afraid being arrested or even being wrong to do something ilegal.

And about money, yes it may be also the favtor, but it is small party.

Bitcoin is not something that is well known where I am in 2017, but some media managed to cover the news about ATH in late 2017 and it made me come late to this space. There is an understanding circulating in the community that quite a lot of illegal investments are detrimental to the investors involved in them. I certainly need to learn it first where I should not invest in something I never knew, this is an investment principle. But I never think it's too late to get to know bitcoin, throughout 2018 to 2022 bitcoin has proven to us that it is the most profitable, secure and decentralized asset.

Since 2018 until now I see bitcoin as one of the assets that can help many people both financially and the financial system. Bitcoin is definitely worth considering if you like investing with risk, but bitcoin is not for those who don't like decentralization.

Even I did not refuse, even I immediately learned it, otherwise I knew Bitcoin for about nine years. First I do not see bitcoin as unattractive but I see bitcoin can make money to make ends meet because bitcoin is worth even though it was still very cheap. My motive is that I can make money from the internet and that's real and that makes me excited to continue to explore the crypto world. For beginners of course I am sure they know Bitcoin because of its price, and when going into the market they do not understand the nature of the market. Until they lose, their money is lost. Perhaps many other factors such as capital that is too small, crypto is prohibited by religion, means and certainly the power to survive.

It wasn't exactly "stopped" for me, but rather had the access to get one actually though back in 2013 I was wrongly informed about what crypto was especially Bitcoin. We might not have the same thought where you thought it was a ponzi scheme, but for me I thought it was a coin primarily used by criminals in the deep web as I usually read a lot of internet conspiracies back then plus as I mentioned earlier, I didn't have the access to getting it as I do not own any credit card to buy one from Coinbase plus I can still recall when they can't support my country yet to make a purchase. It was a receive only, if I can recall correctly.

I think most of us experienced that during our time of knowing Bitcoin or when it was first introduced to us. Some people are really taking the advantage of how little the knowledge most people have back then that's why they easily gets scammed and because of that most people losing trust if someone introduce Bitcoin to them. But with the right person with the right knowledge that has a solid proof of how to counter scams and ponzi, it is a great achievement to them because they aren't naive anymore when some people are taking advantage of their lack of knowledge.

I was one of the unbelievers in crypto currency because of unknown reason, oh yea I used to compare crypto to the almighty bubble of dotcom years back but later in 2017 I started regretting my decisions, a friend gave me a BTC in 2016 I rejected it lol 🤣🤣🤣
It seemed we had the same mindset when crypto was first introduced to me, I have an attitude of "to see is to believe" and years back when Bitcoin had an ATH in the last quarter of the year 2017, that's the time I've regret why I refuse to accept when there's someone willing to teach me at that time.
I was thinking of Ponzi scheme before but now, I've realized that I was wrong.

How much the amount of Bitcoin that you rejected?  Cheesy

That's why I didn't force someone if they don't believe in crypto especially in Bitcoin, I let them realize themselves after seeing good news about Bitcoin which isn't hard to find proof about Bitcoin legitimacy and worldwide adoption.  In fact, it's now a very trend on the internet.

I never heard anything about crypto back that year as I do not access the internet too often like others.
But when I browsed the internet, I found an article talking about bitcoin as something that people can trade at the exchange, but it was different than stock.
So I began to search what is bitcoin and fortunately, the faucet website came to me with many coins that I could get for free.
When I started knowing about bitcoin, I have not stopped myself from researching bitcoin and other altcoins because that makes me excited and want to have more and more info about crypto.
With help from the crypto faucet website, I can have many coins in my wallet so I started to trade it to have more bitcoin and that is what I did until now.

The same goes here. When I first heard of Bitcoin or crypto, it appeared more like a scam than a project with huge potentials. When I searched the keywords crypto and Bitcoin in the internet, the word scam was also oftentimes attached. There was simply too much smoke that I thought there must have been some fire. And I myself got scammed. So there was really some doubt at first. But then the more you hear about it and the more effort you exert in knowing what it really is, the more you will understand its real deal. Welcome!

I think I was a bit scary. I also like having a level of control over where my money goes and some things can be pretty risky. Even the first investments I made were in commodities because of their stability and the fact they have more chance of achieving something. So, when I saw the emergence of cryptocurrencies, I never thought that they would have any significant value or become a threat to fiat currency or the central banks.

What made me come around was the element of peer-to-peer transactions. Also, the fact that the technology has been improved over time and the development has been led by the crypto community itself.

Most of them are due to uncertainty, inaccurate information, fear of learning something new, and losing or profiting quickly.
Most of these fears are uncertainty and ignorance, and therefore learning and practice will reduce these risks.
We do not forget that most of our relationship with money is limited, and even trading in the stock exchanges was organized and did not bear fluctuations of 10% or the huge increase in prices.

We all may not have known about cryptos, but I am sure that after knowing them, the probability of investing in them in the next three years will be the greatest.

[Nope]No hype delivers more than hope
I didn't doubt it from the start, but that's how the economy is in developing countries where not everyone has savings and long-term planning. When I was told about bitcoin, the first thing I understood was investing in a company that only the upper class could afford it and that required huge capital. I thought there are many ways to turn money as a regular income other than investing.

I first learned that there was Bitcoin sometime in late 2011 and early 2012, but I have to admit I didn’t understand at first what it was about, and most of the comments I read were mostly negative. I think it's a story shared by many, it was just a different time and there were a lot more people who were skeptical to say the least than those who actually knew what it was all about.

Really? I had no idea that once ban you ain't supposed to return to the forum.😩😩 Does that means this Account will also be ban even when I don't go against the rules of the forum??

25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.

This is the rule of the forum, but of course, it all comes down to whether someone will link account A with account B (which happened here), and then it is up to the moderators/admins to make the final decision. Rule number one, always read the forum rules before you start using the forum.

I learned about cryptocurrency when BTC was the only one, and was almost worthless. At the time, the "knowledge" was that BTC was a "scam". And the whole secrecy around it didn't help.
Ever since, I've seen countless people being scammed with BTC. Basically, a guy gets a computer and puts up a Marketplace ad (or Mercado Libre, in Argentina), and starts meeting people in a starbucks store. Later on, those people invariably come looking for him, and he's nowhere to be found.
So, last year, in about August, I think, a former coworker stated he was looking to get into crypto, and I advised him not to do it. On October 14th, he showed me a screenshot of his BTC wallet. He had started a month earlier with $60, and now had $1156. That definitely got me thinking.
So I started investigating and getting courses at Udemy, and then I joined this forum.

The money thing I'm still trying to deal with...

I didn't just start doing bounty because I love doing bounty I started so that I can save money for my schooling. I am a first year PHARMACY student and you can't just imagine me asking my parents money everytime. And me doing bounties doesn't affect my studies that's why I choose to do it, not because there's fun in it .
And also concerning my  first account it got ban the first few weeks it was created because I had no idea how the system works in BITCOINTALK.so you can't blame me for trying to help myself make little money.
Everyone has their stories;
Maybe everyone desires to earn;
But you cannot earn by working against the forum;
If the forum is to help you in some financial gains, then learn to respect the forum.
You cannot just join a forum without the norms and start earning.
Then, do you know that once banned you are not expected to return to the forum with another account?
You have to learn in order to earn.

You keep saying "crypto" but most of the reasons you mention are wrong about altcoins

Because the OP probably has no distinction, and he calls everything cryptocurrencies. If we talk about Bitcoin, I recognized him from the very beginning of its appearance, but, like many here, I did not believe in him. I worked with Liberty at that time, but suddenly they were banned, but bitcoin was mentioned everywhere. And I decided that this was another scam.
We all get smarter with age.
But as for the OP, it is clear that he desperately needs money, and instead of studying, he spends his time on bounty programs, creating account after account. And today his next account should be banned. It can also be said that someday he will understand and regret the wasted time.

Lack of knowledge about what it really is, and not enough interest to find out more about it. I didn't see a reason why we needed a decentralized payment system, and how can money (value) be moved around without some sort of intermediary. There were other alternatives that I was happier to use. Being in control of your own money is still a new concept, after so many generations have used and been taught to use and trust banks. Bitcoin was something unknown, created by someone unknown, and used anonymously. I didn't think it would work...

You keep saying "crypto" but most of the reasons you mention are wrong about altcoins. For example many of them are scams and could even be categorized as Ponzi schemes since they run similar payment tiers that resemble the Ponzi scheme.

In fact I didn't start with "crypto", I started with bitcoin and interestingly enough I only started after I found out that bitcoin is a currency and can be used for payments whereas 2 years before that in 2012-2013 someone gave me some wrong information that bitcoin is "solving mathematical problems and getting paid for it", so I never even bothered checking it out back then.

WHAT STOPPED YOU FROM STARTING CRYPTO EARLIER???
The word 'stop' in my opinion there is no such term, as long as we want to do it we can certainly do it, especially in today's crypto era, there are hundreds of types of crypto that we can trade and also invest, don't have to have a lot of capital, small capital can enter the crypto world, many successful people in the crypto world with minimal capital, while they have the knowledge to do.

Yes, I see you are in the Bounty campaign section and also with your Alt named: @Odijiehumphrey, my advice, if you want to last long here, obey the Bounty rules, read all the rules they apply, you will get more crypto/tokens there.

And one more thing, if possible in this forum there are many types of paid Bitcoin Paid campaigns, try not to get involved in Bounty first, focus on your ranking, if you have reached the conditions required by the Bitcoin campaign, you can easily get Bitcoin/crypto here, without thinking about scam tokens etc.

WHAT STOPPED YOU FROM STARTING CRYPTO EARLIER???

At about the time i first heard about crypto, it was during a season when there were a lot of ponzi schemes ongoing in my locale. There was "MMM", "Crowd rising" and "Zarfund", all names of leading ponzi schemes that many including myself were victims of. "Zarfund" particularly was crypto based (bitcoin), where a certain amount could get us some little bitcoins, then via crowd funding accumulate this bitcoins.
After they all went offline with out bitcoins and fiat, I wallowed deep in Skepticism about anything crypto or making money online. It took a while, a miracle and some testimony of some friends who were early birds for me bounce back and push skepticism away. So skepticism was my reason.

I'm pretty sure that was the common reason why people scoffed at bitcoin initially. Telling me that we have a new digital currency that an anonymous person created just reeks of scam in the surface level. I mean, most people think that we don't even need a new currency; so why create a new one? I sure had the same exact opinion back then, until I've learned about the flaws of fiat.

WHAT STOPPED YOU FROM STARTING CRYPTO EARLIER???

Pretty much everyone knows about crypto at this point, even if they don't understand it.

I heard about crypto not quite ago and, I didn't take action due to some factors that are most likely the reason others didn't

MONEY:
even after discovering that Cryptocurrency isn't a Ponzi scheme I still faced even a greater challenge which is MONEY. I got acquainted with cryptocurrency but wasn't able to participate in it because I had no money. I decided to start doing airdrops on TELEGRAM and after sometimes I eventually got some SHIT-COINS which didn't worth anything so I couldn't exchange them. it wasn't until recently that a friend of mine whom I'm indebted to introduced me to BITCOINTALK. And since then I have participated in several bounties and there've been some great results from the bounties and very recently I made my first exchange, though it wasn't that much it still made me very happy.

I know I might not be in a position to give anyone advice on this platform because I'm still a NEWBIE, but I do know that we live in a world where fake news strive online because very few tend to verify what's true and what's not. And also feel free to share with us your own experience that also made you delay if you have any.
