These threads are black hat SEO to help the link's search engine results. I believe at least one of the patrollers (staff) uses a bot to stop at least some of these posts via automation.

IMO, the best way to fight off these types of spam attacks would be to prevent search engines (and maybe guests) from seeing posts made by low-level accounts unless the post has reached an age that it would be expected for the moderators to have been able to remove the post if it is spam. For example, if the mods have always been able to remove these posts within 6 hours, search engines would be unable to view a post by a newbie unless the post is 6 hours old.

The moderators have been very active in finding and deleting such threads when they pop up around the forum before some unsuspecting member would click on the malicious links.
This seems to be the new rave of spam and scam on the forum, hopefully it would eventually die down, as some others have done in the past, when the users realize that their efforts is not yielding result. This would however only be possible if mods and users collectively stop the menace.

It seems that spammers have found a new way to circumvent captcha validation or they use some paid captcha solving services.
Bypassing captcha is not the main problem, except their are browsing using TOR.

I noticed this kind of thread yesterday posted with a bunch of unnecessary links which is I have doubt suspected links (but I didn't try to click the link).

I'd reported some of them but now they still keep spamming and posting the links that I'd noticed yesterday.  Just curious how they will find a way to pass the evil IP address so that they didn't need to pay a small amount of Bitcoin and start posting.

They will not succeed in what they want, if they keep spamming, let's keep reporting them so that MODs will take action immediately and notice them.

I've reported many of them on our local board but they keep popping up with new accounts.
What I've noticed is that, sometimes, they use a title of an old topic or even copy paste whole sentences from oher threads to make the spam links look genuine.

It must be admitted that they are persistent with their spam, one newbie open thread and even post something that has some sense, and then another newbie in the second post links.

Here is another fresh example -> https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/should-we-keep-bitcoin-or-not-5297508 (https://archive.vn/8AJVW)

It's just a common spam and click bait titles here mostly with a reddit link or a live video.

Yeah, I've seen a bunch of these going around lately. In the local sections, also. It seems that spammers have found a new way to circumvent captcha validation or they use some paid captcha solving services.

Limited in number. Limitless in potential.
