I'd say keep doing one and two first, who knows you might gather enough attention for coinbase to return your funds or might trigger a group of people to start a class action suit on them for this.

Some tips to improve ppl's engagement on your posts:
First is post proofs, this is so ppl can trust your words and further strengthen your case.
Second is a detailed sequence of what happened-- self explanatory
Third is a catchy title like a short tl;dr for platforms like reddit or this, the goal is to make them stop from scrolling.

Speaking of class actions, I found something that intrigued me in silvermiller firm--they're looking into coinbase's suspicious practices, though not the exact same case as op, it is similar enough.

Undelivered/Unclaimed Funds: Several Coinbase users have complained of sending cryptocurrency to non-Coinbase users via e-mail, having those deliveries either fail or wind up going unclaimed, but not being advised by Coinbase that the transmittals did not reach their intended destinations and not having the undelivered/unclaimed cryptocurrency returned to them.  Instead, Coinbase has allegedly kept those unclaimed funds for itself, which many critics believe represents an unlawful or unfair business practice.

Ignoring the barbaric last post, op's concerns are valid since you need the private keys to recover the coins, and only coinbase has access to it. Assuming this is what it is, it could either be a case of an inside job or just a shady move from coinbase where they straight up refuse a cross-chain sent recovery request only to do it at a later time when most have forgotten about it and without any intention of giving it back 🤔

What you can do is one, continue to pester their support. Two, attract ppl's attention by making a noise in other communities, urge users who had a similar problem to check their cross-chain sent coins if it move. Last is to explore legal options but that depends if the amount is worth it. also, are you perhaps from USA?

Thanks!

Great insigh into the situation, I was posting on Twitter to the most publicity linked people with Coinbase and their support is aware of the situation, what I don't know what do Is wether to chase my own coins or every such victims.

There's not much I'd gain from it besides perhaps angering even more people with my moral principles.

There could be millions there that was paid in bonuses to Coinbase employees for emptied cross crypto transactions.

Perhaps thinking that nobody or not many people would come after their coins.

I'm all over Europe, but been twice to Los Angeles and Las Vegas and once Dallas and Coinbase is located in San Francisco Francisco as I'm aware

Wouldn't hesitate to Throw Lawsuits against them, but law is very complicated

It is indeed complicated as it is costly, especially from you who are coming from a different continent. So the cost-benefit will have to be weighed especially if the amount you are after is not that significant. However, it does not mean you have to stop chasing after what's yours.

While Coinbase is clear that they do not guarantee the return of assets erroneously sent cross-chain, it is a totally different story for them to actually recover the same and keep it. I think Coinbase doesn't have a fault if they won't help users committing errors, but, again, it's another story if they are trying to earn from such errors.

Continue to reach out to them but avoid words which are, borrowing from Potato Chips, barbaric. That's just an invitation for them to totally ignore you and your valid concern.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is actually possible to recover BCH erroneously sent to a BTC address, right?
As per Coinbase's blog, they don't guarantee that they'll give back the wrongly sent BTC/BCH to BCH/BTC address.

What happens if I send Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address?
At this time, Coinbase has already credited accounts who received any BCH at their existing BTC addresses. Going forward, we cannot guarantee that funds will be properly credited when one asset is sent to the address of a different asset. Please make sure that you only send funds to the specific deposit address displayed in your Coinbase account for the asset you are sending. You can view a list of these addresses, or create a new one, by visiting this page.

If you have sent BCH to an external address that was used only for BTC, you will need to obtain the private keys for that address and import them into a BCH wallet in order to access the funds stored there. Coinbase does not support the importing of private keys.

If they have a right to steal like that I have a right to kill them just as well.

Always a smart-ass like you coming up with stupid shit like this who lacks common sense.

As per Spartan Law it's not guaranteed that you won't get killed by doing wrongfully bad things.

If there would be law and justice I would deserve a hundred million from the economy

Randomly checked the the transaction on Blockchain over a year a later and surprise, surprise the coins were removed from that wallet about 4 months later.

The latest Reply that I've got from them was again that the coins can't be recovered, but the Coinbase employee shut up and disappeared when I said that the coins have already been recovered.

So the experience is that they have lied multiple times and absolute know themselves that they have stolen my money and possibly from hundreds of people more.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it is actually possible to recover BCH erroneously sent to a BTC address, right? However, in the case of Coinbase where there are tens of millions of users and possibly thousands of similar accidents or mistakes, and probably even thousands more involving other cross-chain deposits, happening regularly, I doubt they would give much attention to it. Secondly, and more importantly, since the recovery of such a mistake involves the private keys, I doubt there are actually support staff who could do the recovery for you.

Anyway, have you reached out to Coinbase regarding what you've found out, that your funds was actually recovered and moved as per the blockchain?

How do you know that it was a coinbase employee who stole your funds?

It could have been a mistake from your side, maybe leaked login credentials from another site if you use the same email and password on every site, malware such as RAT, giving a random "support team members from telegram" your login details etc

They even know it to that one of their employees stole the coins.

What i don't know however is how many Coinbase employees we're involved and how many other victims there are.

Here is the following what happened.

In late 2019 I made a Bitcoin cash transaction to my Coinbase wallet.

The coins never showed up so I contacted their support and they said that I sent the coins to a Bitcoin address and that they can't be recovered.

Okey I said to them, although I still even have a picture of the address on my iphone that I sent or was going to send the Bitcoin cash to.

I've been wanting to get my hands on the employees, but they have  not been accessible.
This is not possible, if you have any problem with your coinbase account, you have to first contact their support team for assistance, tell them your problem and see how they react to it, in any case they don't address the problem suitably, or they do not reply to your messages, you can drag them on their social handles and create attention to your issue.
My wallet was emptied by a Coinbase Employee
How sure you are it was perpetrated by a coinbase employee, are you sure you've not been hacked, prolly your account details fell to the hands of scammers, who thus imported your funds into their own wallet.

Having said that, it's pertinent to follow the scam report format, and add more information and details about your case.

Been there done that. This topic shouldn't have been moved from the scam report section
