When that someone goes into the forum to ask, I would assume he already did his research and resort to asking it to people online because he can't find the answers.  Doing your own research is one of the hardest when you don't know where to start but reading some suggestions from different users can put you on the right track.

One problem that a newbie in crypto doesn't know is how to buy Bitcoin. And when an article refers them to a website or company they are already happy to buy BTC.  They regret buying later because they submitted KYC documents when a few days after it they knew from other people's posts that submitting KYC isn't good. Their research failed them because they later found out what other users had experienced.

One of our common experience in terms of having a question and someone does not want to give the answer is they are giving feedback on you like "Do your own research". There are some instance and outcome on this kind of action first is the person wants you to explore more and discover all the things at your own because they don't want you to just absorb all the things they are giving to you instead they want you to make your own research to enlighten you more about the reality and the real answer. Next is the person does not want help you and they don't want you to spoon feed because one of the common happenings right now is making a question and the other people give you all the things you need and you do not want to make a further research and then this is the one you believes that is correct and you will not accept other people's opinions because you think it's right but at the end of the day you are wrong still one of the best things is make your own research. Btw nice content OP I'm looking forward to your more content.

Once again another amazing article by crabby, I love reading your articles, you write in a manner that everyone could understand even if they are newbies or veterans, they all love to read it and can understand it easily. This is the perfect way to do SEO because you do not write articles for writing sake.

I would say binance academy is a bit biased so I do not use that but the rest is looking good. I personally never used coursera before so I can't say if they are good or not, but if you say they are good I have nothing against it. Coindesk is obvious and has the best articles out there with all the news and you can catch up with it every day.

ICO drops are good for future benchmarks as well, you can check it to see how one thing is good or not and use that for your future investments as well. TradingView is the best out of these, it is the perfect place to study charts and connect with other TA people.

Nice article but in my opinion it is less than what it should be. While you have explained in brief about what is "Do your own research", you have listed very few resources of doing a research. People generally look for sources where they can do a research. I am sure there are threads in this forum where many resources have been listed and I think you should add them to your article. It's always good to have options.

There will never be complete thread mate and let us be thankful that OP exceed efforts at least to let newbies have places
where they can find some few answers in their questions.
we have been seeing this same question for many time and yeah OP is correct that Most answers are "Make Your Own
research" that being annoying as time goes by because
the unlimited answers like that from random posters in this forum in But OP gave some answers and thats must be good
for many of us.

I will take a deep look in your article mate OP and will give my other opinion in enhancing the article for at least benefits
 for Newbies.
Have you read up the entire article or not? What did you find something new? Those are just basic stuffs and i agree on what been said above that when it comes to resources
then theres no specific read-ups that someone can precisely able to avoid investment risk.

Most of the time where research can be done on where people had already experienced loss of money yet most of us will just jump into waters without even knowing
on what we are doing. This is the reality that most likely do happen specially when we are still noobs.

Do your own research if you are serious in terms of investment. It might not be perfect but at least you are getting information and absorbing ideas
that would help out or narrow down your options to take.

Sort of agree with pawanjain about not enough sources but to me,,, it is quite pointless to teach people how to do their own research, because the whole DYOR means that you should be looking for your own sources and info, and then come to your own conclusions. It is your own money after all.
You got the point lol! DYOR means you gonna gather information that provided by the project teams, and check them buy using various sources. You can take other advices as preferences but there's nobody can actually teach you how to do research. Different projects have different information and different way to check the information!

One thing I'm a bit concerned about this DYOR was not all people has good level of reading and compression. Let's admit it, some people that born to be rich are not capable of doing research on there and at that point, the risk will be escalated when a people who have lack of skill in research do DYOR. Imagine a fool reading sweet from scammer project website. Do you think they can uncover the truth?

I believe this DYOR is a case to case basis since we have a different level of IQ tho.

Lol, do your own research by going at Icodrops were a lot of shitty and scammy ICOs gett listed every week. Yeah, nice !

It seems like some people know better than the author what do your own research means, quite encouraging.  Grin
DYOR doesn't mean trust that person not this person, it means question and research if what x and y are saying is right!

I don't have any question, why should I when you have covered everything,  people needs to know before investing, we have coined this word DYOR because people just follow other people's advice, we have seen a lot of people here asking what coins to invest and do they have the right coins in their portfolios they do not have to ask these questions, they should just ask how to research correctly.

One thing makes it an accurate one is the source of information and data. Even you have already the resources to invest with, what matter most is the accuracy of the project and your target investment.

Many lacks the efficiency to make fruitful gains on investment due to this. Remember that in every investment there are potential risks that we face and one of this is the chance of the product to improve and develop well. Best example of this is bitcoin whereas many have doubt with it before but not seeing its potential and ability to help in every environment and business. Anyway good article witty and very well written.

Being precise and confident about your research can make you more courageous about your investment. Your resources will really serve as your basis and support once you are not sure about your decisions. Risks are always there once you start your investment and there's no holding back. Once you've started it and you gained a lot of resources that will guide you towards your investment, that can strengthen your actions whenever you do some transactions. Businesses should always be your priority and you need to have more knowledge because learning is unlimited and complex so there's more you need to know to grow and enhance your investments through research and experiences.
