How much do you think one of those would normally cost per month?

I would not sell it for any less then 200 a month if a true dedicated server.

Give them to me?

Sell them or start a hosting business.
Aren't you supposed to already have 1 unused VPS?
I do, but this one has much better specs. Wink
Pretty valid reason!

Oh, wow. Nice specs.

Please run everything I just listed on each, and give freenet a few terabytes. You can also run a full Bitcoin node on each.

After that, you'll have enough processing power left over to host some VPNs, which you can charge for.
hey! you are not the real nimda! i am!

Tor: https://www.torproject.org/docs/rpms.html.en
Freenet and i2p installers are .jar, straightforward installation. Reference: http://wdnec.com/uncategorized/how-to-install-i2p-server-on-centos-linux/

During Freenet setup you can choose the amount of space. "As much as possible" is appreciated.

which would be better of the two, or should i run one on each.... any basic guides anwhere?

You can run both on each, provided they have the resources.

Tor exit node - this is the IP servers see when someone uses Tor
Tor obfsproxy bridge - needed for users in China where the GFC blocks Tor altogether
i2p node - i2p is like Tor if it only had hidden services.
freenet node - freenet is a distributed datastore - everyone stores some of the data (encrypted)

My suggestion in the other thread.
Setup a "Hack this site" challenge: store a BTC private key on there, first one to the key wins the coins.

Or, if you're not that tech. inclined, do a puzzle based version: numerous puzzles on each page which gives you a couple of characters from a private key. Solve them all and get the coins.

Other than that, I vote a Tor node.
