It will encourage pet abduction  Grin

Its really an interesting concept there but like Vod said, what keeps the pet vet who scanned the chip to buy something else apart from what the dog needs.

There was a concept about scanning the face or the eyes for a wallet, maybe that will also work for the pets not just the dog tag, anyone can steal a dog tag and use it for themselves. Pipe dream or not. Just enjoy your life don't stress your life.

Since the token can be only used for dog supplies, it hopefully will not encourage pet abductions.

What stops people from using it to buy other things?  You believe that pet shop owners are going to collect these tokens they can't spend out of the goodness of their heart?

It's an interesting concept that needs tweaking, but use an existing coin.

Usually, new projects are initiated by the initiators of ideas with attracting interest on Bitcointalk, Reddit and other special forums. And the project team is recruited without the initial payment, and on account of future payments in the project tokens. If you are able to interest competent developers with your project, they will help you to enter the ICO in the future. The only thing I would advise is to get a patent on your idea first.

A few months back I thought of a real world crypto application that could be a billion dollar idea. Every time I ponder it, it becomes more attractive.

Now what the hell do I do with it?

Here are my issues:

I'm not technical enough to even scratch the surface of the project.
I'm not rich. I cant sponsor the idea.
I'm have ALS, both my typing skills and life expectancy suck.

So starting the project myself wont really work.

I would like to make a little money off this idea, but also i would really like to see it implemented.
What is the best way to get the ball rolling, without screwing myself out of any gains for the idea?

If you really trust your project and there is a high chance of success, you can find investors by just making a thread in this forum. But it could be so difficult for you, because of the chances of possible scam for the investors.

Placing his project here will be difficult if he doesn't placed a excellent roadmap on his project, But if he can provide that with proper funding's for anything to support the project then might he gonna get some big investors in the long run. Maybe he should be settle on little first and doesn't bother to face those starting bad challenges and try to pursue whatever he thinks good.

Almost everybody in their life has an idea that could be worth billions, however the major difference between those with ideas, and those with billions, is results! Ideas are completely worthless, the only thing that matters is effort and output, if you put the effort into forming a team that can make the idea become a reality, then you might stand a chance at making the billions.

If your idea isn't inspiring enough to generate a team working pro bono, then it's extremely unlikely that you will be able to achieve huge success with it.

What to do with a billion dollar idea? Do Billion! This is the only answer. You can get funds and everything you need if there are startup funds offers from banks or goverments or from any other services. If you won't tell you idea to anyone, there is no way you can do anything. You need just loyal people around you who won't leak any information. Contact and ask lawers too on privacy details, how to protect your idea from steal or copying.

Launching your own product is a costly thing. I don't want to discourage you, but...

If you have a billion-dollar-idea, get used to the thought that first of all it is a minus-billion-dollar idea.
Specify your business plan. How much you are going to spend on
- developers
- marketing
- sales process
- support
All together your costs will be approximately equal to a billion of dollars.
And only after you spend that much on your project and if it proves to be successful, then and only then you still have a chance to make the sum you dream of.

Invest in a high community or philanthropic project. I couldn't even imagine if there were a billion dollars. Maybe I will invest in startup and consult with relatives.

You're going to have to live by your convictions.

Find someone that shares your vision that might be able to do the hard work and you take care of the rest, ie. admin, marketing, testing.

Also... you're gonna have to throw some money at it... "It takes money to make money"   Grin

Good Luck!

I think the answer is obvious. I do not know what kind of character store you have, but you need to look for investors and interest them with your idea. You need to consult with specialists and look for technical personnel for implementation. The idea always brings a lot of profit, the main thing is to reach the end.

If it is really a billion idea then the best thing to do is to sell all the things you have improve your skills and do the right thing to what is your idea pursuing you, if you reach that billion idea into reality then everything you have invested and sold will be back to it's place or even more to that,  i've seen that vod commented here, try to get intact to him with your idea and let us know what is the outcome if it succeed.

Like mdayonliner said, you should enjoy life to its fullest. If you keep thinking about this idea too much, your health will be affected badly. Added to that, you cannot do anything about your idea. Just share it to your trusted friends. You can try to save money if you really are committed to your idea. I do not know what your idea is, but if it is worth it, then go ahead and talk to your father. Perhaps he can get a loan and help you out. We all have ideas that can make us billionaires. But we need it to get sponsored first.

I second this, unless the idea gives you joy, just don't let it stress you out. I really feel for your situation. At the end of the day, ideas are great, but they aren't worth much until put into practice, so if you can find a partner that can work with you (with your knowledge of the idea), that might not be a bad idea.

Also, don't hold onto your idea not telling anyone for fear of someone stealing your idea. This is a common mistake. At the end of the day, it's not the idea, its the implementation of the idea that counts; and sharing/gathering advice from others is infinitely more valuable than the chance of someone else stealing it.

Sorry to hear that mate.

I suggest you to enjoy your life rather than spending too much time on this billion dollar idea. If you are enjoying this billion dollar idea then share it with your closest friend (you will have to ignore their negative feedback though).

Don't go after someone who is doing 9 to 5 job, they sold themselves to work for others. Pick one who has entrepreneurship skills. S/he does not have to be highly successful. Don't underestimate their struggling. Only an entrepreneur friend (if you can sold1 him the idea of-course) can take the idea from you and turn it into a successful project.

1 This selling is nothing to do with money. What I mean by that is - to make him 100% convinced that this is THE PERFECT idea for him.

Excellent advice holmes....

I do feel out your hardship man when it comes to the situation where you cant do nothing even you do know that you do have that billion dollar idea. As far as I have remembered I do able to see or read up similar thread about these billion dollar idea and I don't know if you are that similar man that do post regarding about this but well back to topic. If you do have the idea but you don't have the skills and the money then it would still remain imaginary which you don't have any choice but to share it up for those people who do have the capability and might consider you to give out some complements.

considering the situation of the us dollar i doubt there will be billion dollar ideas in the long term future

furthermore its possible that you are vastly overestimating that billion dollar idea.

easiest way to get a billion dollar is to just print it.
