Very risky to take a loan to get into mining if you ask me, even though the current benefit of mining is still huge. But who knows if we won't see another crash soon.

RX5xx sell for 20%+ above msrp. Nvidia 1070s go for 400+. You might be able to build an 6x 1070 rig, all components included for somewhere around 3000$. this would in theory net you a current 4400$ a year.

Rumor has it 1070 are kind of your best bang for buck at the moment. They hash ETH at about the same as a good RX570/580 and are better at a few other algos like ZEC.

Well, it all depends on price point. If you're into mining ETH and its forks than RX570/580 is the choice to go with. If not, then GTX 10xx will work too considering the price point.
If you're a geek and enjoy doing all the assembly and work required to keep systems stable, mining is a way to go but do your research before jumping into anything or else buy and hold coins.
