Trading bots maybe not working when you earn money with trading in bitcoin and altcoin, I did manually when start trading and looking with some altcoin have been in support price to buy and sell after raise profit about 5% to 10% depend with situation available for earn higher percent profit or not, I think best moment to start trading by manually.

Bitcoin FTW!
I customized my own strategy almost from scratch, though with a few things borrowed from other places, and I run that strategy using mostly Gunbot on a Google Cloud server that I currently pay for so I can avoid running the software on my home PC 24/7. I just use it for minor trading though, and not particularly like a porfolio manager. I manage my portfolio by hand and manually at home when I have time. I like bots, but I like to have control too.

The API documentation of the exchange and Python [some searches on github]  would solve and automate the most common trading needs free of charge.

Paid bots should make it easy for the user to add/adjust functions and provide enough support.
The pre defined methods are most of the time only there as start point.

Yes, it is good but it still need a manual setup for it to function properly. You also need to monitor it because its performance is not that stable because it is a bot. ... It still needs proper management because it is an automated so you need to still guide on how it deals with the market.

Depends which bot you choose. Arbitrage bots would probably run out of the box but could be expensive.
Most bots will help you with the monitoring part by notifying you when things go out of order or to assure you things are going right.
When using boundaries management will be allot easier.

Are trading bot good?

Read a lot of negative information regarding these bots. If anyone can provide any links to a article that provides details explanation on these bots and also if you can recommend neome bots.
It can be said to be good and bad both at the same time? It depends on your preference. If your confident on leaving your money and let a series of codes do the job for you, feel free to do so. A lot of people can be said to be control conscious so letting a bot handle their trades seems kinda bad and negative for them, which is imo true. But some bots do their jobs properly, just not all the time. A bot pretty much requires constant tinkering whenever you judge the market to be changing, so in the end, you'd still have to manage it for it to be able to provide. Here's a link if you wanna read about it a bit more.

It just help you to trade even without your presence and that's a big help while earning profits. But it still depends on the market if it will succeed or fail. It still needs proper management because it is an automated so you need to still guide on how it deals with the market.

I just want to pop in and tell people to analyse their portfolio situation before taking the decision to make a monthly payment for a bot that manages their allocation for them. Yes, it does save you some time, but if you have a portfolio worth $100 or $1000 is it worth giving even only $20/month? $20 is 2% of your total portfolio. Ask yourself if 15 minutes a day or less if you are more tech-orietend is worth spending $20-$100/month.

I think if you have $1,000 it's worth it. 2% should be pretty easy to make up. You should be able to get that from one trade. Now, if you only had $100 invested, I wouldn't be paying a monthly fee to run a bot. I would look for other free alternatives or just trade manually. Sure, it doesn't take a lot of time to trade everyday, but that's not why I run a bot. I run one(free alternative) just to see what it will end up doing in the long run. It's just a fun little project I have going on a Raspberry Pi. I didn't invest a lot into it.

You're right with what you said and bot also required some management/setting either in other for it to work perfectly in securing ones portfolio. Besides, it not easy as people think.
@OP, bot trading is good but in some cases the fee used is too expensive than the profit and i think it will be better to compare the fee, market condition and profit level before making use of bot.

The first thing I would like to say is please fall for any type of BOT to manage your portfolio. It simply doesn't work. Because the nature of the market is random and it is also ture that Random outcomes can generate Consistent results. BOTs don't know what is best in your interest while we know, so don't fall for this bot trap, I repeat.

I am using Gunbot and so far this bot works like how its advertised. One good thing about Gunbot is the community behind it. Aside form the Telegram group where you can ask questions, the people in that group are very helpful. The developer is not stopping in improving the bot. The price is competitive as well.

If you're asking if trading bot is good, then the answer is correct. It is useful for you so that when you're busy, the trading bot will take care of your wallet and accounts. You're just the one who will monitors and controls it as long as you're available and have free time. The trading bot will handle those transactions and will automatically manage in the market. I use Binance for so long, I recommend it for those who are interested.

I don't use trading bit nowadays as it all seems fake, I have tried telegram bots but their not showing accurate result. It feels like a waste of time so better read the charts, be updated in crypto news or simply watch the coinmarketcap charts if trading with different alts, as for me now I prefer to watch on trading few alts, to focus and have better analysis.

trading bots is not telegram bots, it's really a different thing. Trading bot is a software that could do buy and sell with some algorithm made by humans to gain profits and sometimes it's just worth on an exchange because it only monitor one exchange and buy and sell when it reach the target, also doing stoploss when the price drops hard.
I never tried using bots and doing manual trading since day one, and i think it is really complicated using a bot to trade on your portfolio and once they fail then it will put your money in risk and having a stop-loss is not reliable unless you didn't put a lot of money on it.

Maybe I could try it maybe someday and try if its worth it to use a bot, just for testing purposes and compare it using a manual trading.

Looking for advertising deal
ALmost everything in the industry runs on teamviewer in some part so this is what I am doing too. Get good version of TV and you can attach it's signals to anything handwritten or some commercial solutions. There is plenty of them in the market and you can easily find something that suits you. Pricing is usually 30-100usd a month depending on what plans you choose so you don't need huge capital to make it worth.

I setup Gekko to run a neuralnet trading BTC/XMR on paper just to see how well it would do before I invest in it. It's up only 2% over the last week. It's not really doing that great.. I'm hoping it will learn as it goes and pick it up a little bit and make it worth investing in. I mean, XMR is up 2% just today. Seems like it should be doing better than that. It has made good trades whenever it does though.

having a "portfolio" in this market is the silliest thing that a trader can do. they should only own bitcoin for long term and trade altcoins short term.
as for trading and using a bot i have never been able to justify paying for one that uses silly strategies. i have created my own and although it may not be as fancy as some of those bots that are being sold but it does what i want well enough and since i am well aware of what it does, i can use it the best way possible which gives me a better efficiency.

There are few known trading bots that are existing but I have never tried any of them. I just don't feel the need of using it, I can manage on my own and software nowadays are dangerous if you're not aware of what you're downloading.

You don't download and use just because you've seen someone suggested and shilled it. It doesn't work that way, there are still people who are using trading bots but they know how to use it. Just because it's a "bot" it still doesn't guarantee you profit if you don't how to use and manage it.

Basically, a bot can't work on its own, it has to be programmed to our liking. It means it repeats the actions that we have analyzed before. And I really felt it was unnecessary. You know, it only helps us a little bit, it's not a good way for us to make transactions. The market changes a lot and in a variety of ways, we should adapt and decide for ourselves, preferably in the ways that bots are available. Not a good trader, but I'm confident that I don't need to use bots to trade.
Most people do have these kind of perception towards trading bots which they do believe that these tools can generate money or profits for them and even thinking to be rich with it without even realizing that this is just for automation purposes and do still need user intervention on setting it up.
So in short, all actions will depend or vary on users knowledge and skills. If you arent that familiar enough then using this up would be useless.
I have tried to use bot ones but didnt tend to be dependent on it yet most of the times that crypto trading do emphasis more on adaptation on case to case basis from time to time which bots cant handle out.

I use 3commas app to just view the movement of my portfolio value, the daily, weekly or monthly profits and losses i have made. I prefer doing the trades myself and not having to rely on a bot.

So anyway, I applied as a merit source :)
OP is actually promoting his own blog traffic by posting here.

If you ask me, I manage my portfolio myself and I dont trust some line of code to run my money. Moreover there are risks associated with closed source bots, but open source ones are safer.

Just for those who are reading this topic, know that a bot only automates your trade. It does not give automatic profit. If you do TA on your own and Fundamental analysis, you should place trades yourself and that too with a long term goal. Day trading is never recommended which is what these bots mainly aim at.

just because now is the digital era so to take care of our finances handed over by bots, I do not guarantee it will always be good, especially managing our finances in crypto or crypto currency portfolios that we have, I might be able to take care of other things using bots I think still maybe, but to take care of my money, I've never used bots, I still don't know if a lot of all bots produce big profits for their owners, it doesn't seem like much

I didn't use any trading bots to manage my portfolio. Because I think it's best not to use bots for trading When using bots, they are often scammed. That is why you do not work with bots to manage your portfolio by manually researching and analyzing different places which will increase your knowledge and skills about trading.

I don't. I see no need to use bots in managing my portfolio when I myself can do it. I can make sure it's accurate and what I really wanted that way even. I had the idea of using one in the past, but then I thought of how I need to get used to doing my own, to managing my own portfolio so that I could learn things myself through out the entire way I am trading. Plus, I could react to unexpected changes and profit off of them, unlike in bots where I can only set a stop loss.
It's a good thing to learn by your own and I believe that trading bots doesn't suit to you very well because you still have time and effort to make your own trades  at your own. However as time goes by, you may find trading boring and you could be having a diffculty in terms of managing with your time at work, personal life, and trading. Thus, trading bots can be an option to get rid of this problem as it resolves a hussle way of doing trading.

I think manage portfolio can be done by you as trader, please don't use bot or other personal service. You should have control into your account ( asset ) and learn how to manage it from your own perspective. Trader need to raise their best skill and grow up follow the market. Fix the mistake, train your instinct and open your mindset to become wise trader that only can be reach by you not from using bot.

I'm not really using a trading bot at the moment  but I did use a few in the past. One of my personal favorite trading bots is Cornix Bot. It's a telegram based trading bot with tons of features like setting custom strategies. It also features auto trading. A feature that allows people to automatically make trades that 'PRO traders" make in real time without you doing anything. It's similar to etoro' s follow trader service. It's not my best feature though. I simply use it to automate some of my trading tasks like repeatedly setting stops loss.
