I am sure the longest case involves the genesis block.
The genesis block (block #0) was created on 2009-01-03 18:15:05 while the the block #6 was created on 2009-01-09 03:29:49.

Just out of curiosity I was trying to find this out but couldn't find a way. I'm just curious how long it took to confirm both the fastest and the slowest payment (since most places requires 6 confirmations)
Whatever historical value you would get it would not say anything about the future.What we do know is that the network is design to generate one block every 10 minutes.
So on average it will take 60 minutes for 6 confirmations.
