I have 2 Casio watches, both have performed nicely. This company is certainly a good choice if you want something normal and affordable and reliable to use every day and don't worry about scratching or losing it.

My watch is collecting dust in a drawer, always use my phone to see the time.

I don't know many people who wear watches these days. Everyone just seems to check their phone. I think the people who do wear watches do so just as a fashion statement. One of my mate's used to wear a watch everyday even though it was broken. Was funny seeing people ask him for the time and him just having to explain everytime that it didn't work.

Yeah.  It's difficult to say if watches will still be around in say 50 years or so.  While you can just use your phones to see the time, watches still are a sort of fashion statement for the wealthy & upper class.  I think that cheap watches that the general public used to wear will probably become extinct.

I should use one but not used to use one. My smartphone's clock does a great job btw!
The only reason to wear a watch nowaday is to "bling, bling" at people - show people you are loaded or if a hipster, or maybe if you reallllly love watches, or if you can't have phone on you etc. There is no other reason really to wear something otherwise useless if you have phone.

I haven't worn a watch since middle school. Just feels cumbersome and bothersome to have it around my wrist for some reason. I just check my phone nowadays if I need the time. I think that's what everyone does these days but I could be wrong.

Those new smart-watches look promising though. I'm about to look into what those babies can do.

Citizen Eco-Drive Blue Angel Edition.   I like a heavy watch that can take a beating.  I can easily slip it over my fist if I need to and not try to hit someone with a mobile phone

Great watch

Up to five years ago, I was an avid watch wearing, but after the last one's battery died, I never returned to the practice. Ironically, I have that same watch in my truck's armrest storage compartment with the intent of having the battery replaced at Walmart, thus saving me two bucks compared to purchasing a new watch. Originally, the dead watch was in my previous ride, transferring to the current one. One day I'm goin' splurge and save me two bucks. Just watch me!  Roll Eyes

A what? Is that like a handkerchief or one of those compacted discs my grandma has a prescription for? Or is it more like those old lightbulbs people used to have which'd burn you if touched?

Why, I remember way back... in my dad's day, people used to watch television for free. You put up this 20' wide satellite dish and used a star chart or something to align it. (btw, I laughed flipping through a Best Buy paper advertisement the other day... we went from CRTs to flat screens, and now having a "curved screen" is supposed to be a selling point again... can't wait for vacuum tubes to come back...)

Oh, and you had to talk to get things back then, too - like you had to talk to the pump jockey at the gas station, people used something called "voice phones," and human beings made food at these big brick & mortar buildings with all sorts of tacky crap on the walls where a service person would actually come up to people regularly to take customer input. They even used internal combustion engines! Apparently, people used to set up rows of metal cylinders in enormous car frames, pumped them full of flammable liquid, and tried to time freakin' explosions inside them like wizards to push the vehicle forward. Speaking of wizards - that's how they used to fight, too -- they'd take human beings and try training them to accurately explode metal bits at each other.

I have my watch sitting on shelf. When got my first phone i soon stopped wear it. But my watch is cool. made from titanium. Seiko SQ50. Might be one day worth fortune, since was placed on shelf so unused.

is similar like this with few details changed. I actually got it for my high school graduation from my aunt. I felt quite bad when once she ask me why i dont wear it.
