That will be a question if what will happen if bitcoin continue its fall of price? What will be the impact to the investors and traders?

In the next few weeks/months if bitcoin does break the $3k support level, a lot of TA has shown that there is a lack of support below that level until around $1k. I personally don't think that is accurate in terms of bitcoin crashing down that fiercely in such a short period of time, but it could definitely spark a round of panic dumping as people capitulate within the market.

I guess this only affects traders, as panic dumping is really in the context of the short term.

But in the long run, it doesn't really affect how bitcoin technology is being adopted, used, and accepted globally. Price volatility in the short term shouldn't dictate the long term mechanisms and the fundamentals of bitcoin at all. It's the reason why long term holders should not be worried whatsoever, even if BTC continued to depreciate. All they should be worried about is whether accumulating further is within their means or not.

The price cannot fall forever at some point those that have money like the whales will decide that it is enough and they will begin to buy bitcoin once again, we do not know what price they are looking for but it cannot be much lower than what we are already seeing as most of those that wanted to sell their coins probably already did it and there are not huge numbers of them anymore in the market.

I agree with you there dude. At some point, the trend will reverse. Though it's not something that would continuously propel us back to a new ath. I don't believe we'll have  ath soon. But definitely once the bottom is hit recovery may be swift especially if it bottoms out at a very low price.
Another all time high is not going to happen soon, it will probably take a few years before the price of bitcoin reaches similar levels again but a recovery that at least bring us back to the previous levels of 6000 dollars for each coin should probably happen during the next year and even if that does not seem like a lot that means that those that buy now could easily double their money in a year.

This decrease makes the holder become depressed and thinks that holding bitcoin will only make the loss worse. In decline we need to be patient and stay calm, and for the next few months bitcoin will recover.

For obvious reasons, investors or traders are going to lose a lot of money if the market continued its free fall. There might be a scenario that some big bagholders chooses to exit as this point who knows.

There might be a lot of questions whether WB is really right is calling bitcoin a poison rat and I'm sure that those people who are attacking bitcoin right now will say "I told you so". LMAO. However, for those purist (which is majority of people here), this is the best time to invest and look for the long haul. So let's hope that everyone will have that mind set and wait till another bull run happen sometime in the future.

That will be a question if what will happen if bitcoin continue its fall of price?

Let's give an example:

today the price is in the $10,000 for example and you have 0.01 btc that is equal to $100, you want to buy a shirt that costs $25, you want to buy a shoe that costs $50, you want to buy a hat that costs $25, so with 0.01 btc you can buy the shirt, the hat and the shoe. But if the price of bitcoin drops to  $3000 then your 0.01 btc becomes only $30 and you will not be able to buy many things.

with the fall of price you will spend more bitcoins to buy things in Fiat

What will be the impact to the investors and traders?

they will have losses if they sell below the price they bought

What will be the possible outcome if bitcoin still continue to depreciate?

Price will eventually reach bottom and from that point on there will be a period of stability before price will start grow again.  Biggest change that is happening right now is structure of Bitcoin owners. Institutions are slowly taking over Bitcoin.

People will start to move away form crypto currency as they will fear that it will never start to recover and investing is not worth anymore. This will discourage many people to invest and thus people will sell and market will crash further.

All what you said is happening right now. But at same time institutions are buying Bitcoin and good alt coins.

A major upset. People are already hanging in on a thin ice and many of them fallen in and the rest of it is scared to fall as well hence if it went down any further down there will be a lot more people (and business) that go down as well. The only ones that stay will be the ones who are rich and all the small investors will get out making bitcoin and crypto something like gold where small investors don't hold too much but big investors have a lot.

I do not think we can cover too much of this, we need to get back to at least above $5k to keep who we are and have a little more volume in order to save bitcoin, otherwise we are not going to be this major innovation we are. I know it sounds really scary but that is what it is for us right now. We can't afford to lose, we need to win or there will be a worldwide affect on a scale we can't even imagine.

Of course, there will be a decrease in the level of trust in Bitcoin. Investors will think of making the best decision.
Whereas before that investors trusted Bitcoin very much. This is an unavoidable impact.
Give confidence to Bitcoin and we will be able to achieve an increase in the assets we have.
This will be a challenge because we must have the courage to make the best decisions.

The atmosphere is totally different now than 2014. In 2014 the altcoin market was on FIRE, there were coins going 10x-100x every fucking week. Now, the entire market is stagnant, it is dead because of the kyc requirements of exchanges and governments watching for pump/dump schemes.

The altcoin market was only that way in early 2014, before it was apparent we were in an all-out bear winter. Mid to late 2014 was really bearish for altcoins. It's a similar situation now.

Most investors don't care about KYC at all. I'm not sure what net effect government attention might have since it actually provides legitimacy to cryptocurrency as the regulated market forms.

At least every investor will refrain from investing again, this is a factor that I fear when the price of bitcoin continues to decline. For people who have a small investment in bitcoin, they will assume that this is a common thing because the market will recover when some good information comes. However, investors who issue large capital to invest they will not think so, they will assess the continued decline in prices will make them leave.

They'll lose money. Then life will go on. Wink I doubt there will be any implications for non-cryptocurrency markets.

I'm sure new investors are hurting right now, but if they can wait a few years and hold onto their coins, they'll probably make good profits. I was around in 2014 and the atmosphere now is pretty similar.

If bitcoin breaks $3000 level and enter below $1000 level, then just buy and forget for 2 or 3 years as it wont rise before that if seeing the past history. Because the investors sentiment will be hurt very badly after seeing $20k high level and now going below $1000. Bitcoin wont die but it will go to comma for some months. Till some high level of inside accumulation is not happened it wont spike.

Hopefully we would finally be rid of all those speculators who entered the Bitcoin scene with $$$ signs in their eyes. The people who would be left behind would be the true supporters of this technology and the people who deserve the biggest reward, when this bounce back again.

The same thing happened with people who held onto their shares during the Dot-com bubble <1995 to 2001> and I can tell you that I was one of them.

Blood was on the street and people were running away from any kind of IT investment. I held onto my shares and I even bought some more shares in promising companies. Year later, I sold some of those shares at a massive profit.  Grin
What I really don't understand is after so many early bitcoin-earners sharing their stories, experiences rather by not getting affected by the market which we get that holding at times of dump can be an advantage. Bitcoin will not easily die like what others are saying, yes the price is rising and dumping but it is jut a cycle. Not all times will the price of bitcoin at high price, the same with low price. Changes are inevitable.

bitcoin is not deprecating, it is just the price that had a drop. and nothing will come out of this except a change in the size of the whales who have been super active in the past couple of weeks. they were big whales and soon they will become gigantic whales. after they continue the same thing a couple of more times they become Moby Dicks eventually since the market is letting them play with the price and make profit from it easily.
Yeah, if you look at the technology of bitcoin you can see a great development and that appreciate its value. Whales are getting bigger now simply because of the cheaper price, now they can control the market easiliy in the future. As a small investors, we can’t do anything to stop this we just need to be more patience and wiser, if its possible to ride with the whales much better.

What will happen if the price continues to drop?

It's obvious, the smart money will continue to buy coins, and the price will start to rise. As always, the savvy investors will make money, and the FaGs ( fear and greed) speculators will continue to give them their money.

The crypto market cap didn't lose a trillion USD in 2014, then it was a few million, this bitch ain't coming back.

Get over it, and deal with reality.

Where in the HELL is the new Trillion going to come from to blow the bubble next time? QE? Nada, that was a one trick pony uncle-scam played, and much of QE flowed to BTC and other shit-coins.

you don't need anywhere near a trillion dollars to get a trillion dollar market cap. and with the perpetual launch of altcoins, the total market cap gets easier and easier to pump.

in 2014, the crash was also unprecedented and more value was lost than ever before---by orders of magnitude. having a larger market cap this time doesn't matter anymore than it did last time.

For long-term investors, even if Bitcoin drops 10 times, it is not much different from the present. In my opinion, people who still hold Bitcoin have lost more than 80% of their money, and then drop 10 will not care too much for them.

To investors, yes there will be a huge impact since they bought it at a higher price and now the price continues to go down.

For traders, I don't think it will impact them that much compare to the investors only especially if there are a professional trader. If you are trading cryptocurrency, the main objective you need to do is to accumulate more Bitcoin and forget its USD value.

it might end up being a pointless trash token, people globally change the way they think about money.

and it will end up being a small ignored community token. like many others,

other altcoins, become more important, and the the way the people think about the indexation system will change.

Of course they will lose money if they sell it on low price but if those investors really trust bitcoin and hold it till the end the price might come back no one just can tell you "when" but Im sure it will.

And we also know that bitcoin price will rise again after the dip.

When BITCOIN falls to $400 people will be lucky

When Bitcoin falls to $100, people will wish it was $400

Who will continue to buy into a collapsing ponzi? I'm sure we'll still see the normal assholes here yelling "HODL" all the way to zero.

When BTC get's to $1, people will talk about $21k, and nobody will ever believe it was true.

Heavy loses on the part of investors be it on small or big, short term or long term. The massive sell off really alarming on the part all the Bitcoin support system. if this will continue to decline to a Predicted lowest level by some expert. it would result to very low confidence level of the consumers on the market. But for me once Bitcoin bottom to that level there is no way but up again. As always market correction follow after the drops.
I agree on that, bitcoin is really decentralized and after the dip it will always rise up high again. We all know that the bitcoin is really amazing and many people really love it and wanted to have it because of its amazing value.  Maybe we are now on the dip but in the near future I believe that it will moon again. We can all gain on it if we have a string hands to hold. So I suggest everyone to hold on until the price rise.

It's largely dependent on the factors causing the price drop.
This current crash is down to mining issues with hashrates down to the second greatest low, and a number of miners exiting. It's very possible we find the bottom soon and hold that position.
Investors would naturally panic during a dip, but would be wise to hodl. Traders would need to invent new ways to profit

The outcome will be a complete loss on the part of bitcoin holders. But I do not believe that it will continue to slide till zero. There is a lot of good news that is coming up that will really push the price back and gradually it will reach back to a reasonable price level. SEC is likely to give Bitcoin ETF a go-ahead to commence early 2019 this will be a massive push for cryptocurrency.

When trading there are only two options
1)Profit
2)Loss
This are the only two worse case scenario, and as such the only two possible outcomes for traders/investors,but if the price keeps depreciating as you asked, then we'll be left with only one option

If it's a long term trader who believes in hodling his coins, and then decides to sell off probably at a reduced price in relation to the purchase price, hence such trader has incurred a loss
If such trader decides to hodl, then it's practically not a loss yet per se

If its a day/active trader then there wouldn't be so much positives to look out for if the market keeps depreciating, which would make any sort of feasible quick profits impossible

HODL is the key to wealth
If I were just starting out I would buy a small amount - say, 1/4 of a bitcoin and store it away.  Then wait.  It could very well be worth 1/4 of a million dollars or more in several years.  Nobody knows for sure.

I think there will be positive and negative outcomes if bitcoin continue its fall of price. Of course during this time you can buy lot of bitcoin because the price is very cheap , you can invest and hold until the price rises so you can sell it. In that time you can already earn huge profit.
