there are a lot of things could be happening, I think people are holding money for the month of December so that they are spending money what they want. I believe that this is one of the reasons for raising the price of every cryptocurrency.
Since this month is a festival time because of the Christmas and New year so that people are enjoying leisure time that's why money circulation is greater than any other months. So that anything could be possible regarding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies market.

Christmas is aroung the corner. Everyone will be busy buying gifts and planning what they will do for christmas. will that cool the bitcoin craze?

I have a feeling that a lot of people who had put money in or waited to cash out but overruled by the increase in price will have to do so because of the amount of fiat needed to meet the festivities of this time you want to take a vacation, buy gifts, celebrate with friends and families, all these will require funds so I see a fall in the price as more people are wanting to convert into fiat.

On the other hand, it also comes with opportunity to the liberals, Muslims, Jews etc who see no need to celebrate and Christmas would come and go but we will still be here looking for how to meet our life needs. They will see this as an opportunity to spread their wealth by acquiring more bitcoin at the low price. Putting this two forces together, the fall might not have  much effect though.

I think bitcoin will grow up this christmas until end of the year. I see another altcoins is also grow fast this christmas.
This year for me is amazing year for altcoins. In future I sure many investors will invest in altcoins, because they already see altcoins more profitable more than gold.

That's very religiocentric of you.

Christianity is followed by only 31% of the world's population. https://www.google.com/search?q=what+percentage+of+the+world%27s+population+is+christian&oq=what+percentage+of+the+world%27s+pop&aqs=chrome.5.69i57j0l5.11283j0j7&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

So the majority of the world doesn't recognize the Christmas holiday....that day is just business as usual for these people.

And for those that are Christian will be home, not working, and think "hmm, maybe I should buy some Bitcoin?!"

It's a world market, man, the world never sleeps.

There is nothing that is going to happen during Christmas. Bitcoin will be having its normal price rally in my opinion. Why do people assume that Festivals will trigger market impact?

1 month back we were expecting Bitcoin to reach $10,000 by the year end. Now thats long done we should expect the price to reach around $20,000 by the year end now its we are close to $19000, Unless some big news will tumble the coin price.

When people got money and they are in the festive mood then money supply would increase in the market, So that anything could have happened. especially, in the capital and cryptocurrency market could face a price bumping and volatile situation.
Basically, In the December, Money circulation and money market could face either disaster or booming situation.

I guess most people that wanted to cash out for christmas already did so. Or is everyone here a last minute christmas shopper? Smiley

I wouldn't be surprised if we'd see more market action than usual around christmas. It seems like large moves always happen when less people are watching (or are supposed to be watching). Which direction is anyone's guess though. I assume it will mostly depend on what floor the current dip settles on.

After Emil Oldenburg's speech, Bitcoin price has decreased so much. anyway, Bitcoin needs to take a rest after a long growth. it will come back after Christmas Eve.
His speech can't have long term impact on bitcoin, many newbie investors are just selling their bitcoin in panic after that announcement + coinbase listed bitcoin cash that's why money is flowing from bitcoin to bitcoin cash right now.

When they will realize real bitcoin is not bitcoin cash they will shift back to bitcoin. Hold tight, another bitcoin train is coming...
Bitcoin Cash is a very strong competitor to Bitcoin. Actually, BCH is not just a fork - it is a refusal to introduce technology SegWit.

Christmas event has already driven bitcoin price to below $16,000, it was a huge drop suddenly since november.
But now i can see the price is again rising gradually, many people were waiting for such price drop moment and they might have got it good time to buy because we couldn't expect more drop in bitcoin, it has to grow more than $20,000 now

The price is determined by Supply and Demand. Before Xmas most people might sell some of their coins to buy some Xmas presents and this might flood the exchanges with some more coins than ussual.

This will mean that there will be a slightly higher supply than demand and that will push down the price. So I would expect that the price might decline over Xmas.

I think people will use all the profits they have got last 6 months of bitcoin growth on gifts and so on. The BTC price should take a chill a lil bit cos constant growth is good though it's dangerous for us.

For sure many people will enjoy their bonuses and other people will consider to put some of thier investments in cryptos to try their lucks. As usual I think the confirmation of bitcoin transaction in this month would be a bit slower and stressful again due to the high volume bitcoin transaction, so expect the high fees if you will transfer, trade  or buy bitcoin. Maybe some people will use their bitcoin to purchase their needs for christmass or buy new things like gadgets or a car.

I think that the same scenario which occurs during chinese new year celebrations would occur once more.Earlier, chinese used to sell their bitcoins for the festival celebrations. Now both christmas and new year are coming with just one week gap. So,we could expect a small dip in bitcoin price. But this time, bitcoin has a much broader network and so there is a huge buy wall which could make bitcoin recover its price quickly.
