What options will gpus have if scrypt become too difficult. Just n-scrypt and x11?

Multipools will switch over to algos other than scrypt .

I figure we will see Scrypt-N multi-pools and more Scrypt-N altcoins.

What will happen to the Multi Pools(Coin Switching) once all these more powerful Scrypt ASIC’s come on line?
Obviously LTC’s difficulty will shoot way up so will the MP’s still be able to generate a decent Payout per 1 MH’s etc?
The MP's gave life to the folks that could not affored to Mine BTC.
Just trying to wrap my head around what things will look like 6 months from now..
