Fees usually have people thinking twice before buying in. If they buy in at $100, they have  to predict that it will hit ~$104 before they make any profit.

With no trading fees people know that if they buy in at $100, they only have to wait until $100.01 to make any profit.

It changes the dynamic because people have to use a little more brain power to analyze which way the stampede will run.

Haven't a clue but a lower fee would see me trading more.

If the Goxster can handle it, so can I!

They'll probably be a victim of their own success again, and you know how that plays out.

Wouldn't volume decrease as fees increase? I mean, assuming people were logicial, which they apparently aren't.

There won't be as much of these $1 back-and-forth things. There still will be some though.

I have fiat sitting in MtGox and I am just sitting and watching right now.

Without any fees right now, gut feeling is that quite a few of the back and forth tradings going on are people trying to make a buck here and there from continual buying/selling.

Trade fees go back into effect tonight.

Any thoughts on what changes (if any) that's going to create in value?
