I was thinking of doing a primecoin knockoff called primatecoin. I'd also like Bonobocoin. Who doesn't love cute bonobos?
Insanity, all these coins absolutely insanity, no one offers new functions, not one offers new algorithms...
Just a shitty rename of foocoin with some poorly thought out variable changes. Everyone who releases a coin and this goes for anyone who already has,
they should be removing the genesis creation code entirely out of the source, so if anyone wants to create some shitty random coin, first they must learn a thing or two about the protocol....

That is why there are never Windows binaries released on launch.
I don't think so. It's just kinda tricky to compile binaries for this piece of shit. 
My guess is that you guys that can't afford mining hardware create coins in the hopes of getting a bunch during the insta-mine. That is why there are never Windows binaries released on launch. Only the source, that you have already compiled and pointed your shitty video cards at.
